“I was skeptical at first after seeing the cage our dog, Fiona, would be housed in. However, seeing the large yard made me feel better as she is your and full of energy and loves to run. Marcella took good care of Fiona based on the pictures and videos sent daily during her stay. Also, Fiona was clean and happy when we picked er up. If we travel without our dog in the future, Marcela will be our go-to,”

“Absolutely incredible dog‑sitting experience with Cindy, Steve, and their family. We booked them to watch our dog, Jackson, over a holiday weekend, and they went above and beyond in every way. They didn’t just take care of him, they welcomed him into their family. They kept us updated every day with playful pictures and sweet check‑ins so we always knew how he was doing and how much fun he was having. When Jackson came home, he was refreshed, happy, and clearly well‑loved. He was excited to see us but also so relaxed that he spent most of the day snoozing—proof he had the best time and felt completely comfortable in their home. We will absolutely be using Cindy and Steve again anytime we need someone to care for our fur baby. Their kindness, communication, and genuine love for dogs make them truly exceptional sitters.”

“Britney is truly amazing. She’s been our go to sitter since last November. This time we had to go out of town with little advance notice. Britney responded very quickly that she would watch our dog. She eagerly took on the care of our dog despite the dog having a strain knee ligament. While Britney pampered Luna, she noted that the injury seemed more than just a strain. She contacted me and help us out by taking Luna to the vet for an x-ray. Turns out it was a tear, no a strain. I’m n order to keep Luna off the leg, she even slept on the couch and the floor with Luna! That is caring. I can’t praise her enough!”

“Suzanne should be your first option for dog boarding. Going anywhere else just doesn't make sense. She is meticulous in her preparation to receive your dog. And when she has your dog she genuinely treats her/him like part of her family.”

About: I have worked as an office coordinator in a veterinary clinic when I was younger and have always had a extreme LOVE for animals. We have always had pets in our family and would love to show some love to yours, while bringing you peace of mind. I am not currently working, so very flexible when it comes to schedules. I can do a last minute pop in, if need be. Happy to help out in what ever manner you might need. We live in a townhouse, so if your fur baby is here, I will have them on a leash at all times. I love walking, so if they need lots of excersize, that is what I would do with them. We do have a dog and a cat in our home.
“Stephany did a fantastic job taking care of our cat, Tom. Daily updates, with photos, were sent. Tom acclimated very well. I would highly recommend you board your cat or dog with Spephany! Thanks again!”

“Robin is great. It is the only place my dog goes willingly and isn’t running out the door to leave when we pick her up. So nice to have a trusted place when leaving our dog.”

“Very friendly and their living arrangements are great. Very flexible and my dog Charly loves it there. They have sent me numerous videos of Charly since I left her. They are wondrful”

“Cecil really enjoyed his vacation with Tara, Justin and their beautiful kids. Cecil was intimidated by kids before his vacation and now interacts with them calmly. He misses scavenging beneath the high chair! We will be asking Tara & Co to care for Cecil at least twice more this year…thru Rover of course. We are really very pleased 😁”

“Floyd and Connie took great care of our Bella. She looked very happy in all the photos they sent and made sure she had her medications. I would not hesitate to leave Bella with them again.”

“Marybeth and Russ provided excellent care to Finn. They sent us updates and pictures where we really appreciated. Finn seemed very happy when we picked him up which pleased us.”

“Svetlana took very good care of my Golden Retriever puppy. It’s was over the 4th of July weekend and she was very patient and gentle with Macy and experiencing the noise for the first time. I would highly recommend her.”

“Nick was an amazing host to scout for 10 days. This was my first time boarding a dog so I was not sure what to expect, but Nick went above and beyond to keep me at ease while I was out of the country by sending multiple photo/video updates every day and notes about scouts behavior and integration with the other animals.”

“Kimber was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Carmelo. From the moment I dropped him off, I felt confident he was in caring and capable hands. Kimber provided daily videos and updates, which gave me tremendous peace of mind while I was away. It was clear from every update that Carmelo was comfortable, happy, and receiving plenty of attention. Her home is clean, welcoming, and very dog-friendly, creating the perfect environment for dogs to feel safe and relaxed. Most importantly, it's immediately obvious that Kimber is a true dog lover. She genuinely cares about the animals she watches and treats them like members of her own family. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and will absolutely trust Kimber with Carmelo again in the future. If you're looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, and truly passionate about dogs, I highly recommend Kimber. She exceeded all of my expectations!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
