“Viktoryia was flexible and accommodating with our tight travel schedule and kept us updated with plenty of photos while we were away. Finn looked happy and well cared for. Thank you!”

“Carol was wonderful! Our 6 month old GSD is full of energy and can be a lot for some people, but they handled her just fine. When we picked her up she was so content and happy, and was wore out from all of the exciting walks she was able to go on while staying with Ms. Carol.”

“Robin is great. It is the only place my dog goes willingly and isn’t running out the door to leave when we pick her up. So nice to have a trusted place when leaving our dog.”

“Stephany did a phenomenal job keeping our French Bulldog. She communicated throughout the day with pictures! She genuinely loves what she does. Highly recommend her. She has heart of gold.”

“Brittany and Joe were fantastic and took care of FiFi for 10 days. They were caring, attentive and communicative. FiFi loved snuggling with them in bed and running around their fenced in backyard. Will definitely use them again!”

“Linda and her family were able to watch Duke on very short notice after a family emergency. She was very helpful in a stressful situation and we appreciate that Duke was able to be with his second family and was safe and sound. Thank you for always being so kind and caring to us and to our fur babies!”

“First I want to say thank you Monica!! At the last minute we needed a sitter for our young little fur baby and Monica was so wonderful and worked with me and was able to take care of him. More than take care of him but love him. He had so much fun and made puppy friends. Amazing experience 😁”

“Thank you Jennifer for caring for Bailey. It was nice to get pictures and updates while we were gone. We’re very glad you and your family enjoyed having him in your home.”

“Suzanne is wonderful. She sends pictures and updates. She asks questions and gets to know your pet and his/her habits in advance. We will definitely use her to watch Dobby again!”
“Jennifer is lovely and a very caring person for my two young Havanese. She sent us pictures throughout the day. We felt confident leaving them with her. We had a video chat first and met her in person when dropping the dogs off. She showed us around where they would be playing and introduced us to her young daughter. She and the dogs seemed to hit it off.”

“Lisa responded very quickly to my request. I booked last minute too, she helped me modify the days so it would fit my needs. Overall, a pleasure to have Lisa watch a friend’s cat. Would recommend. Thank you Lisa!”

“Leslie was so thoughtful and attentive with our pug. She kept us updated throughout the stay and sent lots of photos. He got to spend the weekend playing in the yard with her sweet pug Patrick and we could not be happier to know he was in good hands. Will definitely book her again in the future and recommend to those looking for sitter!”

About: I’ve had pets since I was a young girl. There was always a dog and cats in the house, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I recently lost my dog to old age, and I really miss that daily companionship, which is why I’d love to help care for other people’s pets. I’ve pet sat for friends, family, and neighbors over the years, and now I’m ready to open that up to more families. I’m comfortable with both dogs and cats, and I have two cats of my own. I’m patient, attentive, and I treat every pet like they’re my own—making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m reliable and easy to communicate with, and I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I’m home most of the day, so I have a flexible schedule and can give your pet plenty of attention and care. I do have two kids, so with a little advance notice I’m happy to plan ahead and make sure I’m fully available for your pet’s needs. I’m an active person and enjoy going on walks, so dogs will get plenty of movement and time outside. I’m available for drop-ins, walks, and sitting during the week and weekends, and I can adjust to your pet’s routine to keep things consistent and stress-free. I have a fenced backyard, and pets are always supervised when they’re outside. Most of the day they’ll be with me, so they’re not left alone for long. I handle all feeding, walks, and care myself to keep things consistent and done right. I have two cats that are indoor and outdoor. They’re friendly and used to being around other animals, but they mostly keep to themselves and won’t bother your pet. My home is calm, clean, and safe. My kids are gentle and love animals, and I always make sure interactions are respectful and supervised. I treat every pet like my own and do my best to make them feel comfortable and at home while you’re away.
About: I have grown up with dogs, most of my life. We currently have one dog, named Willow. She is SPOILT! Willow is a 4 year-old, spayed Goldendoodle (29 pounds) and very friendly with other dogs. She loves company and can't wait to meet your furry family member :) I will spoil and love your baby as I do mine! We also have one cat, that keeps mostly to himself. I am a Stay-At-Home mom to two boys. Middle and High School aged. My husband works from home. Our family are big animal lovers. I am available all throughout the day and week to care for your pet! My schedule is very flexible. We are an active family that enjoys hiking, going to the beach, fishing, and regular walks in our neighborhood. We live in a quiet gated community. I am also available to come to your home to do checkups and tend to your pets. Whatever you would like - I can do! Your pets will be well loved, well exercised and well cared for while with me. I can work with whatever you would like (or don't like) for your pets. Clean Bedding and Toys Provided!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Venice
Hank had a wonderful time staying with Ray and his son! Ray sends frequent updates and photos, so we never needed to worry. Even without a dog of their own, they had plenty of supplies on hand and clearly adore dogs - Hank was welcome on the couch and bed the whole stay. So glad we found them when our regular sitter wasn’t available!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
