“Marley and her husband are AMAZING !! The care for our 1 1/2 Pomeranians was the best . They send us pics every morning videos at least twice during the day . It made it so calming to see them happy , playing with Marley’s Doodles. We really did not worried after the 1st day we left them . Thank you guys !! We will definitely use you guys again !!!!??????”

“As usual Doris had a great time at Miss Kathy's house and practically didn't want to leave. We recently moved north to St Petersburg, but if I travel south, we'll be dropping Doris with Miss Kathy every time!!”

“Linda was a terrific nanny for Oscar! She responded very quickly to my request, had a prompt and positive meet and greet… and was kind and caring during Oscar’s stay. We received numerous pictures of his “making himself at home” and a happy reunion after 12 days. Highly recommended!”

“Denise and Brett were amazing with Xena. Upon drop off, both asked questions regarding Xena’s specific needs, barriers, etc to make sure she was comfortable and “at home” . I would highly recommend and will be using again in the future!”

“Jennifer was absolutely amazing with our 3 dogs while we were on vacation. It was the first time we had ever left them behind, so naturally we were nervous. I didn’t want to overwhelm her by constantly checking in, but she reached out every day with updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. When we picked them up, the dogs were happy, clean, and clearly well cared for. We are so grateful and would absolutely trust Jennifer with our dogs again!”

“Second time my dog has stayed with Fran and it was another wonderful experience. She takes such good care and I love the photo updates she sends. Thank you for taking care of Madi!”

“Jewell is a true jewel!! My nervous pup flourished with her and her sweet pups. My dog is a singlet and isn’t around dogs a lot !Jewell’s pups welcomed her into their home and became great friends with my pup. I appreciate the socialization she received while staying with Jewell. We will be using her again. She is amazing, her home setup is perfect. Jewell is fantastic for nervous dogs. Highly recommended!”

“Viktoryia was a pleasure to talk to and her whole family definitely loves and cares for dogs. Her place is amazing and the dogs absolutely couldn’t get enough of their little adventure. We picked our pups up clean and happy, you could tell they had a lot of fun! I would recommend everyone to reach out as we were worried about our boys but she kept us informed and confident the entire time we were away!”

“Cherolyn is wonderful with Simba- she is so happy to spend time with him and I know he gets so much love and attention from the updates she provides. He also comes home tired which is a great sign that he has lots of playtime when he is there. He also squeals with delight and excitement during the car ride when he realizes he is going there. I couldn’t ask for more in a sitter!”

“She sent lots of pictures and was very accommodating with sh l schedule for pick up and drop off, as well as a meetup to make sure the dogs got along with her dogs. Plenty of space for the dogs to run around and play outside including a nice shaded area with a koi pond. Thank you for taking care of our dogs while we were away for the weekend.”

“Merve was absolutely wonderful with our dog — hands down the best experience we’ve had with a sitter. She was always prompt with her communications, took the time to understand all the unique things our dog needs for care, and was super warm and caring for our dog. Plus, she consistently proactively provided picture and video updates so we knew all was good. Would highly recommend Merve!”

“Nathalie took great care of our two Chihuahuas for 10 days, including one who is elderly. Nathalie took lots of extra care and attention to make sure he was eating well. She sent pictures and videos every day. When I picked the dogs up they seemed calm and not at all stressed. I trust Nathalie with my babies - she and her family are just wonderful.”
“Corinne was so kind and loving with my dogs! She treated them with such care . I am so thankful for her. She sent updates with pictures which made me feel so at ease, knowing they were in excellent care with her. My dogs were happy there and so well taken care of! Would 1000% ask her to watch my dogs again. Thank you!!!”

About: I’ve had pets since I was a young girl. There was always a dog and cats in the house, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I recently lost my dog to old age, and I really miss that daily companionship, which is why I’d love to help care for other people’s pets. I’ve pet sat for friends, family, and neighbors over the years, and now I’m ready to open that up to more families. I’m comfortable with both dogs and cats, and I have two cats of my own. I’m patient, attentive, and I treat every pet like they’re my own—making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m reliable and easy to communicate with, and I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I’m home most of the day, so I have a flexible schedule and can give your pet plenty of attention and care. I do have two kids, so with a little advance notice I’m happy to plan ahead and make sure I’m fully available for your pet’s needs. I’m an active person and enjoy going on walks, so dogs will get plenty of movement and time outside. I’m available for drop-ins, walks, and sitting during the week and weekends, and I can adjust to your pet’s routine to keep things consistent and stress-free. I have a fenced backyard, and pets are always supervised when they’re outside. Most of the day they’ll be with me, so they’re not left alone for long. I handle all feeding, walks, and care myself to keep things consistent and done right. I have two cats that are indoor and outdoor. They’re friendly and used to being around other animals, but they mostly keep to themselves and won’t bother your pet. My home is calm, clean, and safe. My kids are gentle and love animals, and I always make sure interactions are respectful and supervised. I treat every pet like my own and do my best to make them feel comfortable and at home while you’re away.

“Finn loves to stay with Marybeth and Russ. They provide a loving, safe home with a wonderful, enclosed backyard. In addition, Finn gets regular walks and lots of loving. When he gets out of the car at their house, he can't wait to get inside to see them; this is always a great sign of good care.”

“Lisa was a perfect match for our little Mia! We highly recommend Lisa to anyone that needs to leave their fur baby in the best of hands! This was the first time we have had to leave Mia with someone that we really didn’t know well as well as using the Rover app. After our very first meet and greet it honestly felt like a huge weight was lifted. I wasn’t as nervous about leaving her. Lisa sent regular updates and it was obvious when we came home to get Mia that she was well cared for and had enjoyed her. It was very obvious Mia had made herself at home. Thank you Lisa, we will definitely be calling on you again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Venice
Ray and his son were great with our dog! She made herself right at home and they were very welcoming, offering her treats and a bone right away, which made her very happy and not at all sad to see us leave. I appreciated the texts and pictures Ray sent us throughout the stay. Ray was quick and easy to communicate with. I would use Ray again for watching our Arya!

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
98% of Venice sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Venice landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Venice home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Venice.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Venice sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
