Christine was awesome with our dog, Kenji. I booked her a bit last minute and she was so accommodating with stopping by for a meet and greet preset quickly. She came and walked her and played with our cat while Kenji ate her food. Highly recommend her.😊

Betty took great care of our dog Henry! Very professional and communicative when we talked. She was proactive about checking if Henry was comfortable walking in the rain, clearly thinking of his best interests. We’d definitely book again!

About: Hey! I’m Yokra but I go by Shira :) 🐾 I’ve always loved animals and have 7 years of experience caring for my own dogs, including two Chihuahuas and a Goldendoodle. I’m caring, responsible, and love giving pets plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and cuddles. I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pets with someone you trust, and I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own. I’m excited to meet you and your furry family! 🤍 I work part-time from home, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet the attention, care, and companionship they need. I’d love to spend my free time caring for animals and making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for just like they would at home. I keep up with their feeding, walks, bathroom breaks, playtime, and any routines their owners provide. I also make sure they get plenty of attention and love, while keeping their environment clean and safe. I have two Chihuahuas and a Goldendoodle of my own, so I understand how important it is to treat every pet with patience, care, and lots of love. ❤️

About: I have a special gift for earning the trust of shy, anxious, and hard-to-win-over cats—it's why many people call me a cat whisperer.. here's a little about me.... I'm a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I currently share my home with four cats and have spent my entire life around animals. Many people call me a "cat whisperer" because I have a special ability to connect with shy, fearful, and independent cats. I love helping nervous pets feel safe and comfortable, and I've seen many reserved or unfriendly cats become affectionate and trusting with patience and understanding. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, pet sitting, and overnight care. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a calm and quiet approach, I tailor my care to their individual needs. I understand that every animal has a unique personality and deserves to be treated with kindness, respect, and love. My goal is to give pet parents peace of mind while providing dependable care, companionship, exercise, and plenty of attention. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to make them feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I currently work part-time as a caregiver for the elderly and take care of animals in my spare time. Most of the clients I work with have pets which I tend to as well. I am around animals pretty much around the clock and absolutely love it. ❤️ When I'm working with clients, I give as much attention to their pets as I do to them. I am a highly sought-after caregiver due to my attentiveness to their animals and the love and care I give them. I treat each and every one as if they were my own pet. I pay attention to their individual needs and wants.

About: I’m that person who greets the dog before the human. 🐾 Whether it’s working on puppy manners, giving extra care to seniors, or long walks for high-energy pups, I tailor every visit to their personality. My goal is simple — happy, tired, and loved dogs (and totally stress-free owners). I'm currently working part-time, so I have a very flexible schedule to meet your and your pet's needs! Taking care of animals fits easily into my week; it’s something I truly enjoy doing, not just a task to check off. I look forward to my walks, feedings, and hangouts with each pet like they’re my own. I am very detail-oriented and excel in organization so whatever uncommon requests you have, count on me to follow them! Patience is a strong suit, as well as caution, to ensure your pet's safety is my number one priority.

About: My biggest passion has always been caring for animals. Along with having my own dogs my whole life I have been dog sitting and walking for the past 2 years. I also have 2 years of experience as a dog groomer along with 6+ years of experience caring for horses, cats, goats, and chickens. I am currently in school to become a radiologist tech and it is very easy for me to schedule pet care around my classes since they are only on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. I am available for walks or drop ins during the week and weekend. I am also available Friday-Monday to housesit. Together my clients and I establish a plan for their pet’s care based off of their needs, interests and abilities. I strive to build a trusting bond with every pet, and to ensure that they receive the highest level of care.

About: I’ve been a dog owner of Cairns and Westies. We have a two year old German Shepherd. I just love the companionship of dogs. Love helping seniors with walking dogs or housesitting their pets for their trips away from home. I have recently moved from Colorado to Venice. I love walking dogs and caring for them. Weekend and overnight care is also available with some notice. As an owner of a German Shepherd I’m fully aware how difficult it can be to kennel your bff (pet). I love caring for pets as if they are my own. Give me a call and allow me the opportunity to take care of your pet dog. I will walk and feed your dog (s). Stay with them and play, pet and cuddle to ease any anxiety they may have in your absence.

About: I grew up around animals and have always loved them. I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for years and have experience with pets of all different personalities and needs. I’ve also fostered dogs through my local humane society, which has given me experience helping nervous or shy dogs feel comfortable, giving medications when needed, and getting to know what makes each pet feel safe and happy. I currently work from home, so I have a lot of flexibility and am able to spend plenty of time with your pets. I’m available for house sitting, dog walking, drop-in visits, and giving your pets some extra attention while you’re away. I love going on walks, playing, cuddling, or just hanging out with pets. I’m happy to follow their normal routine and make sure they get the kind of care they’re used to. I know it can be hard to leave your pets with someone else, so I’ll always do my best to make the experience as easy as possible for both you and your pet. I’m very communicative and will send lots of pictures and updates while you’re away. My goal is for you to feel comfortable knowing your pet is being well taken care of, getting lots of love, and having a good time while you’re gone. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own (and definitely spoil them a little, too!) 🐾 Pet care is naturally a part of my everyday life! Since I currently work from home, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day and have a flexible schedule for walks and visits. I’m very active and love getting outside, so I’m always happy to go on walks, play, or just spend some time keeping your pet company. I’m also more than happy to follow their usual routine, whether that means a long walk, some playtime, lots of cuddles, or simply having someone around. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and will make sure your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and loved while you’re away. I believe every pet deserves to be treated with love, respect, and patience. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs so I can provide care that’s tailored specifically to them. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, my goal is to keep them happy, comfortable, and stress-free while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can feel confident knowing your pet is in caring hands.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of every kind since I was 15. I have also volunteered in animal shelters when I was younger. Before Rover, I was on the site Doggy Vay Cay serving many clients. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. I had a family dog, which passed away 3 years ago along with my cat passing away years ago, therefore I love being around animals I will have plenty of time to play with your fur babies. I will play tug of war, give them treats if need be, and run around with them. At this time, I will not be taking care of pets in my own home, but hopefully in the future, I will. I treat animals with respect, as if they were my own loving one.

  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
