I’ve been around animals my entire life. I grew up with cats, and after college I helped raise and care for two Golden Retrievers and a Golden Retriever puppy, giving me six years of hands-on experience with dogs through every stage of life from puppyhood through their senior years. Two of my dogs battled cancer, which gave me significant experience caring for pets with more complex needs, including medication management, monitoring changes in behavior and comfort, and providing the extra patience and attention an ailing or senior pet may require. I also cared for one of my dogs through leg surgery, including both pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery and activity restrictions. Because of those experiences, I’m especially comfortable caring for puppies, senior dogs, and pets who need medications or a little extra attention. I understand how stressful it can be to leave a pet with someone else, especially when they have additional care needs, so I’m attentive to each owner’s instructions and their pet’s normal routine. I’ll treat your pets with the same care and affection I’ve given my own and am happy to provide plenty of photos and updates while you’re away.
