“Taylor did very well with Teddy. He is a little skittish, but she was able to get him to trust her. I will use Taylor again when I have the opportunity to go out to dinner or to a ball game. She was very attentive to the dog and played with him to make him feel more comfortable.”

About: I truly believe every pet deserves patience, love, and full attention—especially when their humans are away. What sets me apart is the care I put into making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved at all times. I take the time to understand each pet’s unique personality and needs. Whether it’s extra cuddles, longer walks, or fun playtime, I make sure they’re getting not just the basics, but real companionship. I’m calm, reliable, and never in a rush—I give pets the time and energy they deserve. Your pet won’t just be looked after—they’ll be genuinely cared for. I work part-time and remotely from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to focus on pet care. Since I’m home most of the day, I’m able to give pets the attention they need—whether that’s regular walks, playtime, feeding, or just being there to keep them company. My lifestyle allows me to stick to their routines and provide consistent, reliable care without rushing. Pets aren’t just a side task in my day—they’re a priority. At my home, your pet will be treated like family. I have two sweet and friendly cats who love the company of other animals and are happy to play or simply share their space. I provide a calm, cozy environment where your pet can feel safe and loved. If you prefer care in your own home, I’m happy to come to you and follow your pet’s usual routine. I’ll make sure they’re fed, walked, played with, and given plenty of attention—whatever they need to feel happy and relaxed while you’re away.
“Worked good with my schedule being midnights. Made sure she went potty and checked her food before she left for the night. Took pictures of the walk. Very easy to coordinate with Carolina”

“Jewels was wonderful. She did a meet and greet prior to the actual dog walking appointment. That really impressed me. She also faced numerous challenges with my condo complex and access. But she overcame them with no problems. She also kept me informed about everything with my dog. Cant say enough good about her. I highly recommend Jewel.”

About: I have worked as an office coordinator in a veterinary clinic when I was younger and have always had a extreme LOVE for animals. We have always had pets in our family and would love to show some love to yours, while bringing you peace of mind. I am not currently working, so very flexible when it comes to schedules. I can do a last minute pop in, if need be. Happy to help out in what ever manner you might need. We live in a townhouse, so if your fur baby is here, I will have them on a leash at all times. I love walking, so if they need lots of excersize, that is what I would do with them. We do have a dog and a cat in our home.
About: I’m a counselor during the school year and have side jobs to supplement my income. Kids and animals love me as I love them even more! ;) For the pets that I fall in love with, I will maintain those services. I have a therapy dog that works along side me. I’ve given medicine, bathe, love on them and will be their fill in mommy/daddy until you return. ;) I’m also open to discussing the costs. ***Currently I don’t have any pets of my own so I have a lot of flexibility. The therapy dog is a volunteer. I have a lot of flexibility as this is my only job at the moment. I am off during the summers so I enjoy working with animals. During the school year I’m a school counselor. I have flexibility with the job as I’m able to leave for a lunch break/check on your pup. Also, my counselor hours are 8:15-3:30. I am in early and off early to be able to check on your animals. *** I will be in town for the holidays :) I feed them, provide love, walks, and play with them. I am happy to have your kennel here for them if it helps them feel more comfortable. That is not a requirement though. I prefer going to your home only because the animals tend to do better in their own house.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
