“Wonderful walker who was chill around my energetic Golden and was able to manage his excitement. Carolina took great pics of Captain and really captured who he is on his walks, happy with a stick and running joyful. That let me know he enjoyed his time with Carolina and was comfortable with her — we will be rebooking!”

“Nevaeh was great. Extremely reliable and consistent. She helped us for a week for morning and afternoon dog walking/feeding. She has a positive personality and our dog responded very well to her. Highly recommend!”

“Tayler did a wonderful job taking care of my fur baby Denali. They're very knowledgeable on pet care, followed my instructions, and went the extra mile. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of and watched dogs of all ages and sizes. I have trained and raised my own dog of 13 years. I have always loved animals, especially dogs! I am currently working full time but I am available most late afternoons and evenings, including the weekend! I am very trustworthy and have excellent time management skills. Communication in advance is key and I respond quickly to messages. My service will focus mostly on walking your dogs since the condo I live in doesn’t allow me to board pets with me, unfortunately. But I look forward to meeting and caring for your dogs on their daily walks!

“Ashton was so nice and patient with my dog, he is very anxious and not always the friendliest but she did a great job with Apollo, and Apollo seemed to also be very confortable around her, we will continue to use her services as we were very pleased!!!😄”

“Jewell was absolutely amazing with my dogs! 🐾 She cared for them like they were her own and kept me updated the whole time. My pups were happy, calm, and clearly adored her. I highly recommend Jewell to anyone looking for a loving, reliable pet sitter!”

About: I'm the go-to pet sitter for friends and family, a shelter foster volunteer, and a proud cat mom to a very opinionated Siamese named Mimi. I've fostered four puppies with medical needs, so I'm comfortable with extra care, medication routines, and lots of patience. Whether your pet is a zoomie-powered puppy, a senior looking for a comfy nap spot, or a cat who demands attention on their own terms, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. Plenty of cuddles, playtime, photo updates, and treats (if approved by their humans!) included. I graduated from Vanderbilt for my master degree in May 2025, and moved to Sarasota in Sep 2025. I work fully remote in Healthcare so I will be at home all the time. I can do after 6PM for drop in visit on weekdays and all day on weekends:) Me and my partner live in a large 2b2b apartment, along with our cat Mimi. We only do cat boarding and one cat at a time:)
“Emma is wonderful! She took great care of our dog while we were out of town. She’s punctual and responsive! While we were gone our dog had a little accident and she cleaned it up for us and made sure there was not a stain left on our new rug! We would definitely recommend Emma and plan to use her services again!”

About: I’ve spent the last 15+ years caring for dogs — from my own family pets to friends’ and neighbors’ pups. Over the years, I’ve helped care for dogs of all ages and personalities, from playful puppies to gentle seniors. When my family got a puppy five years ago, I helped with basic training and routines, so I understand the patience and consistency that takes. I’ve also cared for older dogs who needed a little extra attention, including giving medications and making sure they stayed comfortable and happy. I genuinely love spending time with dogs and treat every one like my own. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit, or just some extra love and playtime, I make sure each dog feels safe, cared for, and loved. I work from home as a graphic designer, which gives me a really flexible schedule. I love taking breaks throughout the day to get outside, enjoy some sunshine, and go for walks — and having a dog along makes it even better! It’s the perfect balance of work and fresh air, and I always make sure each walk or visit fits smoothly into my routine so your pup gets my full attention. When I’m visiting a client’s home, I always make sure pets feel comfortable and cared for in their own familiar space. I take time to follow each pet’s usual routine — from feeding and walks to playtime and cuddles — so they feel secure and loved while you’re away. At home, I have a fenced yard and a safe, pet-friendly environment, which means visiting pups can enjoy fresh air and playtime when needed. My priority is always safety, consistency, and making sure every dog feels happy and relaxed.

“Chloe did an awesome job with our pup! Our dog gets scared when new people are around and Chloe stayed with her past the required time to calm her down and make sure she was able to go out. She allowed us to enjoy our time away and not work. 5 Stars!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Fruitville
Jason is spectacular— we have a big Lab and he wasn’t at all intimidated, took him and my rescue girl on great long walks right when we asked him too, did swimming with our lab and handled our mini bernadoodle very well. I would book him again for any of our needs.

By far, Penelope’s favorite! Kim was very sweet and communicative, sent me pictures the entire time. It is clear that she really values what she does and goes the extra mile to make sure the pup is happy and the owner has peace of mind. I will continue to book Kim every chance I get!

Alexi watched my dog over a long weekend. One visit Friday, 3 visits Saturday and, 2 visits Sunday. My dog loved her. She was very responsive and sent lots of pictures. On Sunday, there was a rain storm, and my dog was too scared to go outside. She stayed extra time trying to comfort him and coax him to go outside for a bathroom break. She was competent and went above beyond. I definitely recommend her!

Abigail did a great job communicating with us in a timely manner and was attentive to our dog's needs and making sure he was happy while we were out of town with walks around the neighborhood and ensuring his food and water were tended to. Will definitely use her again!

She was absolutely amazing with my girl! She went on a nice walk, played with her, and showed so much patience—especially in the beginning when my pup was scared and nervous. She was super professional, kind, and truly caring. I would trust her with any dog. Highly recommend Camilia!

Abbey was awesome! She came to my house (last minute!) for a meet and greet, so my dogs can meet her the night before I had booked her to walk them. She was so sweet interacting with the dogs and I’ve immediately felt very comfortable with her. She walked my two goldendoodles two times (on a far walk) and sent several photos and updates! I will definitely be using her again!

Carolina is awesome!! This was my first time using rover and she made it super simple and comfortable! She came to meet our dog first and was always timely and even cleaned up after our dog when she had an accident. She is super sweet and will be working with her again in the future!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
