“Sofia is fantastic to work with. She was very flexible when I arranged an initial meeting with her and she was very prompt. She was also very sweet with my dog. I look forward to working with her in the future.”

“Nevaeh was great. Extremely reliable and consistent. She helped us for a week for morning and afternoon dog walking/feeding. She has a positive personality and our dog responded very well to her. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve spent the last 15+ years caring for dogs — from my own family pets to friends’ and neighbors’ pups. Over the years, I’ve helped care for dogs of all ages and personalities, from playful puppies to gentle seniors. When my family got a puppy five years ago, I helped with basic training and routines, so I understand the patience and consistency that takes. I’ve also cared for older dogs who needed a little extra attention, including giving medications and making sure they stayed comfortable and happy. I genuinely love spending time with dogs and treat every one like my own. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit, or just some extra love and playtime, I make sure each dog feels safe, cared for, and loved. I work from home as a graphic designer, which gives me a really flexible schedule. I love taking breaks throughout the day to get outside, enjoy some sunshine, and go for walks — and having a dog along makes it even better! It’s the perfect balance of work and fresh air, and I always make sure each walk or visit fits smoothly into my routine so your pup gets my full attention. When I’m visiting a client’s home, I always make sure pets feel comfortable and cared for in their own familiar space. I take time to follow each pet’s usual routine — from feeding and walks to playtime and cuddles — so they feel secure and loved while you’re away. At home, I have a fenced yard and a safe, pet-friendly environment, which means visiting pups can enjoy fresh air and playtime when needed. My priority is always safety, consistency, and making sure every dog feels happy and relaxed.

“Ashton was so nice and patient with my dog, he is very anxious and not always the friendliest but she did a great job with Apollo, and Apollo seemed to also be very confortable around her, we will continue to use her services as we were very pleased!!!😄”

About: Animals have been the center of my world for as long as I can remember. Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, and bunnies, caretaking has always been second nature to me. As a former teacher, I am now leaning fully into my true passion, and bringing comfort and happiness to pets gives me so much genuine joy. Whether your family member is a high-energy pup, an independent cat, or a gentle senior who needs a patient touch and daily medication, I treat them with the exact same structure, love, and respect I would give my own. I can't wait to keep your furry best friends safe, happy, and thoroughly spoiled while you're away! Because my other part-time commitments total only 6 hours a week, my schedule is incredibly flexible, leaving me with plenty of open time to focus entirely on caring for your pets! Here is exactly when I am briefly away each week: Weekday Evenings (2 total): At a gym, I coach a few adult workout classes in the evenings. Sunday Mornings: I teach Sunday school to preschoolers for a brief session. Outside of these short windows, my days are completely open. This minimal schedule allows me to offer highly attentive, consistent care, adapt easily to your pet's normal routine, and provide plenty of companionship throughout the day! Whether welcoming a pet into my home or staying at yours, safety and clear structure are my top priorities. My home is a pet loving environment shared with my friendly dog and two cats. To ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable, I utilize sturdy pet gates to easily separate animals for quiet time or feeding, and I am more than happy to accommodate crating upon request. Because my part-time jobs take up only 6 hours a week, pets in my care receive constant supervision and a highly consistent routine. As a former educator, I am meticulous about following your exact instructions, maintaining strict safety boundaries, and keeping you updated with photos so you can relax knowing your furry family members are safe, respected, and thoroughly loved.

About: I'm the go-to pet sitter for friends and family, a shelter foster volunteer, and a proud cat mom to a very opinionated Siamese named Mimi. I've fostered four puppies with medical needs, so I'm comfortable with extra care, medication routines, and lots of patience. Whether your pet is a zoomie-powered puppy, a senior looking for a comfy nap spot, or a cat who demands attention on their own terms, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. Plenty of cuddles, playtime, photo updates, and treats (if approved by their humans!) included. I graduated from Vanderbilt for my master degree in May 2025, I work fully remote for a PE company so I will be at home all the time. My partner & I moved to Sarasota because of his job changes. We have a cute cat named Mimi. We are a new happy family. Me and my partner live in a large 2b2b apartment, along with our cat Mimi. We have a large dog park in the community with good privacy and safety. We live very close to water and trails. I’d also love to make sure they have enough exercise and water & food.

About: Hi there, I'm Antoinette, a devoted pet lover with 15 years of professional pet-sitting experience. I know firsthand how much your dog means to you. My own little Rusty was adopted from the SPCA in 2010 and was my best friend for 14 wonderful years before he passed away on June 7th, 2024. This experience has only deepened my commitment. I will always care for your pup with the same love, attention, and dedication I gave my own fur baby. I also believe pet care should be affordable and reasonable, not astronomical. I am blessed to be able to work-from-home and will be here all day to stay and play with your pup and provide supervision inside and outside. To help me make your pet as happy and safe as possible, could you tell me a little bit about their routine? How often do they eat each day? Do they need any medications or have any existing health concerns? Are there any allergies I should be aware of? What's their personality like? Are there any quirks or behavioral issues I should know about? Where do they usually sleep at night? And finally, anything else that will help me keep them safe, comfortable, and entertained! Your pet's safety and happiness are my highest priority. Please let me know if there are any specific accommodations or requests I can fulfill to ensure their in-home stay is as comfortable as possible.

“Emma is wonderful! She took great care of our dog while we were out of town. She’s punctual and responsive! While we were gone our dog had a little accident and she cleaned it up for us and made sure there was not a stain left on our new rug! We would definitely recommend Emma and plan to use her services again!”

“Worked good with my schedule being midnights. Made sure she went potty and checked her food before she left for the night. Took pictures of the walk. Very easy to coordinate with Carolina”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my ability to adapt to each pet’s unique needs, follow care instructions closely, and create a calm, comforting environment. I’m especially good at earning the trust of shy pets, like my own cat. I balance pet care with my school schedule by planning ahead—feeding, walking, and playing with pets before or after classes. About: 25 years of paws-on experience: Keeping your cats cozy and your dogs active—just like my own energetic Brittany! I've worked with puppies, as well as senior dogs, and love them all! Whether you need a daily power-walk or a weekend cuddler, I’ve got you covered. I currently work from home and spent time actively outdoors daily with my pup! We take morning, noon, and evening walks. Your dog can join my energetic Brittany Spaniel for a fun, socialized neighborhood adventure—great for 'social butterflies' who love to play as they walk. If your pup prefers a slower pace or one-on-one attention, I offer dedicated solo walks to ensure they get my undivided focus and care. When you hand over the leash or the keys to your home, you need absolute peace of mind. My 25 years of experience means I don't just love animals—I know how to keep them safe. From managing the unpredictable energy of puppies to ensuring a secure, stress-free environment for seniors and cats, I treat your pet's well-being as my ultimate responsibility. I don't currently have a yard, so spend a lot of time interacting with my babies outside on a leash or at my neighborhood dog parks with pups I know and trust.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Fruitville
Jason is spectacular— we have a big Lab and he wasn’t at all intimidated, took him and my rescue girl on great long walks right when we asked him too, did swimming with our lab and handled our mini bernadoodle very well. I would book him again for any of our needs.

By far, Penelope’s favorite! Kim was very sweet and communicative, sent me pictures the entire time. It is clear that she really values what she does and goes the extra mile to make sure the pup is happy and the owner has peace of mind. I will continue to book Kim every chance I get!

Alexi watched my dog over a long weekend. One visit Friday, 3 visits Saturday and, 2 visits Sunday. My dog loved her. She was very responsive and sent lots of pictures. On Sunday, there was a rain storm, and my dog was too scared to go outside. She stayed extra time trying to comfort him and coax him to go outside for a bathroom break. She was competent and went above beyond. I definitely recommend her!

Abigail did a great job communicating with us in a timely manner and was attentive to our dog's needs and making sure he was happy while we were out of town with walks around the neighborhood and ensuring his food and water were tended to. Will definitely use her again!

She was absolutely amazing with my girl! She went on a nice walk, played with her, and showed so much patience—especially in the beginning when my pup was scared and nervous. She was super professional, kind, and truly caring. I would trust her with any dog. Highly recommend Camilia!

Abbey was awesome! She came to my house (last minute!) for a meet and greet, so my dogs can meet her the night before I had booked her to walk them. She was so sweet interacting with the dogs and I’ve immediately felt very comfortable with her. She walked my two goldendoodles two times (on a far walk) and sent several photos and updates! I will definitely be using her again!

Carolina is awesome!! This was my first time using rover and she made it super simple and comfortable! She came to meet our dog first and was always timely and even cleaned up after our dog when she had an accident. She is super sweet and will be working with her again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
