“Taylor did very well with Teddy. He is a little skittish, but she was able to get him to trust her. I will use Taylor again when I have the opportunity to go out to dinner or to a ball game. She was very attentive to the dog and played with him to make him feel more comfortable.”

About: I’ve taken care of and watched dogs of all ages and sizes. I have trained and raised my own dog of 13 years. I have always loved animals, especially dogs! I am currently working full time but I am available most late afternoons and evenings, including the weekend! I am very trustworthy and have excellent time management skills. Communication in advance is key and I respond quickly to messages. My service will focus mostly on walking your dogs since the condo I live in doesn’t allow me to board pets with me, unfortunately. But I look forward to meeting and caring for your dogs on their daily walks!
“Jewels was wonderful. She did a meet and greet prior to the actual dog walking appointment. That really impressed me. She also faced numerous challenges with my condo complex and access. But she overcame them with no problems. She also kept me informed about everything with my dog. Cant say enough good about her. I highly recommend Jewel.”

“Nevaeh was great. Extremely reliable and consistent. She helped us for a week for morning and afternoon dog walking/feeding. She has a positive personality and our dog responded very well to her. Highly recommend!”

I have dogs of my own and need to come to your home to take care of your pets. My older dog is hit or miss getting along with other dogs so I will not be able to have your pets at my house.

About: I've owned a variety of dogs of every breed and size, (Gr8Danes, pekingese, doodles, terriers, the list goes on) all from a very young age. I've had puppies, to special needs seniors... All of whom have different skills sets required for their care. Im currently a stay at home Mom. One of my children is a 2 time cancer survivor and requires a flexible schedule due to her weakened immunity. My schedule is pretty packed as a busy mom before and after school... but my availability during the day and on weekends is usually fairly open for visits, walks, cuddles or any type of care. I'm more than able to follow any schedules you may want to follow. Including eating/medication times as I know and respect how sensitive some animals are.
“Emma is wonderful! She took great care of our dog while we were out of town. She’s punctual and responsive! While we were gone our dog had a little accident and she cleaned it up for us and made sure there was not a stain left on our new rug! We would definitely recommend Emma and plan to use her services again!”

About: Taken care of many cats and dogs! I have worked in pet boarding resorts! As long as your friendly pooch and I get along well, I will gladly care for your dog as schedule allows! Aggressive pets will be taken on case by case basis if I’ll be able to safely handle. When caring for pets in other people’s homes, I make sure to follow all routines and instructions closely, from feeding schedules to specific care needs. About: I’ve spent the last 15+ years caring for dogs — from my own family pets to friends’ and neighbors’ pups. Over the years, I’ve helped care for dogs of all ages and personalities, from playful puppies to gentle seniors. When my family got a puppy five years ago, I helped with basic training and routines, so I understand the patience and consistency that takes. I’ve also cared for older dogs who needed a little extra attention, including giving medications and making sure they stayed comfortable and happy. I genuinely love spending time with dogs and treat every one like my own. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit, or just some extra love and playtime, I make sure each dog feels safe, cared for, and loved. I work from home as a graphic designer, which gives me a really flexible schedule. I love taking breaks throughout the day to get outside, enjoy some sunshine, and go for walks — and having a dog along makes it even better! It’s the perfect balance of work and fresh air, and I always make sure each walk or visit fits smoothly into my routine so your pup gets my full attention. When I’m visiting a client’s home, I always make sure pets feel comfortable and cared for in their own familiar space. I take time to follow each pet’s usual routine — from feeding and walks to playtime and cuddles — so they feel secure and loved while you’re away. At home, I have a fenced yard and a safe, pet-friendly environment, which means visiting pups can enjoy fresh air and playtime when needed. My priority is always safety, consistency, and making sure every dog feels happy and relaxed.

By far, Penelope’s favorite! Kim was very sweet and communicative, sent me pictures the entire time. It is clear that she really values what she does and goes the extra mile to make sure the pup is happy and the owner has peace of mind. I will continue to book Kim every chance I get!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
