My name is Alaska (Angelina) Barnard, and I provide affordable, quality care for your furry friends! As a former Animal League volunteer, my day job is non-profit HR - but my true passion is working with animals. My goal is to offer professional, personalized care to your pets in the comfort of their own home. Meal prep, walks, medication, play time, and general care are included; and of course, I will always text/email you photos of your pet if requested. :) I have experience with large dogs, elderly dogs, food aggression, social anxiety, and abused pets - whatever the situation, everyone’s needs will be met. (Theirs AND yours.) Please feel free to let me know during our initial consultation what I can do to make you and your fur friends more comfortable. :) Thank you for considering me! Former animal rescue volunteer, previous dog-sitting, breed-specific training. Why I love dog sitting I've loved dogs since I was a little girl! When I was growing up, my grandmother and extended family took in rescue pets; so I learned to love and appreciate animals from a young age!

Angelina was so great with our puppy, this was our first time using rover and she was wonderful and sent us lots of pictures 😊
Bella and Yogi both had a great time! Angelina had them in high spirits while I was away and active. And with her coming to me, it made it better on my pups with them being home instead of somewhere new. They were in great hands! Great communication while away. It was great to have a quick response for such short notice trip.
Angi has been attentive and courteous to my 3 dogs (beagle Fara, 4 years old. boxer Stella, 5 years old. beagle Dolce, 1 year.) Dolce isn't house trained so I wasnt sure what to expect when I came home but Angi was so diligent that there wasnt a single accident. And the service was affordable on top of that!
I came across Angi through word of mouth and asked her to take care of my two Jack Russells while I was on vacation this past christmas. One of them is diabetic and the other isn't house trained so I was worried about leaving them. but she was so attentive and asked questions to make sure she had my instructions right. She called me up with other questions along the way to make sure she was doing everything right and my dogs were so well taken care of when i returned! No issues to come back to which is a first in my experience with petsitters. I was very impressed and will certainly hire her again
Angelina was truly one of our most valuable volunteers. I served as president of The Gulfshore Animal League when she first joined our team and I am so glad she did....she is always willing to go the extra mile and was dedicated to the animals we rescued. On time every time. Reliable. Very friendly and kind to our donors and patrons. I would highly recommend her to anyone!!

Schedule
I work 9am-5pm, hybrid remote. :) Non-profit HR is my field, but I have quite a bit of free time out of office when I decide to take it.

I will reach out for an initial visit/consultation in your home or in a public place so that you can get to know me, ask me questions about myself and my experience, and develop a rapport that you can feel good about. My goal is to put your mind at ease, whatever that looks like for you.

A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog As much time as I can. :) Dogs require constant social interaction - I'll be with them as often as possible. Extra house-sitting services I'm willing to do general house-sitting, in addition to caring for your pets. Just let me know what you'd like.
