Hi, I’m Nick. I provide structured, dependable pet care built around routine, supervision, and clear communication. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of breeds and personalities, from working dogs like Brittanys and English Labs to rare breeds like the Swedish Vallhound, as well as rescued strays and foster animals. I adjust care based on temperament, energy level, and age, ensuring each pet feels secure and engaged. This range of experience has taught me how to read behavior, manage different energy levels, and maintain a stable environment for dogs that thrive on structure as well as those who simply need consistency and patience. My goal is simple: treat every pet like family and give owners peace of mind knowing their companions are in good hands. Oh and lots of pictures :)

Nicholas did a great job taking care of my senior pup! Will definitely use again.
Nicholas is our new favorite sitter! His relaxing easy going personality is a perfect fit for our two pups. I tell them on the way there that they are going to spend the day AT THE GREAT BIG YARD! So much room for activities! So many sniffs and smells and sights and yard to check out. Then, especially since it's summer, plenty of snoozing on the couch or cool tiles. Nicholas has been agreeable with some time changes and is super responsive when I have a question. We're new to Rover and will likely not look any further for a sitter now that we've found Nicholas and The Great Big Yard! Thank you, Nicholas!
Daily photo updates of my happy girl, and super responsive communication in general, made my trip much more pleasant and carefree.
Nicholas was really responsive, helpful, and sent lots of pics. I know my pup was well taken care of and would definitely use him again!

I keep dogs happy with a mix of play, walks, and focused attention. Mornings start with outside time in a fenced in yard or a leashed walk if needed. Throughout the day I rotate between walks, play, and relaxed indoor time. Dogs enjoy sniff walks, yard time, toys, or simple games depending on what they naturally enjoy.
