About: Hello - I'm Mikayla! I grew up owning a very sweet kitty in grade school and have loved working around animals my whole life. I've worked in overnight boarding facilities and have taken care of friends and families pets from time to time - including morning or evening meals and oral medications. Quick or long walks, big or small, shy or fun personalities of all kinds I love working with all types of pets. I have a pretty open schedule and can be at a beck and call on short notice. Please give a 1-2 hr curtesy call for cancellations. Thank you! If its as simple as letting them out in the back yard or going on an hour marathon just let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate your furry friend.
“Abbey was awesome! She came to my house (last minute!) for a meet and greet, so my dogs can meet her the night before I had booked her to walk them. She was so sweet interacting with the dogs and I’ve immediately felt very comfortable with her. She walked my two goldendoodles two times (on a far walk) and sent several photos and updates! I will definitely be using her again!”

“Nevaeh was great. Extremely reliable and consistent. She helped us for a week for morning and afternoon dog walking/feeding. She has a positive personality and our dog responded very well to her. Highly recommend!”

About: 25 years of paws-on experience: Keeping your cats cozy and your dogs active—just like my own energetic Brittany! I've worked with puppies, as well as senior dogs, and love them all! Whether you need a daily power-walk or a weekend cuddler, I’ve got you covered. I currently work from home and spent time actively outdoors daily with my pup! We take morning, noon, and evening walks. Your dog can join my energetic Brittany Spaniel for a fun, socialized neighborhood adventure—great for 'social butterflies' who love to play as they walk. If your pup prefers a slower pace or one-on-one attention, I offer dedicated solo walks to ensure they get my undivided focus and care. When you hand over the leash or the keys to your home, you need absolute peace of mind. My 25 years of experience means I don't just love animals—I know how to keep them safe. From managing the unpredictable energy of puppies to ensuring a secure, stress-free environment for seniors and cats, I treat your pet's well-being as my ultimate responsibility. I don't currently have a yard, so spend a lot of time interacting with my babies outside on a leash or at my neighborhood dog parks with pups I know and trust.
About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience and genuine love for dogs. I’ve raised my own dog since she was 2 months old until she was 12.5 and crossed the rainbow bridge in May of 2026. So I understand every stage from puppy energy to senior comfort. I also grew up with family dogs and have even helped two dogs deliver puppies, giving me hands-on experience with newborns, mama dogs, and special care needs. I’m patient, gentle, and very attentive to each dog’s personality and routine. As a bilingual toddler mom with a naturally nurturing style, I make sure every dog feels safe, loved, and cared for like family. Your pet will get kindness, consistency, and the same level of attention I give my own. Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine. I’m a full-time single mom, and my son absolutely adores animals—we spend a lot of time outdoors, going for walks, playing, and staying active. Adding your dog to our routine is easy and enjoyable for us. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’m already in a rhythm that allows your pet to get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection throughout the day. In my home, pets follow a loving and consistent routine. I provide food twice a day (or according to your dog’s usual schedule), plenty of potty breaks, and a safe, cozy space to rest. There’s lots of playtime, outdoor time, and of course plenty of hugs and attention. I make sure every dog feels relaxed, cared for, and included as part of the family. If I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow your routine exactly—feeding times, walks, crate use, and any special instructions—so your pet feels comfortable and secure in their familiar environment.
“Joseph was able to cover lunchtime walks for my golden over the course of three months. He provided excellent care and consideration for my dogs needs. Joseph has excellent communication skills and we were able to work out a schedule weeks in advance. I can’t recommend Joseph enough!”
“This is our second booking with Alexi. She does a fantastic job and treats our dog like he is her own. She keeps us updated on how he is doing while we are away which is a relief. I highly recommend her.”

About: I'm the go-to pet sitter for friends and family, a shelter foster volunteer, and a proud cat mom to a very opinionated Siamese named Mimi. I've fostered four puppies with medical needs, so I'm comfortable with extra care, medication routines, and lots of patience. Whether your pet is a zoomie-powered puppy, a senior looking for a comfy nap spot, or a cat who demands attention on their own terms, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. Plenty of cuddles, playtime, photo updates, and treats (if approved by their humans!) included. I graduated from Vanderbilt for my master degree in May 2025, I work fully remote for a PE company so I will be at home all the time. My partner & I moved to Sarasota because of his job changes. We have a cute cat named Mimi. We are a new happy family. Me and my partner live in a large 2b2b apartment, along with our cat Mimi. We have a large dog park in the community with good privacy and safety. We live very close to water and trails. I’d also love to make sure they have enough exercise and water & food.
About: I've been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old and have experience with pets of all sizes and personalities. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their dogs. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to treat every pet with patience, love, and attention like they're my own. Pet care is already a part of my everyday routine! I have a miniature dachshund of my own, so every day is filled with feeding, walks, playtime, exercise, and lots of love and attention. Caring for animals is something I truly enjoy, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to make sure each pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or yours, I always follow their normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. I'll make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of exercise and playtime, bathroom breaks, and lots of love and attention. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away. My goal is to treat every pet like they're part of my own family.

About: I’ve spent my whole life around dogs, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. While I’ve raised puppies—like my sweet girl River, who I had from 8 weeks old to 3 years—I’ve grown to love the rhythm and bond that comes with dogs at every stage of life. What sets me apart is a deep sense of patience, attentiveness, and love that comes from years of hands-on experience. I’m especially comfortable with routines, emotional needs, and making sure your dog feels safe and cared for while you’re away. Whether your dog is energetic, mellow, senior, or somewhere in between, I show up with calm energy, genuine care, and a heart full of love for every pup I meet. I currently work remote so I have the flexibility to go on walks during the afternoon, evening, early morning or whenever they need to go out! I’m currently in an house with no other pets. I have plenty of room for them to hangout and feel safe. I’ll make sure they get lots of cuddles and walks.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lakewood Ranch
Jason is spectacular— we have a big Lab and he wasn’t at all intimidated, took him and my rescue girl on great long walks right when we asked him too, did swimming with our lab and handled our mini bernadoodle very well. I would book him again for any of our needs.

Alexi watched my dog over a long weekend. One visit Friday, 3 visits Saturday and, 2 visits Sunday. My dog loved her. She was very responsive and sent lots of pictures. On Sunday, there was a rain storm, and my dog was too scared to go outside. She stayed extra time trying to comfort him and coax him to go outside for a bathroom break. She was competent and went above beyond. I definitely recommend her!

Abigail did a great job communicating with us in a timely manner and was attentive to our dog's needs and making sure he was happy while we were out of town with walks around the neighborhood and ensuring his food and water were tended to. Will definitely use her again!

Abbey was awesome! I will definitely be using her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
