“cannot say enough good things about [Dog Sitter’s Name]. From the very beginning, communication was clear, prompt, and friendly, which instantly gave me peace of mind. [He/She/They] took the time to understand my dog’s routine, personality, and little quirks, and it really showed in the care provided. Throughout the stay, I received regular updates and photos, and it was obvious that my dog was happy, comfortable, and well-loved. When I came home, everything was spotless, and my pup was relaxed and content (a true sign of great care!). It’s not easy to trust someone with your furry family member, but Jewell exceeded all expectations. Reliable, caring, and professional — I would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who treats your dog like their own.”

“Jill was absolutely amazing!! We booked her to watch our pups during our wedding weekend and it was one thing we didn’t have to worry about the entire time. Jill provided updates and the best photos! She also took our energetic lab on walks no problem.”

“I have repeatedly used Daniella because my kitties are in very good care with her, I believe they look forward to seeing her and I love getting photos of them. If you’re looking for a sitter, you will be very pleased using Daniella.”

About: Ive been assisting in taking care of pets since I can remember. My family never went without having furry companions in the house but ive been helping care for them since i was six. Id help my parents bath, walk, and play with the dogs as well as it was my chore to clean up all the dog droppings in the backyard. I've also had to help in giving heartworm, flea, and tick medicine as well as any other specific meds when theyd get an infection or get sick. The best part of having dogs was that I always had a friend. Someone who loved me unconditionally, watched over me, and always showered me in slobbery tennis balls and wet kisses. I currently work full time and my hours are typically the same. I am normally away from home from 7am to 5pm but typically have Fridays and Saturdays and am available in the evenings. I have a larged fenced in back yard and I live near the water so we'll have awesome walks. I also live very close to multiple dog parks. I live with my daughter and husband and we are all dog lovers. My daughter will want to shower your furry friend with kisses and hugs and acceptable treats all the time and my husband has always had dogs his whole life just as myself. We currently dont have any pets right now.

“Gracie was amazing! She took great care of our two cats while we were away and sent me such cute pictures every day! I will definitely be using her again in the future!”

About: I am a retired law enforcement officer with a career spanning both local and federal agencies. During my time in local law enforcement, I had the incredible privilege of serving as a K9 officer. This wasn't just a job for me—it was a daily masterclass in dog behavior, high-level training, and deep companionship. Now that I’m retired, I miss the daily bond of working with dogs and want to dedicate my free time to keeping your furry family members safe, happy, and well-exercised. Why Choose Me? • Professional Handler Experience: My background as a K9 handler means I understand canine body language, pack dynamics, and training techniques better than most. Whether your dog is a high-energy working breed or a gentle couch potato, I know how to manage and care for them safely. • Safety & Trust First: With a lifetime of public service at the local and federal levels, you can rest assured that your home and your pets are in the most secure, reliable, and disciplined hands possible. • Active & Attentive: I am fully dedicated to giving your pet the structured exercise, mental stimulation, and affection they deserve while you are away. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! I am currently retired and looking to fill my day by helping others and their pets when they need a trustworthy, friendly person. Thank you. I am currently not caring for pets at my home. I am willing to watch them at your home if needed and our schedules work.

As a medical technician and nursing student, I’m used to structured schedules, time management, and consistent responsibilities. I intentionally plan my day to allow time for reliable drop-ins, walks, feedings, medication administration, and quality one-on-one attention. I truly believe animals deserve to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always prioritize clear communication and consistency.
About: I’ve taken care of multiple different pets for family, friends, neighbors and would love to help with yours too! I have been pet sitting since I was 14 and will treat your fur baby with all the love possible. I am very flexible and work around the dogs/owners needs and wants!
About: I have been around dogs all of my life. I recently lost my last fur baby and am not ready to replace her. I work full time, but am available for early morning, evening and weekend walks and care. I am available early morning (before 7.00) and evenings (after 6), and weekends. I am also available on most major holidays for walking or visiting. I am a responsible person. I will make sure your animals are safe, happy and not alone. I will leave your home neat and secure.
“Camryn, you really helped us out last second when our other plans fell through. We couldn't have asked for a sweeter person to go love on our Wilbur. Much much much appreciated!”

About: Taking care of animals isn’t just a job to me, it’s a hobby! Giving them the proper care they need brings me happiness everyday! I’ve had animals since I was 5 years old, and I’ve learned so much as a I got older. Making sure they get enough exercise by going on long walks, and giving them love and attention is my main priority! I will love your fur babies like my own and give them the best care they need. I currently work a few days a week in a resturant,so depending on when you need me, and how long you need me to stay, we can work with anything you need! In your home I’ll first make sure your fur baby trusts me and gets used to me as I know I’m a new person in their home. I’ll make sure they’re properly fed with your schedule, bathe them if need be, taking them on walks every couple of hours, and giving them one on one attention. Their safety and health is also one of my main priorities. If I feel in any way they are in danger, I will take any necessary actions to make sure they are safe and well.
About: I've been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Growing up in the country, I had the opportunity to care for a wide variety of animals, from beloved family pets to more unique companions. My experience includes dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, chickens, turkeys, ducks, a degu (yes, they're real!), a tortoise, snakes, and lizards. Today, I share my home with our rescued Lab/Pit Bull mix, whom we've loved since she was just a few months old. We recently said goodbye to our senior dog after a courageous battle with cancer, which only deepened my appreciation for the special bond we share with our pets. I truly love animals of all kinds (with the exception of spiders and cockroaches!). Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers quiet companionship, I'll care for them with the same love, patience, and attention I'd want for my own. With my husband serving in law enforcement, safety, trust, and integrity are values we live by every day. You can feel confident knowing I'll treat not only your pets with exceptional care, but your home with the utmost respect, responsibility, and security while you're away. I'm a wife and mom of two teenage boys, and I work as both a paralegal and a real estate agent. Because I work primarily from home and have the flexibility to set my own schedule, I'm able to provide attentive, personalized care for your pets. Whether your furry family member needs a walk, playtime, companionship, or simply someone to keep them company while you're away, I can easily accommodate their routine and give them the time and attention they deserve. I understand that every pet is unique, and I'll treat yours with the same love, patience, and care that I give my own. While I'm not currently able to host pets in my own home, I'm happy to care for them in the comfort and familiarity of theirs. I understand how important it is to keep your pet's routine as consistent as possible while you're away. I'll carefully follow all of your instructions—from feeding schedules and medications to walks, playtime, and bedtime routines—to ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. My goal is to provide loving, dependable care that gives you complete peace of mind, knowing your pet is happy and your home is being treated with the utmost respect while you're away.

About: I have a 11 year old Aussiedoodle who is full of energy, character, and bouncy. We both like to stay active whether that is going for a run or long walk, attend local events, explore new areas, play with toys, continuous enrichment and training. I would like to offer my time to care for dogs when their owners are away on vacation or just need someone to check in on their fur baby. When you leave your fur baby with me he or she will be in the best care and treated as if they were my own. I work remote Monday to Friday with a flexible schedule that I can rearrange or drop in your home between meetings while caring for your dog. I will text you upon arrival and text you upon departure as I am strictly in your home for your dog’s needs, play time, feeding, and walking. I will send you pictures throughout the day and/or when I drop in.
About: I’ve been dogwalking and housesitting since 2017 but I’ve had my own dogs my entire life (I’m 31 years old). I care for my own senior dog and have experience with dogs of all ages. I work from home as a therapist so my schedule is pretty flexible. If it’s a full day of sitting I can see my clients from your home and take care of your dog at the same time! Making sure everything is safe, gates are closed, doors are locked, water bowls are filled, and I’ll even straighten up the house while I’m there!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lakewood Ranch
Alexi did an outstanding job taking care of our dog, Teddy, while we were away on vacation. She was incredibly reliable, communicated with us throughout the trip, and kept us updated with messages and photos that gave us complete peace of mind. She also went above and beyond by bringing in our packages and mail, which we really appreciated. It was clear she genuinely cared about Teddy and treated him like he was her own. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for dog and a house that had been looked after too. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Alexi again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and professional pet sitter!
Cameron did a few drop ins while we were on vacation. She did an amazing job at handing our crazy crew, including a puppy. I received tons of photos which eased my anxiety being away from them. She followed their routines and was always very responsive when messaging with me :)

Carolina was able to help us out after many said no to my Cane Corso, to be fair it was very last minute. She was so kind since it’s my first time using Rover, offered to help! I was relieved to meet her in person before we left town as well. I was very happy with her punctuality during our vacation, and I appreciated all the extra she did to help us even had to clean up some nervous pee on the first visit. We will absolutely use Carolina again in the future. Thank you so much!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
