About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was about 11 and have always been the go-to pet helper in my neighborhood. I grew up loving nature thanks to my mom we were always visiting zoos and wildlife reserves, so being around animals has just always felt natural to me. My family has had both dogs and cats my whole life, and I truly adore them all. Your furry loved one will be treated like family with me and cared for with lots of love and attention 🐾💛 My schedule is fully open at the moment! Would love to take your dog for a walk early morning/late afternoon so it’s not too hot!!! I can also do drop in visits! I am very respectful of your space and treat your home just like it’s my own. I always clean up after myself and your pet, and I make sure everything is left exactly how I found it. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’m also happy to host pets in my home, where they’ll receive lots of attention and care.

About: Animals have been the center of my world for as long as I can remember. Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, and bunnies, caretaking has always been second nature to me. As a former teacher, I am now leaning fully into my true passion, and bringing comfort and happiness to pets gives me so much genuine joy. Whether your family member is a high-energy pup, an independent cat, or a gentle senior who needs a patient touch and daily medication, I treat them with the exact same structure, love, and respect I would give my own. I can't wait to keep your furry best friends safe, happy, and thoroughly spoiled while you're away! Because my other part-time commitments total only 6 hours a week, my schedule is incredibly flexible, leaving me with plenty of open time to focus entirely on caring for your pets! Here is exactly when I am briefly away each week: Weekday Evenings (2 total): At a gym, I coach a few adult workout classes in the evenings. Sunday Mornings: I teach Sunday school to preschoolers for a brief session. Outside of these short windows, my days are completely open. This minimal schedule allows me to offer highly attentive, consistent care, adapt easily to your pet's normal routine, and provide plenty of companionship throughout the day! Whether welcoming a pet into my home or staying at yours, safety and clear structure are my top priorities. My home is a pet loving environment shared with my friendly dog and two cats. To ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable, I utilize sturdy pet gates to easily separate animals for quiet time or feeding, and I am more than happy to accommodate crating upon request. Because my part-time jobs take up only 6 hours a week, pets in my care receive constant supervision and a highly consistent routine. As a former educator, I am meticulous about following your exact instructions, maintaining strict safety boundaries, and keeping you updated with photos so you can relax knowing your furry family members are safe, respected, and thoroughly loved.

About: I have years of experience with dogs big and small, reptiles and pocket pets. I have a 11 month Coonhound mix that I rescued from Nate’s and I spoil him everyday. I’ve volunteered as Veterinary Assistant at the HSSC animal clinic, worked in a dog daycare and boarding facility for over a year. I have experience working with dogs with medical attention. The last 3 years I had a Boston(Sailor) with Epilepsy and would give medication around the clock and experienced with recognizing and handling seizures. Your loved pets are my new family. I’m currently part time and have a flexible schedule. Lots of my mornings and afternoons are free to take care of your pups needs like meals, medication, play time and walks. Or just to have the company of another! I have a friendly playful dog that can keep them company and play. I enjoy going to the park when the weather allows it so we can get fresh air and exercise. I like to leave the tv on nature channel with relaxing sounds to keep them comfortable if I’m not around. When it seems they are getting board I like to give enrichment toys filled with yummy healthy treats. And I’m the cuddling type if they allow it.

About: I have taken care of animals my whole life, and have cared for 4 dogs in my home until. I love dogs, the outdoors, and being active, so dog walking is super fun for me! I have experience with high-energy dogs as well as slower senior pups. I work part-time and have a very flexible schedule, so I have plenty of free time for your pets! I’m currently available all day (including early mornings) until evening, Monday-Saturday for walks or check-in visits. I currently have Bo, a senior pitbull, who is super chill and has no problems with other dogs. I also recently got a Belgian Malinois puppy named Darth Vader! Mercury, my brother’s 6 year old Australian Cattle dog, loves to play and I take care of him on occasion. We have a large patio and pool that dogs can enjoy laying in the sun or swimming! I also have a super walk able neighborhood, with a walking trail that is off the pavement. Additionally, I do enjoy taking dogs in the car for walks in new locations or trips to the dog beach/park!

About: Dogs have been the center of my world for as long as I can remember. I grew up handling large breeds-my very first dog was a Doberman so I am entirely comfortable, confident, and experienced with big dogs of all temperaments. Today, I am the proud mom of a four-dog pack, which means I am an expert at managing multiple personalities, energy levels, and routines at once. Beyond my lifetime of personal experience, I bring a high level of reliability and peace of mind to my clients. I have a professional background in healthcare, which naturally translates into being incredibly detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and attentive to senior dogs or pets with specific medical and routine needs. Whether it's managing high-energy pups, caring for gentle giants, or giving a senior dog the patient care they deserve, I treat every pet with the same dedication I give my own. routine! Monday through Friday, I am fully available for walks, drops-ins, and sitting starting after 3 PM. On Saturdays and Sundays, my schedule is completely open anytime. Because my personal routine already includes daily walks and plenty of outdoor time, your pup will easily get all the exercise, attention, and care they need right on schedule. In Your Home: I treat your home with the utmost respect and maintain your dog's exact routine to keep them stress-free. Whether managing a strict feeding schedule, giving medication, or handling high-energy big dogs, I ensure they feel safe and loved in their own environment. • For Walks & Drop-Ins: Safety is my top priority. About: I’m 22 years old and have grown up with cats and dogs in my household my whole life. My family and I have always had at least 1 dog and 4 cats in our household at all times, so I’m very familiar with taking care of both cats and dogs. I’m currently just taking summer classes online and am not starting my part time job again for a month. I’ve been traveling for the past few weeks after finishing this past semester of school and wanted to keep my schedule open and flexible, so I am quite literally available 24/7 right now! I am very much a rule follower and very detail oriented. Whatever instructions you give for your pet, they will be followed exactly. Your pet will be in very good hands. I also love walking, so distance of course walks with your pups does not matter to me!

About: I'm new to Rover.com as a pet sitter, but I have a lifetime of experience caring for my own pets, including my beloved dog Rosie, and a jubilee of cats over the years as well as my family and friends dogs and cats of all ages and energy levels. I truly connect with each pet on an individual level. Whether it’s a senior dog needing a little extra TLC, a high-energy pup who is new to a harness or eager for a beach adventure, or a kitten that needs gentle care, I bring heartfelt, customized attention to every furry friend. I have cared for many family dogs and cats over the years, as well as provided foster care for several dog rescue organizations and was very active with the MSPCA puppy training with my dog, Rosie. I now live in Palmer Ranch, a beautiful coastal community in Sarasota, FL and I'm grateful to have met so many wonderful neighbors and furry friends. I'm happy to travel to local neighborhoods and your home for some comfort and care or to experience a little adventure together with your beloved pet. 🐾💞 I've have a flexible part-time schedule, and I’m available during the week or weekends. I can drive to your neighborhood or meet you at a local park at a time that works well with your schedule. Whether your pup needs a stroll around your block or a little outing to the dog park or beach, or your cat needs a drop in, I'm available to personalize your pet care needs. If you need me for a longer stay, I’m available to stay at your home and be a trusted companion for your pet. I respect that safety and trust are really important when it comes to your pets and your space. I want you to feel completely at ease, so I’m flexible about where we meet. You’re more than welcome to have your pet come to my home in Palmer Ranch, though it’s not fully outfitted with all the pet gear, I can still make them comfy, or I’m happy to come to your place or meet wherever you’d like, maybe for a neighborhood walk or a trip to the park. Wherever your dog or cat feels happiest, that’s where we’ll be. I would be honored to care for your fur baby and I look forward to meeting you soon.🐾🏖☀️💞

About: Hi, friends! I took a hiatus from Rover to catch up on life. I am now back, and ready to meet all the furry friends in the Jacksonville area! I recently relocated from Sarasota, and am new to Jacksonville. A quick bit about me: I am an animal lover. Growing up I was not allowed to have pets because of my mother's allergies, but would always give the best care for my friends' pets. I have been a part of this awesome Rover community for almost 10 years (wow) now, and have met some incredible people, some I now call family. I have both walked and sat (and even lived with) a variety of dog breeds, shapes, and sizes. Each has a different personality and unconditional love I look forward to interacting with every time. I am a server, and always want people to know that I do have a job that keeps me away for 5-6 hours at a time. Some pups can't be alone for that long and I completely understand! I do have a pretty flexible schedule, but always want to make sure your doggo's needs are met first. Dogs seem to take to me very well because I'm rather petite and don't pose a very big threat only being 4'11. I am looking forward to meeting you and your beloved pup pups!! As mentioned I do work as a server at night. Scheduling is pretty flexible in the summer months especially and more time off can be acquired. I do not have to be in until the late afternoon, giving me all day to spend hanging out with our furry four legged friends. I always ask owners if the dog is reactive on walks, and if there are any dogs in the neighborhood that they just don't seem to get along with and what time the owners usually perform their walks, feedings, etc. I don't want to disrupt a routine. I also ask if there are any quirks a dog may have and/or allergies. I also want to know how the dog (god for bid) reacts to a vet visit in case of an emergency.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Siesta Key choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Siesta Key with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Siesta Key. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
