“Tracy is top-notch. She has helped me out a number of times, is very reliable and Ginger loves her. As a cat Dad I am grateful and feel assured when I have to go out of town. Highly recommended and appreciated.”

About: In regards to my experience with personal pet care. From a young age, I have raised and help nurture animals in all stages of their life. Along with dogs I have provided care for other animals such as: Cats, Fish, and Horses of various shapes and sizes. LGBTQIA friendly 💖🏳️🌈 I am currently a Freelance Character Designer and Illustrator, so my schedule is pretty flexible. Let me know what's up and I'll probably be down. I care for your pets as if they were my own. Your pets wellbeing and comfort is a top priority! Also I maintain and keep schedules and plans in place for your pet; along with monitoring health, behavior and notifying pet parents of any change that arises while in my care. I want to be 100% transparent with everything that goes on in your absence to keep you at a peace of mind.
About: Hi, I’m Nick. I provide structured, dependable pet care built around routine, supervision, and clear communication. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of breeds and personalities, from working dogs like Brittanys and English Labs to rare breeds like the Swedish Vallhound, as well as rescued strays and foster animals. I adjust care based on temperament, energy level, and age, ensuring each pet feels secure and engaged. This range of experience has taught me how to read behavior, manage different energy levels, and maintain a stable environment for dogs that thrive on structure as well as those who simply need consistency and patience. My goal is simple: treat every pet like family and give owners peace of mind knowing their companions are in good hands. Oh and lots of pictures :) Because I work from home, your pet is rarely left alone. I provide a stable, structured environment with consistent supervision throughout the day, ideal for dogs that thrive on routine and attentive care. Safety and structure come first in my home. I double check gates and entry points before every walk, use secure leashing practices, and maintain a controlled environment to prevent overstimulation. Whether caring for a senior cat or a high-energy retriever, I tailor each pet’s routine to match their age, temperament, and energy level to keep them safe, balanced, and comfortable.
About: I’m a counselor during the school year and have side jobs to supplement my income. Kids and animals love me as I love them even more! ;) For the pets that I fall in love with, I will maintain those services. I have a therapy dog that works along side me. I’ve given medicine, bathe, love on them and will be their fill in mommy until you return. ;) I’m also open to discussing the costs. ***Currently I don’t have any pets of my own so I have a lot of flexibility. The therapy dog is a volunteer. I have a lot of flexibility as this is my only job at the moment. I am off during the summers so I enjoy working with animals. During the school year I’m a school counselor. I have flexibility with the job as I’m able to leave for a lunch break/check on your pup. Also, my counselor hours are 8:15-3:30. I am in early and off early to be able to check on your animals. *** I will be in town for the holidays :) I feed them, provide love, walks, and play with them. I am happy to have your kennel here for them if it helps them feel more comfortable. That is not a requirement though. I prefer going to your home only because the animals tend to do better in their own home. However, that is not required.
“Casey’s awesome, came and met Maxx before she had to come walk him. You can tell she likes dogs and Maxx took right to her. So happy we found her and could trust her while we were away for the day!”

“Sierra was great! Came over early to meet the dogs. Then arrived during the requested time frames to walk and feed them. I would recommend her to care for your dogs and I will use her again.”

About: Hi, friends! I took a hiatus from Rover to catch up on life. I am now back, and ready to meet all the furry friends in the Jacksonville area! I recently relocated from Sarasota, and am new to Jacksonville. A quick bit about me: I am an animal lover. Growing up I was not allowed to have pets because of my mother's allergies, but would always give the best care for my friends' pets. I have been a part of this awesome Rover community for almost 10 years (wow) now, and have met some incredible people, some I now call family. I have both walked and sat (and even lived with) a variety of dog breeds, shapes, and sizes. Each has a different personality and unconditional love I look forward to interacting with every time. I am a server, and always want people to know that I do have a job that keeps me away for 5-6 hours at a time. Some pups can't be alone for that long and I completely understand! I do have a pretty flexible schedule, but always want to make sure your doggo's needs are met first. Dogs seem to take to me very well because I'm rather petite and don't pose a very big threat only being 4'11. I am looking forward to meeting you and your beloved pup pups!! As mentioned I do work as a server at night. Scheduling is pretty flexible in the summer months especially and more time off can be acquired. I do not have to be in until the late afternoon, giving me all day to spend hanging out with our furry four legged friends. I always ask owners if the dog is reactive on walks, and if there are any dogs in the neighborhood that they just don't seem to get along with and what time the owners usually perform their walks, feedings, etc. I don't want to disrupt a routine. I also ask if there are any quirks a dog may have and/or allergies. I also want to know how the dog (god for bid) reacts to a vet visit in case of an emergency.
About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was about 11 and have always been the go-to pet helper in my neighborhood. I grew up loving nature thanks to my mom we were always visiting zoos and wildlife reserves, so being around animals has just always felt natural to me. My family has had both dogs and cats my whole life, and I truly adore them all. Your furry loved one will be treated like family with me and cared for with lots of love and attention 🐾💛 My schedule is fully open at the moment! Would love to take your dog for a walk early morning/late afternoon so it’s not too hot!!! I can also do drop in visits! I am very respectful of your space and treat your home just like it’s my own. I always clean up after myself and your pet, and I make sure everything is left exactly how I found it. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’m also happy to host pets in my home, where they’ll receive lots of attention and care.
“Dari was phenomenal with our fellas. She spent the holidays with them, loving them and caring for them while we were out of town. She is such an animal lover and genuinely cares for the well being of our fur babies. I can’t wait to hire her again. The fellas say thank you Aunt Dari!”

About: Animals have been the center of my world for as long as I can remember. Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, and bunnies, caretaking has always been second nature to me. As a former teacher, I am now leaning fully into my true passion, and bringing comfort and happiness to pets gives me so much genuine joy. Whether your family member is a high-energy pup, an independent cat, or a gentle senior who needs a patient touch and daily medication, I treat them with the exact same structure, love, and respect I would give my own. I can't wait to keep your furry best friends safe, happy, and thoroughly spoiled while you're away! Because my other part-time commitments total only 6 hours a week, my schedule is incredibly flexible, leaving me with plenty of open time to focus entirely on caring for your pets! Here is exactly when I am briefly away each week: Weekday Evenings (2 total): At a gym, I coach a few adult workout classes in the evenings. Sunday Mornings: I teach Sunday school to preschoolers for a brief session. Outside of these short windows, my days are completely open. This minimal schedule allows me to offer highly attentive, consistent care, adapt easily to your pet's normal routine, and provide plenty of companionship throughout the day! Whether welcoming a pet into my home or staying at yours, safety and clear structure are my top priorities. My home is a pet loving environment shared with my friendly dog and two cats. To ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable, I utilize sturdy pet gates to easily separate animals for quiet time or feeding, and I am more than happy to accommodate crating upon request. Because my part-time jobs take up only 6 hours a week, pets in my care receive constant supervision and a highly consistent routine. As a former educator, I am meticulous about following your exact instructions, maintaining strict safety boundaries, and keeping you updated with photos so you can relax knowing your furry family members are safe, respected, and thoroughly loved.

About: Hi there! My name is Catherine. I’m a Sarasota native and 30 years old. Throughout my childhood, our household had cats. In and post-university, I’ve helped care for both feline and canine family members— never my own, though. I’m not quite in a position where I would be available 365 for my own pet yet (lots of traveling), but that doesn’t stop me from dreaming of the day when, finally, the timing will be right! Meanwhile (at least), I would love to help you with yours. I have a lot of energy and would love to expend some of it making your day easier and your pet’s life a bit more fun. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend(s)! Thanks for your time. :) I will have open availability beginning mid-May, but at the moment I am available from 4pm until 6am. Checking-in with your pet is at minimum 20 minutes with me. I care for all pets as if they were my own (children). I give them undivided attention, and make sure to give them as many pets as they will accept (I’m pretty good at picking up cues when they’re not interested or have had enough).

About: I have taken care of animals my whole life, and have cared for 4 dogs in my home until. I love dogs, the outdoors, and being active, so dog walking is super fun for me! I have experience with high-energy dogs as well as slower senior pups. I work part-time and have a very flexible schedule, so I have plenty of free time for your pets! I’m currently available all day (including early mornings) until evening, Monday-Saturday for walks or check-in visits. I currently have Bo, a senior pitbull, who is super chill and has no problems with other dogs. I also recently got a Belgian Malinois puppy named Darth Vader! Mercury, my brother’s 6 year old Australian Cattle dog, loves to play and I take care of him on occasion. We have a large patio and pool that dogs can enjoy laying in the sun or swimming! I also have a super walk able neighborhood, with a walking trail that is off the pavement. Additionally, I do enjoy taking dogs in the car for walks in new locations or trips to the dog beach/park!
“Jackie is prompt, incredibly kind, and shows so much natural love to our little border collie Rusty. You can tell she deeply loves animals! Rusty absolutely loved to play, walk and give dog hugs! We also appreciated Jackie making time for us on short notice. We’ll definitely work with Jackie again and highly recommend her!”

“Hailey was amazing taking care of my two kitties. One of them takes medication and she did everything asked. Chaz is very weary with other people. It took a couple times and Chaz was happy to see her. She was also quick of responding to me when I wanted her to add some medication to my other cat. I’m new to this and glad I decided to go with her. I will use her in the future. She was so very nice, thank you Hailey!”

“We were stuck away and so fortunate that Heidi was available to come in and walk our pups! She was on time and communicated with me to make sure she earned their trust and had a good walk. We will absolutely have Heidi visit again! Highly recommended ?”

Sierra did a phenomenal job taking care of our cat. We booked Sierra last minute because my other sitter couldn’t do it and she replied almost immediately. Her darling daughter also helped with petting and caring for our cat. 2 for 1 service! Would definitely use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
