“Sadie went to Beth’s house for the weekend! She had fun and gets excited when she goes over there. Sadie & Snickers get along well, Beth is a great sitter, communicates and sends pics during her stay!”

“Jewel was so kind and detailed taking all the info I had for Luna since she is Diabetic and on special diet. Has a fenced in yard and walks the dogs. She brought out her two precious little princesses to meet Luna and they were so adorable. Her detailed text with pics of Luna’s daily events made my day. Thank you so much Jewel. I can see Luna was super relaxed since picking her up and her usual cry whining just didn't happen. It usually takes her three days to get chill again when I leave her. Thank you and your pups for her great stay away from home. 💖 You were the perfect pick for Luna.”

“Frances took such great care of my fur babies! I felt 100% confident leaving them with her. They were free to have full reign of the home as if they lived there. They also had a nice big back yard to explore if they wanted. She gave them extra perks like watermelon on a hot day (we talked in advance about treats) and a cooling mat to lie on. Don’t look any further! You’ve found a gem 💎”

“Ducky had such a great time while we were away. She was able to accommodate us last minute. I felt super confident with her care. Was worried he would be sad but he had an absolute blast. Would use her care again in future”

“Leslie was incredible and so helpful with Milo. We had the unusual request of having her take him after our wedding ceremony and she did amazing. Highly recommend!”

“Team Stephany did a wonderful job boarding Penny! Good feedback daily and I could tell Penny was having a wonderful time with Minnie. Would highly recommend and will hopefully use their services in the future. Thank you!”

“Nick was an amazing host to scout for 10 days. This was my first time boarding a dog so I was not sure what to expect, but Nick went above and beyond to keep me at ease while I was out of the country by sending multiple photo/video updates every day and notes about scouts behavior and integration with the other animals.”

“Sofia says she loves dogs and it shows in her work! She is kind, fun and honors her commitments to the letter! If you're looking for a bright energetic care giver for your dog, be sure to call on Sofia!”

“Merve took great care of both of our Maltipoos, including our puppy! She was so attentive and they both came back home exhausted annd happy after playing with Merve’s family and her dog. We would highly recommend Merve to care for your pets!!”

“Nathalie and her family were great! She would send me photos of Shamus almost everyday. That was very thoughtful to do. Shamus has type 1 Diabetes and she gave him his shots twice a day. I would definitely have Shamus go back there again. First time using the Rover App and very pleased.”

“Jennifer is lovely and a very caring person for my two young Havanese. She sent us pictures throughout the day. We felt confident leaving them with her. We had a video chat first and met her in person when dropping the dogs off. She showed us around where they would be playing and introduced us to her young daughter. She and the dogs seemed to hit it off.”

“James was awesome. He took in our Ellie and treated her as his own!! We relaxed and enjoyed our visit at the beach knowing Ellie was with James and very well taken care of. Lisa E.”

“Kari and Eric were sitting my dog for 2 weeks. They are kind and caring people, and treated my dog as their own. Kari provided regular updates with photos. I would definitely recommend them as great dog sitters, and will use their services next time. Thank you. Leon.”

“I’m so grateful for the amazing care Marley gave to my dogs, Wiley and Coco. From the start, it was clear she truly loves animals and knows how to care for them with kindness and attention to detail. She sent me regular updates with photos, which made me feel totally at ease while I was away. Coco can be pretty high-energy, but Marley handled both dogs with ease. They were calm, happy, and clearly well cared for when I got back—and the house was spotless, too! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Marley to anyone looking for a dependable, loving dog sitter. She went above and beyond, and I’ll definitely reach out to her again next time I travel. — Shannon Doell 🐶”

“Yeini watched my dogs for the first time. She made sure to update me multiple times through the day. I am super happy with her services. My 2 malteses looked happy when I picked them up!”

“Deborah did a fantastic job! She communicated to advise if all was going well. Was very professional and in my opinion, is an expert in dog sitting. She has several dogs and is well equipped to manage a dog. Was pleasantly surprised how easy the process was and how my Lola enjoyed the stay. Great experience and will definitely use her service again!!”

“Lindsay is an awesome dog sitter. I had to leave the state for a couple of weeks and was perfectly comfortable having my “kid” at her house. It’s nice because she works out of her home and do you know about the dog isn’t love for long periods of time. I will definitely use her again !”

“Wonderful family and took great care of our golden retriever Oliver. Loved getting updates and pictures while we were away. They treated him just like family! Will definitely use them again on our next trip! Thank you!”

“Our first experience with Rover, and with having someone -other than family- care for our (very needy) bengal kitty. I’m happy to say, Erin was great! She made us feel completely at ease leaving her alone in our home with Desmond. Desi loved her and looked for her after she left :( She is intuitive, cares a great deal and was super communicative, sending texts regularly, which was very much appreciated. We would absolutely call on Erin any time we need a sitter!”

“Sierra did a phenomenal job taking care of our cat. We booked Sierra last minute because my other sitter couldn’t do it and she replied almost immediately. Her darling daughter also helped with petting and caring for our cat. 2 for 1 service! Would definitely use her again.”

He was flexible with pick up/drop off times, and he went the extra mile and helped get our fur baby into a crate when he didn’t want to. Very thankful for his help during a challenging time.”

About: Kitties are my jam - I've had and taken care of cats for most of my life, including a handsome tuxedo kitty that lived to be 19 years old! Such curious creatures, I enjoy getting to know their individual personalities and preferences to make them feel safe and cared for while their parents are away. As a cat mom myself, I like to read/listen about cat psychology, behavior, and even nutrition to be able to help them live their best life possible since they have given mine so much joy. One of my current girls has no teeth (as a result of caudal stomatitis) and a very sensitive stomach - it took some trial and error but seeing her thrive now was well worth it. I promise to give the same level of attention and care to your pet and to let you know if I observe anything that seems unusual. I've gotten pretty good at clipping nails and giving topical/oral meds and am familiar with cleaning up after accidents. I try to use my intuitive kitty whisperer skills and patience to connect with even the shyest of cats. As an animal rescue volunteer, I have also fostered kittens in my home - so much fun, even for my own cats. I'd love to meet your pet(s) - please let me know if they have any favorite toys, treats and/or special needs (including if they prefer low social contact) so I can tailor my visits accordingly.

About: As a lifelong cat owner and former teacher, I speak fluent "feline." I’ve raised and cared for cats of all personalities, from playful, high energy kittens to sensitive, independent seniors. I understand that cats thrive on routine and consent, and I pride myself on reading their body language perfectly so they always feel safe and respected. Whether your cat loves interactive wand toy playtime, requires a meticulous litter box schedule, or needs a calm, patient presence to sit nearby and keep them company, I adapt entirely to their unique boundaries. I am also highly experienced with the gentle approach needed for senior cat care, including administering daily oral medications, tracking subtle appetite changes, and providing a stress free environment that keeps their routines perfectly intact.
“Casey’s awesome, came and met Maxx before she had to come walk him. You can tell she likes dogs and Maxx took right to her. So happy we found her and could trust her while we were away for the day!”

About: Hi there! My name is Catherine. I’m a Sarasota native and 30 years old. Throughout my childhood, our household had cats. In and post-university, I’ve helped care for both feline and canine family members— never my own, though. I’m not quite in a position where I would be available 365 for my own pet yet (lots of traveling), but that doesn’t stop me from dreaming of the day when, finally, the timing will be right! Meanwhile (at least), I would love to help you with yours. I have a lot of energy and would love to expend some of it making your day easier and your pet’s life a bit more fun. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend(s)! Thanks for your time. :) I will have open availability beginning mid-May, but at the moment I am available from 4pm until 6am. Checking-in with your pet is at minimum 20 minutes with me. I care for all pets as if they were my own (children). I give them undivided attention, and make sure to give them as many pets as they will accept (I’m pretty good at picking up cues when they’re not interested or have had enough).

“Nicholas is our new favorite sitter! His relaxing easy going personality is a perfect fit for our two pups. I tell them on the way there that they are going to spend the day AT THE GREAT BIG YARD! So much room for activities! So many sniffs and smells and sights and yard to check out. Then, especially since it's summer, plenty of snoozing on the couch or cool tiles. Nicholas has been agreeable with some time changes and is super responsive when I have a question. We're new to Rover and will likely not look any further for a sitter now that we've found Nicholas and The Great Big Yard! Thank you, Nicholas!”

“I cannot say enough about my experience with Beth and her husband and their home, little dog and cats. I felt so at ease around their kindness. The best part is that my dog was more vibrant and playful after two days with them. They were keen to follow instructions and just be a loving presence for Zushi. That’s what we needed most! I will be booking with them again. And highly recommend them.”

About: Animals have been the center of my world for as long as I can remember. Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, and bunnies, caretaking has always been second nature to me. As a former teacher, I am now leaning fully into my true passion, and bringing comfort and happiness to pets gives me so much genuine joy. Whether your family member is a high-energy pup, an independent cat, or a gentle senior who needs a patient touch and daily medication, I treat them with the exact same structure, love, and respect I would give my own. I can't wait to keep your furry best friends safe, happy, and thoroughly spoiled while you're away! Because my other part-time commitments total only 6 hours a week, my schedule is incredibly flexible, leaving me with plenty of open time to focus entirely on caring for your pets! Here is exactly when I am briefly away each week: Weekday Evenings (2 total): At a gym, I coach a few adult workout classes in the evenings. Sunday Mornings: I teach Sunday school to preschoolers for a brief session. Outside of these short windows, my days are completely open. This minimal schedule allows me to offer highly attentive, consistent care, adapt easily to your pet's normal routine, and provide plenty of companionship throughout the day! Whether welcoming a pet into my home or staying at yours, safety and clear structure are my top priorities. My home is a pet loving environment shared with my friendly dog and two cats. To ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable, I utilize sturdy pet gates to easily separate animals for quiet time or feeding, and I am more than happy to accommodate crating upon request. Because my part-time jobs take up only 6 hours a week, pets in my care receive constant supervision and a highly consistent routine. As a former educator, I am meticulous about following your exact instructions, maintaining strict safety boundaries, and keeping you updated with photos so you can relax knowing your furry family members are safe, respected, and thoroughly loved.

“Brianna was so great with Fin. He had a long traveling car to Sarasota and was exhausted. Lots of new places for him. She was very good with him which was such a relief for me, as I never left him with anyone before.”

“Jonathan’s love of animals was clear from the moment he came out to meet Remy. It can be a little nerve-racking leaving your new family member with someone you’ve just met, but Jonathan and his family made both Remy and myself feel welcome and at ease. Jonathan sent lots of pictures throughout the day to to show how much fun Remy was having and was always quick to respond! If you’re looking for a sitter or walker who is going to show your pet as much love and affection as you do, look no further!”

“Charlotte and Randy are absolutely wonderful. I was very anxious about leaving my spoo with anyone and they were fabulous. They have their own little spoo and Churchill felt so at home with them and would get so excited to visit them, this from a dog who doesn't like strangers. They were only strangers for one day. He knew when his daycare day was and would be so excited to go. I can't thank them or recommend them highly enough for the way they loved my dog. I'm sorry to be moving away because we will miss them greatly. Do not hesitate to leave your dog with them. If you have a poodle even better.”

Last summer, I also worked at Groomerie as a dog bather, where I learned how to safely handle dogs, read body language, keep pets calm, and make sure they felt comfortable during care. What sets me apart is that I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I understand that every dog has different needs—whether that means extra energy on walks, gentle care for nervous pups, or a calm approach with older dogs. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, happy, and cared for like family. Pet care fits well into my routine this semester. I’m a college student taking three online courses, which gives me a flexible schedule throughout the week. I’m attentive to each pet’s behavior, keep a clean and safe environment, and always make sure doors, gates, leashes, and food areas are secure. During walks, I stay alert to surroundings and make safety my main focus. I also provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident knowing their pet is happy and well cared for.
“Jewels was wonderful. She did a meet and greet prior to the actual dog walking appointment. That really impressed me. She also faced numerous challenges with my condo complex and access. But she overcame them with no problems. She also kept me informed about everything with my dog. Cant say enough good about her. I highly recommend Jewel.”

I dedicate consistent time each day for walks, play, and training with Hoss, ensuring he receives mental and physical stimulation. On weekdays, I balance pet duties by prioritizing morning and evening care sessions. Weekends allow for longer playtimes and socializing with other dogs. My routine is flexible to accommodate the unique needs of any pet under my care, ensuring they feel loved and well-attended at all times. When caring for pets, safety is my top priority. In mine or the clients’ homes, I carefully follow their instructions and routines to maintain consistency and comfort. I ensure all hazardous items like cleaning supplies and medications are securely out of pets’ reach. I pet-proof the space by checking doors, windows, and gates to prevent escapes and accidents. I keep the home secure by locking doors behind me and carry keys at all times. Communication is timely and transparent, with updates and photos to reassure pet parents. My lifetime experience enables me to respond calmly in emergencies, making trust and safety paramount in every visit.

I can tend to your dogs needs weather it just be a walk or to help make sure they have their medicine. I have provided advanced care for Dobermans with DCM, from admin of medicine orally and injectable to monitor heart monitors etc ’m a self-employed consultant who works entirely from home, which means I have genuine flexibility throughout the day. Pet care fits naturally into my routine — walks and visits aren’t a disruption, they’re a welcome break. I’m available most mornings and afternoons and can work around your pet’s existing schedule rather than forcing them into mine. I’m a lifelong dog lover and Doberman owner — I’ve raised two Dobermans of my own, including one who was diagnosed with DCM (dilated cardiomyopathy), a serious cardiac condition. I treat every dog with patience and respect, whether it’s a routine walk or medication-assisted care.
About: I’m 22 years old and have grown up with cats and dogs in my household my whole life. My family and I have always had at least 1 dog and 4 cats in our household at all times, so I’m very familiar with taking care of both cats and dogs. I’m currently just taking summer classes online and am not starting my part time job again for a month. I’ve been traveling for the past few weeks after finishing this past semester of school and wanted to keep my schedule open and flexible, so I am quite literally available 24/7 right now! I am very much a rule follower and very detail oriented. Whatever instructions you give for your pet, they will be followed exactly. Your pet will be in very good hands. I also love walking, so distance of course walks with your pups does not matter to me!

About: Hi! Let me introduce our little family! We are two humans (John and Kristie) and a Chocolate Lab (Charlie). We are a fun and active family. We love spending time at dog parks, dog beaches and exploring trails. We are experts at providing stimulation and exercise to even the most hyperactive pups. We are happy to share our time and energy with new fur friends going on field trips, playing fetch, snuggling on the couch or exploring the neighborhood. We manage vacation rentals on Siesta Key and know the importance of providing service for your vacationing pups! We have experience and are comfortable with many different breeds. Take some time to peruse our photos of past and current clients to get a glimpse of the love, fun and care we have to offer. We look forward to meeting you! I make my own work schedule and work remotely most of the time. That means I have plenty of free time and flexibility for Rover. I take supervision very seriously and watch for cues and body language. Being proactive means avoiding accidents and mishaps. A little redirection also goes a long way.
“Leah did a great job walking our dog and providing feedback. She stopped by a few days prior to meet him. She walked him twice on the day we reserved, both times with his tail was wagging high when she arrived. We will definitely want her to walk our dog again.”

About: I was an animal rights activist in LA for many years. My love for animals started as a small child; I grew up on a farm and have owned and cared for any kind of animal you can possibly imagine(even pet skunks). I have experience working in animal rescues, veterinary offices, and dog daycares. I started having my own pet sitting business in college called 'Fuzzy Buddies'. I am extremely in tune and sensitive to each individual animal's needs. My downfall is I will completely baby your beloved fur-children. I can do house sitting visits or stay overnight with your babies. I can also administer medications along with meal plans or take to and from the vet. I very much look forward to spending time with your beloved angel-babies!
“Erica was amazing taking care of Winston! She was very communicative, sent lots of pictures and updates, was on time, and really took care of him. I really appreciated being able to leave him all day knowing he would get a good walk with her. I would definitely use her again. Thank you so much!”

“Kari and Eric were sitting my dog for 2 weeks. They are kind and caring people, and treated my dog as their own. Kari provided regular updates with photos. I would definitely recommend them as great dog sitters, and will use their services next time. Thank you. Leon.”

“Wonderful family and took great care of our golden retriever Oliver. Loved getting updates and pictures while we were away. They treated him just like family! Will definitely use them again on our next trip! Thank you!”

“Sierra is excellent. She's professional and accommodating. She loves animals and will take great care of your pet. We highly recommend her and would definitely use her again in the future!”
“I used Rover for the first time and was honestly a little skeptical because of past experiences. However, my original sitter had an emergency and recommended Rover, so I decided to give it a try. After reading countless reviews, I came across Alyssa and felt comfortable enough to book with her and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I met her, I felt at ease leaving my baby in her care. She was incredibly sweet, very communicative, and always responded promptly with pictures and videos whenever I checked in. What really stood out to me was how flexible and accommodating she was, especially since this was a last-minute booking she truly was a lifesaver. Most importantly, when I picked up my baby, she was so happy and comfortable. She didn’t seem anxious or like she was trying to rush out, which meant everything to me. I would absolutely book Alyssa again anytime I’m visiting Sarasota. Thank you so much, Alyssa!”

“Pamela is the best sitter we could ask for. Every time we go on vacation, Nico gets one too. He’s always so relaxed and happy being with Pamela and her family , you can tell he’s genuinely loved and cared for, not just watched. We never worry when he’s with her, which as dog parents is honestly the biggest gift. Can’t recommend her highly enough. Nico (and we!) are always so excited for his next stay with her.”

“Christal was great! My family and I enjoyed a nice vacation in Siesta Key with peace of mind that our dog was being taken care of nearby. Christal’s location was very convenient to our vacation spot and she sent photos of our pup throughout the stay. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I’ve had dogs for many years and have plenty of experience caring for different personalities, sizes and energy levels. Friends and family have trusted me to look after their pets over the years, and I truly enjoy creating a calm, safe and loving environment for them. I’m patient, attentive and responsible, and I understand how important routines, affection and supervision are for a dog’s well-being. I only take a limited number of dogs at a time so each pet receives personalized care and attention during their stay. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to give dogs plenty of attention, supervision and companionship throughout the day. I’m home most of the time and enjoy maintaining a calm and structured environment with regular walks, playtime and rest. I only take a limited number of dogs at a time so I can focus on each pet individually and make sure they feel comfortable, safe and well cared for during their stay. Your dog’s safety and comfort are very important to me. I provide a clean, calm and secure home environment and always supervise interactions carefully. I follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks and any special instructions from the owner. I prefer caring for well-behaved adult dogs and only accept a small number of pets at a time to ensure personalized attention and a low-stress environment for everyone.
“Mylena is amazing! My dog Tessa has never been around children and let her know I was worried about that and she put me at ease the morning of drop off. This was my first time putting my animal in boarding before. Mylena texted me EVERY day with pics and updates. My heart broke leaving her for 2 weeks, but I knew she was in great hands. I will ALWAYS go back when I need a pet sitter. Thank youuuuu so much for making my girl feel right at home. Highly recommend!!!!!!!”

“Meghan took such good care of Hudson! When he was picked up we could tell he was well cared for, happy, and tired out from all of the playing while we were gone :) she was also very accommodating when I realized that our flights were at a different time than I thought and agreed to have him early! We will definitely be re-booking!”

“I got lots of picture updates while I was gone. Patricia and Alex took amazing care of my high energy pitbull! He came home and was exhausted which is always a good sign! We will be rebooking!”
