“We had to find boarding on short notice and were lucky that Tammy was available that weekend to board our elderly dog. We were hesitant about leaving our dog with a stranger (we normally board her with our vet), but Tammy gave us a good impression, and we were glad we chose her. She was very polite and professional, and she sent us pictures of our dog relaxing with her kids or going out for a walk, which made us feel more comfortable about leaving our dog for the weekend. We were disappointed to learn that our dog had had some accidents in the house, but Tammy handled it without complaints, was very patient, and never had an unkind word to say about her. Overall, a very good first experience using Rover, and we would definitely consider boarding with Tammy again in the future.”

“Kathy was wonderful! Daily updates via email with pictures really helped put my mind at ease about leaving my babies for the first time. They even got a stocking and a toy on Christmas Day! I will definitely use Kathy again and I highly recommend her to anyone who needs a sitter.”

“Second stay with Connie and Mark. Immaculate, quiet, peaceful home. My dog is 18 years old. Two weeks was the longest time I’ve ever left him. He did great. I highly recommend them!!”
“Our dog Sammy loved his stay with Linda and her family. They sent us photos and videos updates daily, making us feel so relieved and happy. Their dog Jachik is also so friendly and loving. We would love to work with Linda again in the future! ❤️”

“Jennifer did a wonderful job of caring for Buddy she is very loving and caring. I give her the highest review. You can confidently leave your pets with Jennifer and know that they are safe and well loved!”

“Kim and her family took fantastic care of my very active dog Henry over the Christmas vacation. It was a relief that he was with a beautiful family when we were with ours. We will definitely be leaving Henry with Kim again and Henry is looking forward to it also:)”

“Love love love when Rex stays over Claudia’s! He’s stayed over multiple times and I am never disappointed. Claudia is always posting videos/pictures of Rex on her dog boarding Instagram page so I am always updated with how he is doing. She replies right away to messages so communication is 10/10. Rex is happy with her and so am I :-)”
About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals and have been caring for them for over 15 years, including dogs, cats, and horses. I recently lost my beloved dog, Diesel, who was a huge part of my life. While I’m not quite ready to open my heart to another pet of my own yet, I have so much love and care to give to yours. I truly enjoy getting to know each animal and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, happy, and loved while their family is away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding, or simply keeping them company, I’ll care for your pets with the same love, patience, and attention I’ve always given my own. I work from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to spend plenty of time with your pets throughout the day. I’m also happy to stay in your home so they can remain in the environment where they feel safest and most comfortable. I can keep them company while I work and maintain their normal routine with walks, meals, playtime, cuddles, and lots of love and attention. I believe most pets are happiest and most comfortable in their own home, surrounded by their familiar smells, routines, and favorite spots. Since I work from home, I’m able to stay with them and give them plenty of companionship throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I’ll follow your routines and instructions closely and treat your pets and your home with the same love, care, and respect I would my own.
“Taylor was amazing! She was in constant communication with me and sent me daily updates and pictures. Taylor and her family were very sweet and loving and made my dog feel right at home!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, frogs, rats. I love all animals and grew up with just about every type of pet you can imagine! I currently have two Pitbull/Staffordshire mixes. They are great friends and the best part of my life at home:) Sometimes their friend Raven, a black German Shepherd visits, however she does not live here full time. I work night shift so I would be happy to care for your pets on my nights off or during evening hours when I am home from work I have a fully fenced in yard for potty breaks. Any walks and home watches will be done with as much attention and care for your pet as possible!
“Barbara and Mario did a wonderful job babysitting my two small dogs, Emmy and Hailey, for the weekend. It was such a comfort knowing they were in caring and trustworthy hands. My girls came home happy and well cared for. I’m very grateful and would absolutely trust them again!”

“Gina and her Husband helped me out in a last minute scheduling. They took great care of my cats and kept me up to date on everything through this process. Would absolutely go to again.”

“My elderly dog is usually anxious in new places, but he immediately relaxed upon entering Suzanne’s home. She and her family treated my dog like he was their own. Suzanne sent me pictures and updates during his stay, which reassured me that my dog was happy. I would highly recommend Suzanne if you are in need of a pet sitter!”

About: I have created an easy to care for pet home with an all-tile floor, double door entries at all three take-in locations, and have doggy doors that let dogs come and go to the Back Yard to get exercise or take a potty break. I have been caring for four rescue dogs for over six years a dog in my home since 2012. I am currently retired and enjoy caring for my pets and those that visit. aside from caring for the dogs I am pretty much caring for the yard and the home. I have a fenced yard and three senior dogs and one 5-year-old dog, all rescues. Usually, breakfast in the morning roughly 7:00 followed by a walk then dinner at 4:00.

“This was the first time every using a dog sitter and i can not say enough what a wonderful experience I had. Cookie is only 5 months old and I was worried about leaving her, but Jeanne was beyond wonderful. She kept in great contact with updates and videos to ease my mind. Cookie had the most wonderful time with her new friends. We will be returning for play dates.”

We couldn’t be happier with our pet sitter Nicole! She was caring, dependable, and truly treated our pet like her own. Communication was excellent, and we felt completely confident knowing our pet was in such good hands. We highly recommend Nicole to anyone looking for a fabulous, trustworthy pet sitter!

Conner and his family were very welcoming to our 2 pups. We knew at the meet and greet that they were the perfect fit for us while we were away for a week. We felt completely confident that that they would be well taken care of, walked and felt safe with Conner. Communication was great through out the whole process and pictures of them enjoying their stay. We would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone.
Starla took wonderful care of our sometimes unruly little morkie Maui. We were able to relax on our week long vacation knowing he was in great hands. Starla communicated with us regularly with pictures putting us even more at ease. We would highly recommend Starla to our friends and family. We will surely be using her services again.
Robin is an absolute angel! She watched our dog Buddy for 10 days, and was amazing with him. Buddy is a rescue and a very nervous little guy, so Robin had us bring him over for short little stays with her prior to our vacation, so that Buddy could get adjusted to us leaving him for a period of time. She truly cares about the pets she watches, and I felt like she cared for Buddy as if he were her own. Robin kept us updated on how he was doing, and included photos. We missed Buddy terribly while we were away, but we knew he was in safe, capable, and loving hands. I would recommend Robin to anyone looking for a pet sitter, and would not hesitate to book with her again. Five stars is not enough! :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
