“Morgan was great to work with. The dogs were well taken care of and from pictures shared, I could tell they were very comfortable in her home. I was dealing with some weather related travel issues and I appreciated her communication and flexibility.”

“Very responsive with booking, even with the short notice that we had. She sent multiple videos and pictures of Sophie throughout her stay. We felt extremely comfortable leaving her for the weekend and will definitely use Debbie again!”

“I was nervous the first time I used Rover but from my first meeting with Lindsey she put me at ease. My dog Finn loved her on sight and one of my. 2 cats came right up to her. Finn went to her house to stay for 4 nights and Lindsey came daily to take care of the kitties. She even brought in the mail while we were gone. Ever day she sent pictures and text messages to let us know how they were. By the time we came home Finn had more than made himself at home. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Lindsey in the future.”

“Ray and his son took great care of our pups. This was their first time away from home. I got pictures of my boys everyday along with a little message letting me know they were doing well. I can’t thank him enough for his caring nature and love he has for dogs.”

“Oh my gosh—our fur babies had an absolute blast! Leslie’s home is honestly more fun than our own 😂. We’ve finally found our pups’ new vacation spot. They always have company, and every animal is treated like one of her own children. We felt completely at ease knowing they were so loved and well cared for. Highly recommend!”

“James took such great care of my dog Fletcher for a 3 night stay! I got daily updates with pics and James had Fletcher happily waiting for an easy quick pick up! My dog LOVED playing with James' dogs. HIGHLY recommend James!”

“Meghan is very reliable and trustworthy. My dog is a chihuahua and had not been around big dogs in a home before. She came back without a scratch. I loved the videos Meghan sent and I could tell she enjoyed Lilas visit and Lila was taken care of.”

“Morgan was amazing. Very communicative and sent pics daily. My dog seemed to really enjoy his time. Would recommend her to anyone. She lives on a large plot of land away from any city.”

“I cannot recommend Katarina enough. Teddy unexpectedly developed GI issues that required a strict diet and extra care, and Katarina handled everything with such patience and professionalism. She kept us updated constantly, giving us total peace of mind. We are so grateful for the extra effort she put in during a difficult situation—she is a true 'dog person' and a total lifesaver. Highly recommend! Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our boy!”

“Kathy J. is an excellent dog sitter. Her home is clean, and built for puppies to have fun. The atmosphere that our babies receive from Kathy and her husband is full of much loving care and fun. Our puppies enjoyed playing with their two puppies during their stay. Kathy sent pictures and updates everyday so we could know how our boys were doing which was awesome. Won't hesitate calling on Kathy J. again if care is needed. ”

“Misti is amazing! We are new to Sarasota and have tried a couple different boarding options. Our dog comes home stressed and nervous. Then we found Misti! Our dog loved her stay with her and came home happy and clean!! I would highly recommend Misti!”

About: I’ve had dogs for many years and have plenty of experience caring for different personalities, sizes and energy levels. Friends and family have trusted me to look after their pets over the years, and I truly enjoy creating a calm, safe and loving environment for them. I’m patient, attentive and responsible, and I understand how important routines, affection and supervision are for a dog’s well-being. I only take a limited number of dogs at a time so each pet receives personalized care and attention during their stay. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to give dogs plenty of attention, supervision and companionship throughout the day. I’m home most of the time and enjoy maintaining a calm and structured environment with regular walks, playtime and rest. I only take a limited number of dogs at a time so I can focus on each pet individually and make sure they feel comfortable, safe and well cared for during their stay. Your dog’s safety and comfort are very important to me. I provide a clean, calm and secure home environment and always supervise interactions carefully. I follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks and any special instructions from the owner. I prefer caring for well-behaved adult dogs and only accept a small number of pets at a time to ensure personalized attention and a low-stress environment for everyone.
“Mylena is amazing! My dog Tessa has never been around children and let her know I was worried about that and she put me at ease the morning of drop off. This was my first time putting my animal in boarding before. Mylena texted me EVERY day with pics and updates. My heart broke leaving her for 2 weeks, but I knew she was in great hands. I will ALWAYS go back when I need a pet sitter. Thank youuuuu so much for making my girl feel right at home. Highly recommend!!!!!!!”

“Lucca our 11-year old cavalier has never had a pet sitter that wasn’t immediate family. Kelli offered to meet before our vacation and we were comfortable from then on. She asked extensive questions about his care & handled his somewhat complicated medication and food schedule like a pro. So happy to have found Kelli. She is very trustworthy and gave excellent updates every day. Lucca was so loved while we were gone & his transition back home after 5 days was seamless. I will be contacting her soon to help again. :)”

“Tiffany did a great job caring for our babies! Our dogs were comfortable and I felt confident that they were in good care. Our babies enjoyed their vacation with Tiffany while we were away. We will definitely use Tiffany again in the future. Thank you so much!”

Leslie was an amazing dog sitter! She took such great care of my pup and kept me completely at ease by sending regular pictures and updates. It was clear my dog was happy, comfortable, and well-loved the entire time. I really appreciated her communication and kindness. I will definitely be booking with Leslie again—highly recommend!

The best! If your pet is lucky enough to have Marcy, then you and your pet are in for a tweet. Stella had plenty of walks, love and attention. Marcy went out of her way to come to our house to meet Stella and ourselves prior to taking Stella in. I dropped Stella off at her lovely home with plenty of space for Stella. Marcy returned Stella to our home, so that we didn’t have to go out after my surgery. It was the perfect match. I hope Stella is lucky enough to go and stay with Marcy again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
