“Ying was amazing! I found her last minute on Rover and she was very responsive, punctual, and communicative the entire time. She sent me pictures of my kitties and made me feel comfortable knowing they were in good hands. For a last-minute booking, it was a great first experience and I would definitely use her again.”

“Carmen (and her hubby) made a wonderful visit with my Eli! He is a recent rescued dog – He needed a TLC for a mini elimination break while I was at a family gathering. They sent me photos of him lobbies, documented that he did his business, gave him a treat and refill his water dish. An all around excellent visit. I will definitely use them again!”

“Tara did such a great job with Annabel’s care. She was thorough, conscientious, and went above and beyond to make sure my kitty had everything she needed. He communication was detailed and prompt. I will hope she is available when Annabel needs care in the future.”

“Carolina was able to help us out after many said no to my Cane Corso, to be fair it was very last minute. She was so kind since it’s my first time using Rover, offered to help! I was relieved to meet her in person before we left town as well. I was very happy with her punctuality during our vacation, and I appreciated all the extra she did to help us even had to clean up some nervous pee on the first visit. We will absolutely use Carolina again in the future. Thank you so much!”

About: Welcome to my home-based dog boarding experience, where your pup becomes part of the family! I can offer a huge fenced-in yard perfect for safe play, exercise, and outdoor fun. Overnight boarding is available for potty-trained pets, and dog walking can be included as part of their stay. Dogs in my care enjoy regular outdoor time in our large, fenced yard, walks, playtime, feeding schedules tailored to their needs, and lots of companionship throughout the day. Because I attend to other responsibilities during the day, I ask that your pet is crate or kennel comfortable to ensure their safety while we are away. Pets staying in my home are treated like part of the family. I provide a safe, loving environment with plenty of supervised outdoor play in our large fenced yard, walks, playtime, feeding schedules based on your pet’s routine, and lots of affection and companionship throughout the day.

“Christine was awesome and we can't say enough good things about her. We received daily pictures and updates during our time away and she was extremely helpful with our older, 17-year-old, cat, as well as with our two 9-month-old kittens. Christine was very responsive to our texts, and we will continue to book her as our caretaker when we are away.”

“Great sitter!! Pleasant. Communicative and personable. Very flexible with her schedule. Always checking in and checking out! — sent a lot of pictures. Highly recommended. Will use her again!”

“Tracy is top-notch. She has helped me out a number of times, is very reliable and Ginger loves her. As a cat Dad I am grateful and feel assured when I have to go out of town. Highly recommended and appreciated.”

“Sydney was the right choice for taking care of Donut. We loved the photos and updates while we were away. She played with him and was respectful of our apartment. Donut has a new friend and we will book with Sydney from now on. Thank you Sydney!”

“cannot say enough good things about [Dog Sitter’s Name]. From the very beginning, communication was clear, prompt, and friendly, which instantly gave me peace of mind. [He/She/They] took the time to understand my dog’s routine, personality, and little quirks, and it really showed in the care provided. Throughout the stay, I received regular updates and photos, and it was obvious that my dog was happy, comfortable, and well-loved. When I came home, everything was spotless, and my pup was relaxed and content (a true sign of great care!). It’s not easy to trust someone with your furry family member, but Jewell exceeded all expectations. Reliable, caring, and professional — I would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who treats your dog like their own.”

Dot was wonderful with my Goldendoodle, Charlie. From our first conversation throughout Charlie’s visit with Dot, her communication and the comfort she provided was exceptional. Great attention to detail, promptness and follow through with instructions. Dot has a kind and loving personality. That was a perfect match for my fur baby. I will be hiring her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
