“Katelyn was very conscientious and followed all instructions to a “T.” I did not have to worry about anything, as she communicated often and asked questions if she was unsure about something. The house was spotless when we returned! I would not hesitate to have her sit our boys again.”
“I can not say enough great things about Libah. She made my trip so much better because I had no worries about leaving her with my boy Journey. She provided daily pictures and messages. Some days there were multiple communications. She was absoluty great. I would without a doubt, would without hesitation use her again. Trust me if you are looking for a sitter, she is the one you should go to!!”

About: I love animals. I understand how much work they can be but also know how much love they provide. Whether you work long hours or travel for work, let me help. I love being outside, the park and the beach. I can throw a ball or snuggle with the best. I have no problem giving baths and grooming needs. I am responsible, reliable, punctual, loving, and caring. I can walk to your house downtown.I have no problem coming to your home and caring for your pets. I have a pooch of my own. It is easier for me to come to you. I would love to be a part of your doggy routine whether it is daily, weekly, monthly, or as you need it. I am here for your convenience! Currently only working part time. My schedule is flexible to meet your needs. I can do multiple drop ins in a day or stay at your house to help in whatever way your fur baby needs! My biggest concern is the welfare of your animals. I don’t want to be without food or clean water and your fur babies shouldn’t have to either.
“Megan is a lifesaver! We have never left our puppy before and wanted to travel for our daughter’s graduation in NYC. We never had to worry for a minute. So grateful she stayed at our home with both dogs. We highly recommend Megan to home sit.”

“Susan did an excellent job taking care of our dog (Orzo) and cat (Bonkers) while we were away for 5 days. Orzo was taken on multiple (long and short) walks throughout the day. It was comforting knowing that our pets were well taken care of in their own home. It relieved a lot of stress on them (and on us) while we had to travel. Susan also took great care of the house and left it house spotless. We would highly recommend Susan for your pet sitting needs.”

“This is our first time using rover. Karen I is an absolute angel! What a professional through and through. She kept us up to date with daily reports on how our pups were doing and got along with them perfectly. Our pups can be a bit high maintenance but no concern for Karen I. THE BEST! She took great care of our pups and our house too. The complete package ! We can’t wait to book her again! 6 stars if I could give them.”

“Miranda did an excellent job pet sitting for my two dogs in my home. She sent me adorable picture collages and I knew they were having fun and that they were very comfortable with her. My home was in perfect shape upon my return.”
“Debbie took great care of Moxie. I'm always nervous leaving my girl with a new sitter, but Debbie put me right at ease. Her two dogs are sweet and calm and it was great for Moxie to have companions. If your dog is nervous, she has ways to keep them separated. I appreciated the daily updates, photos, and videos and reassurance so I could relax and enjoy my business trip. I will definitely leave Moxie in Debbie's care again.”

About: I will treat your babies just like mine. I will take them to dog parks, on my boat, or adventures if you'd like and if theyre adventurous. I have lifejackets for all sizes. Also, I'm amazing with senior dogs if they just want to relax at home. Currently, my dog is 13 years old that I've had since she were puppy. The most important would be away from your pups are 4.5 hours. I own and run a boat tour business in the area. Most of my trips are 4 hours max. Whatever your rules are at your home is what I do. When I take them out on adventures I always keep them on leash unless it is gated. Even if they have recall, I don't chance that.
“Stephanie did a wonderful job stepping in for the first time with our 2 dogs- one 4 year old, one 7 months! She kept us posted everyday and sent great pictures! We will definitely use her services again!”

“We have had Erin watch our pups quite a few times and I would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone! I think a friend of ours even used her for her new pup. Great communication, love the photos and our doodles absolutely love her company.”

I am home all day and can provide lots of attention to your animal throughout the day. I live in a spacious apartment. All pets are allowed on furniture. My complex does have a gated dog park (if you are comfortable with that), if not, we have trails all around the complex for long walks.

About: Hi! My name is Hailey, I’m 21 years old and currently in nursing school. I’ve been around animals my entire life and have always had a huge love for them. I currently have four cats and a Golden Retriever of my own, including a blind cat, so I also have personal experience caring for an animal with special needs and understanding the extra patience, attention, and consistency they may require. I also have experience watching and caring for my sister’s dog, along with taking care of my own pets every day. I understand how important it is to have someone dependable, patient, and loving looking after your pets while you’re away. I’m happy to help with feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, litter box care, companionship, and making sure your pets feel safe and comfortable. I’ll treat your pets with the same love and attention I give my own. I also have reliable transportation and my own car, which makes it easy for me to travel to your home for drop-in visits, walks, or other pet-care needs. I’m responsible, caring, and excited to meet you and your pets! Pet care fits well into my daily and weekly schedule. I am currently in nursing school and am available after 3:00 PM on weekdays once I get out of class. My weekends are open, giving me plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. I also have my own reliable transportation, so I’m able to travel to clients and make sure their pets receive consistent and dependable care. In a client’s home, I would follow their pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and safe. I can provide feeding, fresh water, walks, potty breaks, playtime, litter box cleaning, and plenty of attention and companionship. I’m also comfortable caring for pets that may need extra patience, since I have a blind cat of my own. I would make sure to follow any specific instructions the owner leaves and keep their home and pet’s space clean and secure while they are away.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Osprey
Noelle was an amazing dog sitter for our active English Bulldog! She came for a meet and greet, and we hired her on the spot! Her communication was amazing throughout the process and the trip, and we could really enjoy our time away. It was a great feeling coming home to a pup that was happy, loved and comfortable in our home rather than in a kennel. We highly recommend Noelle!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Osprey on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Osprey walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Osprey maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Osprey choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Osprey. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
