“Nadina is a great pet sitter. She is reliable, friendly and very confident with animals. Our 3 animals seemed happy and content upon our return. The house was clean and tidy. She was attentive and followed all of our instructions well. We certainly would request her services again and so appreciate her time and efforts with making our pets feel loved.”

“Libah was amazing! During our meet and greet, she asked questions and took notes to make sure Trix was given the best care. She made sure to use Trix’s routine to ensure her happiness. Libah was great with communication while I was gone. I never had to worry about what was happening at home.”

“This is our first time using rover. Karen I is an absolute angel! What a professional through and through. She kept us up to date with daily reports on how our pups were doing and got along with them perfectly. Our pups can be a bit high maintenance but no concern for Karen I. THE BEST! She took great care of our pups and our house too. The complete package ! We can’t wait to book her again! 6 stars if I could give them.”

“Celia is wonderful. My dog loved her and she was very good with her. She is reliable and my dog was comfortable with her right away. She loves animals. Grateful for her during a difficult time with a loved one in the hospital. Definitely will rebook.”
“Tatianna took wonderful care of my dog while I was out for the evening. She arrived on time, then walked him on one of the coldest nights of the year, gave him treats, and paid lots of attention to him. I will not hesitate to have Tatianna come back again.”

“Tricia safely and reliably took care of my little kitties and sent proof of life photos every time! They both seemed to be very comfortable with her being there, even my timid girl. 😸 Great sitter, would hire her again!”

“Holly and Jace did a wonderful job caring for my dogs, Carter and Cash, while staying in my home. They were friendly, easy to communicate with, and very responsive to text messages before and during their stay. I especially appreciated the regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Scheduling was simple, and they were reliable and professional throughout the entire process. It was clear they took the time to get to know both of my dogs and their unique personalities. Carter loved getting plenty of cuddle time, while Cash was thrilled to have someone to play fetch with. Since my boys are very different and enjoy different things, it meant a lot to know they were both getting the attention they love. I would happily recommend Holly and Jace to other pet parents!”

“Sharon is very conscientious & responsible. Communication was great on the front end & during our trip. Most importantly, our cat Roscoe was quite happy, as evidenced by the photos Sharon sent & his demeanor when we returned! Sharon also kindly watered our outdoor plants, which looked better when we returned than when we left. She also left our home immaculate. Great pet sitter!!”

About: My biggest passion has always been caring for animals. Along with having my own dogs my whole life I have been dog sitting and walking for the past 2 years. I also have 2 years of experience as a dog groomer along with 6+ years of experience caring for horses, cats, goats, and chickens. I am currently in school to become a radiologist tech and it is very easy for me to schedule pet care around my classes since they are only on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. I am available for walks or drop ins during the week and weekend. I am also available Friday-Monday to housesit. Together my clients and I establish a plan for their pet’s care based off of their needs, interests and abilities. I strive to build a trusting bond with every pet, and to ensure that they receive the highest level of care.
“Debra was perfect! Our boys loved being at home & she stayed with them. We loved the photos everyday and the updates she would send. We would have Debra stay again & again!”

“I really appreciate the excellent care Steve provided to my cat Gabby and dog Sprite. All the pictures were wonderful. Sprite loved walkies and hang out time. Steve definitely went above and beyond to make sure my fur babies were happy and healthy. Thank you so much!”

“Debbie took great care of Moxie. I'm always nervous leaving my girl with a new sitter, but Debbie put me right at ease. Her two dogs are sweet and calm and it was great for Moxie to have companions. If your dog is nervous, she has ways to keep them separated. I appreciated the daily updates, photos, and videos and reassurance so I could relax and enjoy my business trip. I will definitely leave Moxie in Debbie's care again.”

“Susan took amazing care of our dog and cats while we were out of town for 2 weeks. Each day she shared photos and a story of the day's events. It was a great way to keep us connected. Our pets all seemed to become attached to Susan. Our house was equally well cared for. It looked exactly as we left it. We would without hesitation have Susan pet and house sit for us again.”

About: I will treat your babies just like mine. I will take them to dog parks, on my boat, or adventures if you'd like and if theyre adventurous. I have lifejackets for all sizes. Also, I'm amazing with senior dogs if they just want to relax at home. Currently, my dog is 13 years old that I've had since she were puppy. The most important would be away from your pups are 4.5 hours. I own and run a boat tour business in the area. Most of my trips are 4 hours max. Whatever your rules are at your home is what I do. When I take them out on adventures I always keep them on leash unless it is gated. Even if they have recall, I don't chance that.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Laurel walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Laurel maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Laurel choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
