As I’m naturally an early bird, I tend to wake up at 7:00 - 7:30. I have had to wake up even earlier to head over to my neighbor’s house feed and care for dogs while they’re away. I prefer walking dogs twice a day unless the owner says otherwise. One walk in the morning and one in the evening. As for cats, I will usually scoop at least once every day, every morning. Though I may scoop even more if they go more often.

Since I don’t have my own car yet, I can only uber, walk, or have my mother drive me to people’s houses. Because of this I prefer house sitting, often for days at a time because I don’t have to go back and forth from one place to another.

A typical day
I love making sure that your pet is stimulated, content, and played with regularly. If there’s a dog park nearby I will for sure take them there! I love seeing dogs running around all free and happy. And for cats, I’ll play with them using any toys I can find. Even the most mundane objects such as toilet paper rolls and boxes can make for great toys!

Animals are my greatest passion. I have 4 years under my belt of experience watching dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. I am very good at ensuring all dogs are fed, hydrated, use the bathroom, and are played with often to ensure they aren’t bored. Alongside this, I take things such as medication, any health conditions, and the personal comforts of your animals very seriously. I have the most experience with small to medium sized dogs, but I am open to caring for large dogs as well.

Katelyn is by far the best sitter I’ve found for my girls (dog and cat)! She was incredibly diligent — probably more than I am, honestly — with their feeding, walks, and overall care. She also asked thoughtful questions whenever something was unclear, which I really appreciated. She proactively sent updates and pictures throughout the stay, which made me feel so much more at ease. My pets are very spoiled and spend a ton of time with me. It’s rare I find someone who seems to replicate that for me, but Katelyn sure did, and I joked about them not wanting me to come back. :) A true testament to her abilities is the fact that my cat — who is normally very skittish and takes several days to warm up to new people — was laying with her after just a day! I would certainly recommend Katelyn — she is kind, dependable, and communicative. Would definitely hire again. 12/10! ⭐️
This is my second time using Katey to watch my kitty, Nova. I dropped him off at her house and got lots of updates/pictures while I was gone which I appreciate! Definitely recommend using Katey if you are going out of town and have a pet. Thank you Katey!!
Katey was great!! She stayed at my apartment 3 nights to watch my kitty, Nova. I got lots of pictures along the way and I came back to my apartment better than how I left it. Would definitely use Katey again and recommend her to anyone with a pet. Thank you!!
Katey is a compassionate and thoughtful pet carer. She walked my dog weekly and took care of her when I traveled, and I never worried about her. Bebe was also a challenging rescue who wouldn't allow anyone but me to pick her up and had her own agenda on walks. Katey and Bebe developed a sweet rapport and Bebe trusted her. I used Katey's services regularly for about 2-3 years until Bebe passed.
