“Lindsay is an awesome dog sitter. I had to leave the state for a couple of weeks and was perfectly comfortable having my “kid” at her house. It’s nice because she works out of her home and do you know about the dog isn’t love for long periods of time. I will definitely use her again !”
About: I have had my own dogs for 20 plus years and have been a reliable and trusted sitter for different types of pets young and old. I will spend as much time as possible with your pet while they're in my care. I am generally available for last minute requests and am happy to visit your hotel or condo for pets on vacation! I strictly follow all owner rules to the best of my ability for your pet and home regarding time outdoors, safety, playing, meal times, discipline, and sleeping arrangements.
“I used Rover for the first time and was honestly a little skeptical because of past experiences. However, my original sitter had an emergency and recommended Rover, so I decided to give it a try. After reading countless reviews, I came across Alyssa and felt comfortable enough to book with her and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I met her, I felt at ease leaving my baby in her care. She was incredibly sweet, very communicative, and always responded promptly with pictures and videos whenever I checked in. What really stood out to me was how flexible and accommodating she was, especially since this was a last-minute booking she truly was a lifesaver. Most importantly, when I picked up my baby, she was so happy and comfortable. She didn’t seem anxious or like she was trying to rush out, which meant everything to me. I would absolutely book Alyssa again anytime I’m visiting Sarasota. Thank you so much, Alyssa!”

“Yogi loved staying with Asya! She constantly sent photos and videos of my pup playing, on walks, and hanging out with her kids. They live in a very safe and quiet neighborhood that is great for walks. I will be calling Asya again in the future for more bookings!”

About: I’ve had dogs for many years and have plenty of experience caring for different personalities, sizes and energy levels. Friends and family have trusted me to look after their pets over the years, and I truly enjoy creating a calm, safe and loving environment for them. I’m patient, attentive and responsible, and I understand how important routines, affection and supervision are for a dog’s well-being. I only take a limited number of dogs at a time so each pet receives personalized care and attention during their stay. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to give dogs plenty of attention, supervision and companionship throughout the day. I’m home most of the time and enjoy maintaining a calm and structured environment with regular walks, playtime and rest. I only take a limited number of dogs at a time so I can focus on each pet individually and make sure they feel comfortable, safe and well cared for during their stay. Your dog’s safety and comfort are very important to me. I provide a clean, calm and secure home environment and always supervise interactions carefully. I follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks and any special instructions from the owner. I prefer caring for well-behaved adult dogs and only accept a small number of pets at a time to ensure personalized attention and a low-stress environment for everyone.
“Sierra is excellent. She's professional and accommodating. She loves animals and will take great care of your pet. We highly recommend her and would definitely use her again in the future!”
“Lori was great with communicating and sending pictures of our dog throughout his stay. She took care of him like he was her own. We will definitely use Lori again!”

“Jessica is amazing and everything you want from someone to take care of our lovely furry friends. We boarded our 17 week old pup with Jessica and could not be happier with our decision. She is observant, caring, kind, flexible, and never failed to provide updates and communicate with us when our pup stayed with her. I highly recommend Jessica and would 1000% board with her again!”

“Audrey and Karson were awesome! They took such great care of our pup while we were away and made sure to send pictures and updates. We would be more than happy to have Boomer stay with them again!!”

“Very nice people. They took great care of my fur baby and kept me posted with text messages and pictures while they watched him over a three day period. Highly recommend!”

“Cyndee is so good with Lily! When I meet with Cyndee I thought yes she is ok. Because she is very loved for animals and Lily liked her. I was sure for my baby is in the good hand. And when I returned for drop off Lily I saw my baby is happy. I am very glad to Cyndee took for Lily. Thanks again for taking great care of my baby”

“We were thrilled with the level of love and attention our senior lab Cooper received during his stay with Tina. She was a super communicator and sent lots of great pictures and videos of his stay as well as gave thorough details of how he did while he was there. Bonus, Cooper's long lost twin is her dog Tahoe :) they had the best time together and should we have the need for a dog sitter for Cooper again, we won't hesitate to contact Tina. If I could give 10 stars I would! Thanks again :)”
“Crysta is incredible. Disco didn't even want to come home! She updated me constantly with the cutest photos of my pup getting tons and tons of love. She even stopped by to pick up his food and meds because I forgot them. Can't say enough good things!!! HIGHLY recommend her!!!”

Viktoryia is AMAZING!!! I couldn't be happier with how well she took care of our little Baby. My dog left happy and more relaxed leaving her place than when we dropped her off. Viktoryia has a great personality and it shows when you meet her. She obviously loves animals and loves caring for them. Do not look any further for someone else to watch your pet. You will not be disappointed. Thanks again to you and your family for taking such great care for our little girl. I'D GIVE 10 STARS IF I COULD!!! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
Our first time using Rover and boarding our 5 month puppy and everything worked out great. James and his wife along with their doggies all were awesome. We felt very comfortable leaving her with them. They clearly love animals and make your baby a part of their family. Alsi, they provided great tips on treats and training. Winnie clearly enjoyed herself and fell asleep on the way home.

Our 14 year old small terrier mix just spent 5 great days with Jewell. He is blind and mostly deaf so he's a special needs dog. Jewell welcomed him into her home, and he felt comfortable in his new surroundings the first day. We also appreciated the daily updates and photos.
Laura was wonderful. Sam had an amazing time while staying with her, and I really appreciated the updates and photos throughout her stay. It gave me great peace of mind knowing Sam was in such good hands. I would absolutely trust Laura with Sam again and wouldn’t hesitate to leave her with Laura in the future.

It was the first time we left Joy, but she had a great time. She was very happy and also made a friend. Bennett kept us informed all the time and sent us photos, which made us feel very calm. Joy came back happy and very well taken care of. Thank you so much, Bennett. You were very kind and patient with Joy. We would definitely leave her with you again. We recommend you 100%! 😊

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
