“Audrey and Karson were amazing with our dog, Panda! He’s over 100 pounds and a big, strong boy, but they handled him so well. Even though he’s almost 10 years old, he still acts like a puppy, and they were incredibly patient and attentive with him. They watched him for two nights, and we felt completely comfortable knowing he was in great hands. It’s not always easy finding someone confident with a large dog, but they exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely recommend Audrey and Karson and hope to use them again in the future!”

“Asya and her family did such an outstanding job taking care of my pups. She sent so many great pics and videos and I was so amazed at how my dogs were so integrated into her family. It is clear they were very well cared for. Definitely will use her again!”

“Kendall and Dre’ are wonderful sitters. We had used them in the past and this time did not disappoint. My pup, Dexter, feels so comfortable there and we feel comfortable leaving him with them. A bonus is their sweet dog, Zeus.”

“Our little 2 pound, 12 week old puppy stayed with Audrey and Joe for 4 days. He had so much fun playing with their pups. They sent pictures and videos and kept me updated on how he was doing. I highly recommend them and will not hesitate to use them again when we are in the area.”

“Debbie was wonderful. She took good care of my toy poodle and she was very communicative and always kept me up to date during my dogs stay. I would highly recommend as she will give you the best service”

“Thelma is the best. Beatrice does well in a home setting, feels safe, and doesn't come home stressed. I trust Thelma -- she treats Bea like one of her own. Highly recommend.”

“Sierra is excellent. She's professional and accommodating. She loves animals and will take great care of your pet. We highly recommend her and would definitely use her again in the future!”
“We had been booked for a longer stay but plans changed due to illness - Sharon was so gracious & let us modify the stay at the last minutes. My fur babies were taken care of very well!!”
About: I’m a certified Veterinary Technician with hands-on clinical experience, which sets me apart from most sitters who don’t have a medical background. I can recognize early signs of illness, injury, or distress that an untrained eye might miss — and I know how to respond calmly if something comes up. Specific skills I bring: • Medication administration — comfortable with oral and topical meds, including multi-pet or complex schedules • Senior pet care — experienced with mobility issues, medication timing, and the extra patience older pets need • Puppy care — house training reinforcement, socialization, and safe exercise for growing joints • Anxious or special-needs pets — calm, patient handling for pets who need extra reassurance • Health monitoring — tracking eating, energy, and bathroom habits so you get an accurate picture, not just “they’re fine Pet care is a consistent, reliable part of my week, not something squeezed in around other plans. Monday through Thursday, I’m available after 4:30 PM through 7 AM the next morning — perfect for evening walks, overnight stays, or early morning visits before your day starts. Friday through Sunday, I’m open all day and night, so weekend trips, full-day pet sitting, and last-minute weekend bookings are easy to accommodate. This schedule means your pet gets steady, dependable care on a routine they can count on — whether it’s a weekday evening walk after work or a full weekend of overnight sitting. Overnight & House Sitting I stay in your home so your pet keeps their normal routine, environment, and comfort — no stressful car rides or unfamiliar spaces. I follow their existing feeding, walk, and medication schedule exactly as you’d do it, and I spend real time with them (not just quick check-ins) so they get companionship, not just care. I also keep an eye on the house — bringing in mail/packages, watering plants, and making sure everything’s secure while you’re away. Dog Walking & Drop-In Visits I arrive on schedule and give your pet my full attention for the visit — fresh food and water, a walk or bathroom break, and playtime or affection depending on their energy level. For pets on medication, I handle that at the right time with the right dose. I always do a quick health/behavior check while I’m there, since my vet tech background means I notice things like changes in appetite, energy, or mobility. Every visit, regardless of service • Daily photo and video updates so you can see exactly how things are going • Care that matches their routine, not a one-size-fits-all approach • Attentiveness to health and behavior, not just supervision I don’t currently offer boarding in my own home — all my services take place at your home, so your pet stays in their own familiar space.

“Donna and Michael were exceptional pet sitters for our dog, Arizona. Their home is very inviting and almost designed perfectly for dogs. We truly felt Arizona was in a very safe place and with other dogs that were all gracious hosts and welcomed Arizona without it being overwhelming. We highly recommend them and will use them again in the future.”
“This was our first time using Alicia and our 11 year old dog had previously been going to another lady for several years. His first night with Alicia he was a little sad and unsure but he acclimated quickly. Alicia was very responsive to us when we reached out and made him feel safe and secure.”

About: I have trained my dogs since I was fourteen and have a love for pets. I don't work and live in a home with a large backyard so your pets will have my full attention. I have two friendly loving dogs I take care of who would love to have extra friends to play with. :) Sorry but no pit bulls or aggressive breeds will be accepted. Thank you for your understanding. I stay at home but of course may go out for groceries or a small amount of time to the gym. My doggies are well taken care of and spoiled and would love some furry friends to play with. My backyard provides a good area for bathroom breaks and is cleaned on a regular basis. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and bed and are an integral part of my daily life and routine. They are very loved and they know it! :) Bathroom breaks are frequent as I keep an eye on their needs and the water bowls are always clean and available for them.
“You won't find a better pet sitter than Linda and her husband Brian. They are devoted to their sweet girl Carmi, who plays so well with any dog they bring into their home. I have no worries when I leave Hank, other than she will be booked the next time I need her. 😍♥️”

“Marlena took great care of my 2 Black Labs during an extended weekend getaway. She was awesome about staying in touch with us and providing updates. She was very accommodating. I highly recommend using Ms. Marlena”

“Tina was great with my boy Iverson. She was extremely patient and understanding when it came to his puppy tendencies. She took a ton of pictures for me and gave me some great feedback on how he did during his stay overnight.”

“Betsy took care of our dog last minute, she is very passionate and professional and well prepared. Fully fenced in yard, toys at the ready, and she walked our dog daily. We received pictures multiple times a day, I felt extremely safe and confident with Penny in her care, we will be booking again!”

“Mylena is amazing! My dog Tessa has never been around children and let her know I was worried about that and she put me at ease the morning of drop off. This was my first time putting my animal in boarding before. Mylena texted me EVERY day with pics and updates. My heart broke leaving her for 2 weeks, but I knew she was in great hands. I will ALWAYS go back when I need a pet sitter. Thank youuuuu so much for making my girl feel right at home. Highly recommend!!!!!!!”

“This was our first time using a dog sitter and we were very nervous! I’m so thankful we found Misty! She took the time to meet Tank ahead of his stay and made sure we were comfortable with the arrangement. She took wonderful care of our dog. Even sent daily updates and pics which was very much appreciated. We were able to enjoy our vacation thanks to Misty’s great care she provided. We plan to use Misty again for sure!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sarasota
We had an amazing experience! She took such great care of our dog and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She sent daily updates and photos, which meant so much to us and let us know our pup was happy, safe, and well cared for. It was clear she truly loves animals and treated our dog like one of her own. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter. We will definitely be booking with her again!

Our 14 year old small terrier mix just spent 5 great days with Jewell. He is blind and mostly deaf so he's a special needs dog. Jewell welcomed him into her home, and he felt comfortable in his new surroundings the first day. We also appreciated the daily updates and photos.
Laura was wonderful. Sam had an amazing time while staying with her, and I really appreciated the updates and photos throughout her stay. It gave me great peace of mind knowing Sam was in such good hands. I would absolutely trust Laura with Sam again and wouldn’t hesitate to leave her with Laura in the future.

It was the first time we left Joy, but she had a great time. She was very happy and also made a friend. Bennett kept us informed all the time and sent us photos, which made us feel very calm. Joy came back happy and very well taken care of. Thank you so much, Bennett. You were very kind and patient with Joy. We would definitely leave her with you again. We recommend you 100%! 😊

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
