James and his wife were amazing! They took wonderful care of our pups Doc and Marty. It truly made us feel so good to know that they were treated just like we treat our dogs in our home.

While James was very nice in-person, his communication via text/Rover was not to my personal standard. When I reached out about booking, he said nothing other than “someone else wants these dates too whoever pays first gets it.” No questions about my dog or normal customer service. Because we were in a pinch and needed a more budget friendly boarding option (we usually go to a facility) I paid for the booking. I let him know my ETA to his house the first day and heard nothing back. When I arrived I introduced myself outside and he did not introduce himself or show me around (he seemed to be much more interested in my dog than talking to me which I guess is a good thing). I brought my crate for my dog as well as a bowl and other supplies and he told me he didn’t need them because he had his own and “all he needs is my dog’s food.” That would have been good information to know before packing and lugging it around, but this was not communicated. (Maybe I should have asked?? I don’t know) During my dog’s stay, I received very little communications. On the 2nd day of my trip, I had messaged multiple times AM-PM asking about my dog and received nothing. This worried me (I thought they were supposed to send photos/updates? When I was a sitter on Rover years ago this was the standard. I even requested photos in the booking request). I finally decided to call him in the evening to ask why my texts weren’t responded to and see how my dog was settling in. It was a very brief call of him telling me that my dog was playing with the other dogs and doing fine. I told him I had not received any responses and he said that he “thought he sent replies and may have forgot to hit send.” After that, I still did not receive a text or photos. The next day in the evening I requested photos of my dog. He sent 2 pictures and told me that he was dealing with an older sick dog. Those were the only photos I received the entire trip (6 days). Overall, my dog is alive and well and seems to have had a good time!! It was the first time I had left my youngest dog in a strangers home, and I wasn’t pleased with the lack of communications, photos, reponses, etc. I am not a crazy dog lady, but my dogs are my children and I would at least want a few more photos and a reply to my messages. Keep in mind if you’re anything like me.

My baby came back home very happy. I have no doubt she was spoiled when she was with James.

Our first time using Rover and boarding our 5 month puppy and everything worked out great. James and his wife along with their doggies all were awesome. We felt very comfortable leaving her with them. They clearly love animals and make your baby a part of their family. Alsi, they provided great tips on treats and training. Winnie clearly enjoyed herself and fell asleep on the way home.

James and his wife were terrific. The place was very welcoming and my senior old girl had a fun time.
