About: I have 3 dachshunds at home. Two are seniors and one is a puppy. I also cared for my senior cat up until she was 17. 🤍 My animals are my babies. At home, I am described as a helicopter parent...(always hovering) making sure they are happy & safe. I have pet experience with medical conditions such as IVDD, diabetes, cushings, asthma, etc. I am familiar with all of the poisonous plants, foods, toxins in your home and dangerous wildlife in our area. I take the safety of your baby seriously, just as if they were my own. I am new to creating a Rover profile, but not new to pet sitting. I've been watching friends, family & neighbor's fur kids since I was in high school. work from home as a social media manager, so my schedule is fairly flexible. I rarely am ever out of town (away from my kids)- so more than likely I can look after your kids! 🐾🐶🐱 I like to treat animals as if they were my own. How would I want a sitter to be with my baby? Kind, patient, fun, and always safe. I don't mind texting check-in photos or a short summary of my visit. I am easy to communicate with and will be happy to keep a routine and do my best to follow instructions for your kids.

Norah is truly the best! She goes above and beyond for our boys every single time. She even surprised them with their own balls for the dog park, which just shows how thoughtful and invested she is. Norah is always timely, incredibly communicative, and sends the best photos that clearly show how happy and well cared for our dogs are. We have total peace of mind knowing they’re with her. Thank you, Norah — we’re so grateful to have you!

About: I am a CPDT-KA certified, positive reinforcement dog trainer, and have worked in the professional pet care world for close to 20 years, with a lifetime love and heart for animals. I have spent the last few years doing private training lessons for dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages and breeds. I specialize in basic training, puppy training, family transitions (new baby, move, etc) as well as Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog training. Prior to that I worked for 7 years with a wonderful training group in the suburbs of Detroit where I not only taught and assisted with a variety of classes, I also worked in their dog walking and pet sitting department. In addition to that, my work history ranges from veterinary clinics, horse farms, dog daycares as well as shelter work and beyond. From a very young age I was drawn to and connected to animals and time always flew when I was beside them. I was that kid that would find stray cats to bring home, would knock on neighbors' doors and ask if I could walk their dog for free, and traded barn work for horse lessons as a young teen. I am so blessed to be working in a field that doesn't feel like work!! I am a full time mom and wife and part time dog trainer. I am happy to fit your pets' care into my daily routine and family's schedule. Please know my availability generally is around my kids' school schedule. My kids are very respectful and animal savvy, so if you are okay with them tagging along, that often opens up my availabilty more. I have cared for as well as owned a variety of animals with varying needs over the years. I understand and empathize the stress that can occur from having to leave your pet in the hands of someone else. I strive to make sure your pet is cared for with their individual needs, with lots of love, and most importantly your peace of mind while you are away for a day, a week, or longer. I treat my clients' pets with tender love and care like they were my own, just like how I would want my own pet to be cared for.

About: Your Pet's Home Away From Home with a Lifetime Animal Enthusiast I'd be honored to welcome your beloved pets into my home! My life has been devoted to animals, starting on a ranch where I gained hands-on experience with everything from horses, dogs, and cats to chickens and beyond. As a retired horse trainer and long-time dog breeder, I bring a wealth of knowledge in animal health, behavior, and communication. I've personally trained service dogs for mobility, and I'm passionate about helping dogs overcome behavioral challenges. With your permission, I can address specific training needs your dog might have, such as potty training, leash manners, or breaking other bad habits, ensuring their time with me is both enjoyable and productive. Rest assured, your pets will be treated as cherished members of my family during their stay. Our home is a calm, adult-only environment, providing a peaceful and safe space for your companions. I'm available at anytime to make sure your pet is well taken care of. I have dedicated my life to animals and I love it. With many years of dedicated experience across a diverse range of animals, I offer exceptional pet care grounded in health, compassion, and understanding. My extensive background includes not only general animal well-being but also specialized expertise in handling animals with specific needs and successfully training dogs and other animals through positive methods. We do not have any small children or any children. Just adults that love animals. I'm committed to ensuring every pet under my care feels loved, safe, and comfortable. My flexible availability means I can accommodate your pets' schedules and individual requirements at any time. Pets always have fresh water and are fed as scheduled by the pet owner. We do board cats and they are kept in a seprate area of our home. We have a very large lani and pool and a small dog pool available for your pets. Your pets will never be unsupervised when they are in our pool area. I have a very large screened in lani that the dogs can run and play in. I do have a small fenced area for little dogs. I do not leave the dogs outside unattended due to risk of over heating, escaping, cane toads, poisonous snakes and fire ants. I walk the dogs as many times as they need to, to go potty. I've been told by multiple pet parents that other sitters just put their dogs out in a yard unsupervised and their dogs were attacked by other dogs. I'm always supervising your dogs.

We were visiting family in Sarasota and last minute needed a dog walker for the day. Christine was available the night before and walked our dog twice for us while we were gone all day. She sent us photos of both walks which was great. Highly recommend and will use her again if we are back in Sarasota with our dog!

Norah has been an absolute gem as our dog walker. From day one, she has taken spectacular care of our dogs, treating them with so much love and attention as if they were her own. She consistently went above and beyond, she even surprised them with new toys, which meant so much to us and clearly made our boys so happy. One of the things we appreciated most was how reliable she was. We could always count on Norah to be on time or she would communicate with us if she needed to make adjustments to the times of their walks, which gave us such peace of mind. And the biggest sign of her dedication? Coming home to two very tired (and very happy) pups every time. Proof that she truly spent quality time walking, playing, and engaging with them. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and genuinely passionate about animals, I cannot recommend Norah enough. She’s simply the best for your dog care needs!

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
