“Layla has a wonderful experience with Kimber. Layla has some special needs and Kimber was attentive a loving. Layla was so happy when I picked her up. Tha k you Kimber!!”

“Robin eagerly welcomed my best little friend into her lovely home and kept me posted on how he was doing throughout the day. She is very kind and attentive. Highly recommend!”

“I book with Joyce for day care once or twice a week.Joyce is very loving and caring. My puppers is excited to see her. His tail wags like crazy. She sends me pics through out the day and let's me know how he's doing. Highly recommend Joyce.”

“Sophie's daycare time with Connie went perfectly. Sophie was happy on arrival and, though happy on my return to pick her up, seemed totally content to stay if she needed to. Connie's home is clean and as well-cared for as her canine clients. I'm so glad I found her on Rover and highly recommend her services.”

“Teri is wonderful. She is one of the best sitters I have found on Rover. She was quick to respond, very friendly, and sweet and sent me pictures and updates throughout the day. She has a good heart, I can tell. Her husband, Ken enjoyed having Bella there, too. He talked to her and gave her treats. He used to have a Bella. They said, Bella is welcome back anytime. Even said that she would be Bella's Grandma #2! They treated her like she was their own. We will be going back, we are actually going back today for day camp and we will be boarding with her. We love our Bella and will not leave her with just anyone. With them, we do not have to worry about her at all. We are originally from Tennessee and still have family there. So, I like to have several people that I can rely on to watch Bella, just in case we have a family emergency. We rescued that loan when she was 5 months old and she has been socializing since she is a four-year-old Goldendoodle, and she has a lot of energy so, she does well with going to day camp twice a week, sometimes three times. Teri will definitely be my go to! It's rate them a 10 🌟, if I could. Thank y'all so much!!”

“Fantastic place and person to leave your pet. Marcela loves and takes special care of each of her day care pets. There is a big yard about 3 acres for your pet to run around with there fellow day care residents.”

About: I have grown up with dogs, my entire life and love taking care of them. I will treat yours like my own, and be diligent to be aware of its unique desires and needs. I am home most of the time, so I will have plenty of time to take care of your furry friend! If your pet is a fan of walks, I would love to take them on however many they would be okay with! I provide a safe a comfortable environment for your furry one. I live in a great neighborhood that is dog walking friendly. We have a sweet lab who is welcoming to all of the dogs that we sit for.
About: I have had dogs and cats in my family all my life and absolutely love them. I love to get outside and make them active, happy, and healthy. I am looking to pick up extra work and I love animals so if I am available I would love to care for your pet. I am very active and love to play with dogs outside. I would of course always be very careful with pets on a leash and would follow any specific instructions given.
About: I've owned dogs & cats my entire life. I helped in my brother's kennel, caring for & cleaning up after pitbulls, so "scary" dog breeds don't seem scary to me. :) I have cared for senior cats & dogs. I have experience in giving both medication, orally & topically. I have 8+ years of personal experience with rats, so I am more then happy to work with rodents & other small mammals! I have plenty of experience cleaning cages. I have experience caring for senior rats, as well as giving oral & topical medications. I have experience keeping freshwater fish. I know how to do water changes, replace filter cartages, vacuum gravel, comb sand, test water parameters, ect. I do not own birds, however, I have pet sat with them before. I currently pet sit for a caique & a macaw regularly. I have experience cleaning cages. I do not have experience giving birds any medication. I have limited experience with reptiles & invertebrates, however, I do not fear any of them. I am willing to learn how to care for both. Pet care is mostly what I do! I live with 4 cats, rats, and fish - If I am not caring for my pets at home, I am caring for pets in another home! I do pet/house sitting for four dogs and two birds at least once a month. I am comfortable staying overnight in a clients house, and if the animals need around the clock care, I can stay in-home without issue. When it comes to caring for other people's pets, I like following their instructions best! I love having rules, times, ect listed out for me. Does your pooch need breakfast at 7am sharp, with a sprinkle of cheese and 30 seconds in the microwave? Does your bird like to watch a sitcom before bed? Does your kitty NEED their favorite pillow fluffed in the evening? Does your older puppy relax best with a warmed up blanket? Well, just let me know and I'll try my very hardest to make sure your best friends are comfortable while you're away. Being away from one another is hard, both on the pets and their loving owners, so I enjoy sending photos of our fuzzy friends to their people.
“I found out the day before that I needed a sitter for my 8 month old, yet to be neutered, tank of a puppy, Apollo. Having previously left him with only family members, and only a handful of times, we were a little nervous. When we first got there, Apollo immediately seemed to feel comfortable, not even looking back at me. I received photos a few hours in, and when it was time to pick him up, Apollo was trying to climb into a lap (he’s 75 lbs), and was being praised as a love, cuddle bug! Overall positive, seamless experience and I would book again.”

“Taylor was amazing with our puppy Gus! Her adult lab was calm and great with him as well. Taylor sent regular updates & pictures throughout the day. We’ll be going back regularly for doggy daycare!”

About: My husband & I had a wonderful time with our beloved dogs over the past 16 years. Unfortunately our two seniors recently passed. Both of us grew up with dogs and can’t imagine a life without them, which means we have lots of love and time to give to your furrbabies. We just adopted a very sweet puppy. Peppa does not bark and gets along very well with other dogs. She is very gentle, and sometimes shy, but also very nosy and can’t wait to play with her new friends. We will make sure to do anything we can to make your Puppies as comfortable and happy as our Peppa during their stay with us. We only take one client at the time and up to 3 dogs max from the same household. 🐾 I am home 24/7, which means your furrbaby would never be alone and I can always make sure your pet is happy, loved and safe. We have a large, fully fenced yard that will give your puppy a lot of room to run and play in between walks. Our first priority is that your pet is safe and feels loved. We have used Rover frequently our selves in the past for our doggies, so we know how important it is to know, that your puppy is happy and safe while you are away. We will update with pictures and videos so you can relax and do not have to worry.
“Highly recommend Floyd and Connie! Very nice, friendly couple. They are great about sending pics/giving updates and it was very apparent that our Maxi had a great time. You can’t go wrong with entrusting your fur baby with them.”

About: Since our cocker spaniel has passed , I started watching and boarding many dogs within my neighborhood. I love animals , so your fur babies will be treated with respect and love !!! They will be in the safest care with me. I’m currently working from home so your furbaby will always have a companion to spend time with while your gone. They will be in good care. I take this very seriously as they will be treated as my own. I have a very nice neighborhood that’s dog friendly and has nice sidewalks to walk on. The environment is very safe and I also have a nice backyard that your pet can play in, as well my own home that is cozy and your pet would feel safe in.
“Ana was amazing! We met her a couple days before and she and her dog Lex immediately connected with our pup, and then this morning when we went to drop our pup off, she happily trotted in the house to meet Lex instead of freaking out like she normally does when we leave her! She had a great day, we got a bunch of pictures, and she was clearly very happy when we picked her up. Very glad to have found Ana!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
