About: I’ve been around animals my entire life. I grew up with cats, and after college I helped raise and care for two Golden Retrievers and a Golden Retriever puppy, giving me six years of hands-on experience with dogs through every stage of life from puppyhood through their senior years. Two of my dogs battled cancer, which gave me significant experience caring for pets with more complex needs, including medication management, monitoring changes in behavior and comfort, and providing the extra patience and attention an ailing or senior pet may require. I also cared for one of my dogs through leg surgery, including both pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery and activity restrictions. Because of those experiences, I’m especially comfortable caring for puppies, senior dogs, and pets who need medications or a little extra attention. I understand how stressful it can be to leave a pet with someone else, especially when they have additional care needs, so I’m attentive to each owner’s instructions and their pet’s normal routine. I’ll treat your pets with the same care and affection I’ve given my own and am happy to provide plenty of photos and updates while you’re away. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, so pet care fits easily into my day. I’m home throughout the day and can accommodate a wide variety of schedules, including frequent walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, medications, and plenty of attention. I’m also flexible with drop-off and pick-up times and can adapt my routine to what your pet is accustomed to at home. I have a quiet, pet-friendly home with no other animals, so your pet will receive plenty of individual attention and won’t have to adjust to unfamiliar pets. My home also has a fenced, screened-in backyard area for safe outdoor time and potty breaks. We know how important it is to your pets to give them the proper attention and play they deserve. I’ve grown up with rabbits, cats, and dogs. My first job in 5th grade was walking “Mike” the dog daily and I’ve continued to care for other pets over the years. I work throughout the week with flexibility to walk pups in the morning and evening. Weekends completely off to go on adventures with your fur baby. We love traveling to parks, dog beaches, and even for pup cups! I have a fenced in yard with artificial grass that dogs love to spend time sun bathing. A doggy pool so they can cool down in the Summer’s heat. A large dog park minutes away by foot so your loved one can socialize and run around with other dogs as well. If they choose not to do a dog park then plenty of space to be walked around the neighborhood taking in fresh scents.
