About: Hi! I'm Jade, and I provide attentive, home-based care designed to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while their families are away. I share my home with my sweet dog, Zoey, and three cats, so animals are part of our everyday life. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to learn what helps each guest feel secure. I work for myself from home, which allows me to be present throughout the day for supervision, companionship, potty breaks, playtime, and affection. My husband and our 13-year-old son also live here, so boarding takes place in a real family home rather than a high-volume kennel environment. I intentionally limit the number of boarding and daycare dogs I accept. This allows me to provide more personal attention, maintain a calm and structured environment, and avoid treating dogs like just another booking. My rates reflect the low-volume, hands-on care and supervision each guest receives. Because this is also my pets' home, their safety and comfort will always be a priority. That does not mean visiting pets receive any less love or attention - It means I am careful about accepting dogs who can comfortably and safely share our household. Making sure everyone is a good fit is essential to creating a peaceful, successful stay for both my pets and yours. Low-to-moderate-energy dogs are generally the best fit for our home. Playful dogs are absolutely welcome, but they should also be able to settle, relax, and respect another dog's need for space. Very high-energy dogs who require constant activity or intense play may be happier with a sitter whose home and resident pets are better matched to that energy level. Boarding and Daycare Requirements For the safety and comfort of my family, resident pets, and visiting dogs, new boarding and daycare guests must: • Be spayed or neutered unless an exception has been discussed and approved in advance. • Sleep through the night without requiring constant human supervision. • Arrive with a secure, appropriately sized crate that they are able to settle comfortably and safely in. • Be comfortable and safe around dogs, cats, men, and children. • Be able to play appropriately, respect boundaries, and settle calmly between activities. • Be free of fleas and ticks and current on appropriate preventative care. • Arrive clean and reasonably groomed, with their coat, skin, paws, and nails properly maintained. • Have no history of aggression, unsafe behavior, or persistent conflict with other animals. I am not the right fit for dogs with severe separation anxiety who cannot settle when left alone briefly, require someone to remain in the room with them at all times, bark or cry continuously, or need complete isolation from other pets. These requirements are not meant to exclude dogs simply for having individual needs. They help me determine whether my home environment can safely and comfortably provide the kind of care your dog deserves. Honest communication about behavior, energy levels, routines, medical needs, and previous boarding experiences is essential. Drop-Off and Pick-Up Hours My standard drop-off and pick-up hours are 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Keeping arrivals within a predictable window helps maintain a calm routine for my family, resident pets, and boarding guests. Requests outside these hours must be discussed before booking and may not always be available. Please plan to arrive within the agreed-upon time window. Walks and Drop-In Visits In addition to boarding and daycare for dogs, I offer dog walks and drop-in visits for both dogs and cats. Visits may include exercise, potty breaks, fresh food and water, medication when discussed in advance, litter box care, playtime, companionship, and care based on your pet's normal routine. I also send photo updates so you can see how your pet is doing. I especially enjoy caring for cats through drop-in visits. Whether your cat wants constant attention or prefers to observe me suspiciously from across the room, I'm happy to follow their lead and respect their comfort level. I'm dependable, communicative, and serious about providing safe, thoughtful care. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone, and I do not take that responsibility lightly. I look forward to learning more about you and your best friend! My schedule is generally flexible with advanced notice, and because I work for myself from home, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I'm home throughout the day and can provide regular supervision, companionship, potty breaks, meals, playtime, walks, and plenty of time to rest. My standard drop-off and pick-up hours are 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM to help keep everyone's day and routine running smoothly. If you need an earlier or later time, please ask before booking, and I'll do my best to accommodate it when I'm available. My home is a calm, pet-friendly environment where dogs receive attentive care, structure, affection, and plenty of time to rest. Boarding and daycare guests are included in our daily routine while still receiving care based on their individual feeding, potty, exercise, and comfort needs. Because I have a resident dog and three cats, ensuring that every guest is a safe and comfortable fit is essential. My dog is dog-friendly, and my cats are comfortable with respectful dogs but prefer not to share their home with unfamiliar cats, so I only offer boarding and daycare for dogs. For walks & drop-in visits, I follow your pet's usual routine as closely as possible. Depending on the service, care may include exercise, potty breaks, feeding, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, affection, and photo updates. I prefer bookings with advance notice whenever possible so I can plan appropriately and give each pet the attention and consistency they deserve.

About: Growing up, I’ve always been and loved being around dogs, whether they were my neighbors, friends, or my own! I have years of experience taking care of pups of all sizes, and i’m a proud chocolate lab/pitbull mix owner! Before graduating college, I used to volunteer at the humane society every month, which is where I adopted my own, Cooper! I am currently working part-time, and available during the week, but can still pup sit on the weekends if necessary! My schedule is very flexible!! I love long dog walks to stay active, and I do have a lab that loves other dogs, but prefer to pup sit at the clients’ houses

AJ has been walking both of our cane corsos for a few months - they are large and one of them takes a while to warm up to people. Through the whole process he has been patient, kind, and respectful and has gained the full trust and friendship of my big pups. He goes out of his way to make them comfortable and they just LOVE his walks, visits, and belly rubs. I couldn’t recommend AJ more.

About: Hi! I’m Nikki. I’ve lived with dogs of all sizes my whole life and have been providing pet care for several years. I’m a true dog enthusiast who also studies canine behavior and training—so I don’t just “watch” dogs, I focus on keeping them safe, relaxed, and set up for success while they’re with me. I’m experienced with puppies, adult dogs, and seniors, and I’m comfortable supporting basic manners and routine-based training during a stay (sit, down, leash manners, calm greetings, etc.). I’m also very familiar with crate training and can help keep your dog’s home routine consistent—whether they’re crated at night, have structured rest breaks, or need extra support settling in a new environment. My goal is simple: your dog feels secure, enriched, and cared for—and you feel confident they’re in good hands. Pet care is a consistent part of my weekly routine. I’m home most of the day and plan my schedule around feeding, potty breaks, walks, and supervised outdoor time. I’m able to accommodate most drop-off/pick-up times with a little notice, and I keep dogs on a structured daily routine. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a securely fenced front and back yard for safe outdoor time, and dogs are always supervised and brought inside as needed (weather, energy level, or comfort). My home is structured and calm. I can offer private time and separation at any point, and I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routines and boundaries. Dogs can sleep crated, in a safe room, or in another arrangement you prefer. I also have two stable, friendly medium-sized dogs. If your dog enjoys social time, we can do carefully managed introductions and supervised play. If your dog prefers space—or does best as a solo guest—I can absolutely accommodate that too. I’m attentive to body language, stress signals, and anxiety, and I aim to make your dog’s stay peaceful and predictable.

Nigel carried my "baby" home the other day because she couldn't make it back on her own. He let me know and checked back in with between visits to see if she was ok. I knew Nigel was special since he began helping me with my dog but he went above and beyond, carrying a 65 pound pit bull home instead of dragging her and using harsh commands. I'm so glad I found him! He is truly a gift.

About: I’m a dogs best friend, I like walking and being outside as much as they do! I grew up in a dog household and then began caring for dogs in clients homes for over 15 years now. I’ve taken care of 5 dogs, 5 cats and 15 rabbits at one time in one household before! I’ve never trained my own pets but I’ve assisted with training by enforcing the clients training commands and wishes. Im in good shape and can hike or go for extra long walks if you have an active animal. I’ll love and treat your dog as if it were my own. I think dogs are the best listeners and I love to mirror their unconditional love. I have several references to put you in contact with per request. I have a flexible schedule right now and would love to fill my open hours with pet visits and dog walking. I’m often available for last minute bookings. I have a fully fenced in backyard available for your dog to run. I do not have my own crates so a crate would need to be provided if necessary.

Woof! Hi, it’s me, Lucy. I am using my hooman’s phonr (don’t ask how) because I simply must leave a review for my Rover sitter, Jenna. First of all, when my hooman left, I thought “oh no…”. But the Jenna walked in, smelled like treats, sunshine, and someone who definitely knows how to scratch behind my ears properly. Jenna walked me and even threw the ball for me at the park! I even got a belly rub when we got back. Now that is service! Can’t wait for Jenna to walk me again! A++++

We have loved working with Jordan! She really goes the extra mile when taking care of my pup. He is typically timid with new walkers but she knows exactly how to make him comfortable. Also wonderful communicating when she will be getting there and all details of the visit.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
