“Was very impressed by their facilities and the level of care they gave my pup. Kind people, Super fast communication, received multiple videos that made us happy and at ease to see how he was doing at different times throughout the day! He was definitely in good hands and next time we need a sitter, we will be back here, no doubt! Thank you!”

“Anubis is always happy when he's at Miriam’s place. He bursts in with so much joy and seems to forget I exist. That’s how I know she’s a great sitter. The dog’s attitude toward her environment doesn’t lie.”

“Buddy loved it at Trevor‘s house more than any other sitter he’s been with since we’ve been in Tampa. I think Trevor is his favorite so I will definitely be bringing him back. He took excellent care of buddy.”

“Brenda lee has a really sweet personality and you can tell she loves animals! Our mini golden doodle, Annie, spent the day with her and has made a new friend. We recommend her and Annie will spend time with her again soon!”

“Janet is the perfect person to give both myself and my little doxie a change of scenery! Since she takes small dogs, Honey is perfectly comfortable at Janet's house, and she loves playing with the other dogs. Janet is very knowledgeable about dogs, and has made a few good recommendations to me regarding food, vets, etc. I'm so glad to have a place to leave Honey for a day or for a week, and feel she is happy and safe!”

“It’s our first time leaving our dogs, and had no worries since they would send pictures and text to let us know how they were doing. I would highly recommend pet sitting and boarding with them.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a great experience with this sitter! She took amazing care of Aspen over the two days and kept me updated, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Aspen can be a little particular at times, but she was very patient, attentive, and made sure she was comfortable. When I picked her up, Aspen was relaxed, happy, and clearly well taken care of. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. I would definitely book again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy sit”

About: I have been working for almost 21 years as a dog trainer and neighbors and friends have relied on me to walk, feed , grooming, bathe, profilaxis dental with out anesthesia, boarding and daycare their dogs in my house. I am currently full time, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups. I am available for boarding on Weekdays and weekends. I have a safe fence yard, a dog house and two friendly dogs to keep your baby company. I can easily crate your dog if you need due my experience as Dog Trainer for 21 year .
About: I work from home and have a small dog. We are the best company for your pet! I have dealt with dogs since 2018 and the treatment I give to anyone else’s pet is the same that I expect when people watch over mine. We love cuddling, watching tv, going on walks and dog parks. I work from home, so my schedule can be very flexible! I can also work from your home if you prefer keeping your pet where they feel the safest. I live in a townhouse, and have a very nice dog park nearby and lots of places to go on walks. If I go to your home I’ll do my best to keep your pet in their normal routine to help and ease up the anxiety of being away from their owners.
“They really went above and beyond to make sure Lilo was taken care of and to make sure the other dogs there were careful with him. He can be a handful sometimes with his mobility issues and especially with playing in his water bowl and drinking/peeing too much so I really appreciate that they kept a good eye on him.”
“Anthony was great. Our dog went right to him. Anthony took him on walks and tried to get him to eat (even though we knew he wouldn’t eat without us there). So accommodating. Anthony was home with the dogs the whole time. No time limit. Definitely will go back when we’re in the area.”

About: I grew up with dogs and they were my best friends. Now I have a huge house with a screened backyard, dogs can run around and have fun. I don’t use crate. I have small and big dog beds if you can’t provide one with no charge. Dogs are also welcome to sleep with me in my bed too. I am currently a full time student, my class is remote so I have time to cook and walk dogs per client request. For me taking care of dogs is not work but a pleasure. I have screened backyard and anywhere outside of the house I will make sure the leash is on. Their safety is my priority. They always have clean water and food. I usually wash dog bowl daily.
“I love Patricia set up, she is very good with the dogs. Her home is perfect. Her backyard her whole set up and how detailed she is with. Really taking care of them. I won’t take my dog anywhere else. Highly recommend Patricia.”

About: I have always had a dog or multiple dogs in my life and in my home. Right now, I have a 1 year old mixed breed (lab/catahoula shepherd) named Roo, and she is the most loving dog I have ever had! I would love to help take care of your best friend when you need some in-town help! I have kids at home, but I always have care arranged for them when I go out to do walks/drop ins so they don’t come with me on visits. I will treat your pets like they are my own, and I will be happy to make any special arrangements that will make you feel comfortable! I consider it a privilege to take care of anyone’s pet and will give yours plenty of kindness and affection! I’m home full time with my kids and our own dog so we are always around for walks, play sessions in the backyard, and general fun. We have a large fenced in yard for dogs to run around and we have 1 dog of our own who is incredibly friendly and loves other dogs and people.
“She’s absolutely amazing. My babies loved her! She’s very informative and caring. I love that she kept me posted on their wellbeing and progress throughout the day while I was out working. Definitely recommend her as future use of service.”

“Iyorima was amazing! Jin loved her and got used to her fairly quickly. I get paranoid pretty easily and she understood and sent me photos and text messages about Jin to calm me down. Jin was a happy boy when he was there and that’s all I care about.”

“Lola had so much fun with Elaine and Jeff! I got pictures and even a video of Lola playing with her new friends. It was great! Lola didn't want to leave (though she was ready for a good nap). Thank you for the wonderful doggie daycare!!”

Anthony has been amazing with Hazel, our puppy! He’s always communicative, friendly, and clearly cares a lot about the dogs he watches. Hazel always comes home happy and exhausted from all the playtime during the day. We were looking for a smaller, home-based place that only takes a few dogs at a time, and Anthony’s setup is exactly what we wanted. We also love that they don’t use crates. We feel very comfortable leaving her there and highly recommend him! Definitely we’ll be back

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Lutz commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
