“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I want to express my gratitude to Giovani for taking care of our fur babies, Sky and Sunny, on such short notice! We brought them to his place, and they settled in beautifully. Giovani was welcoming and attentive, ensuring they felt at home. It was great to see them playing and enjoying their time there. I knew they were in safe hands, which eased my mind while I was away. Highly recommend Giovani for pet-sitting—he truly cares about the animals! Thank you again!”
“First time with Brittany and we knew she would be perfect for our family. Shelby loves her, and has freedom to roam the house and yard as well as someone who plays with her as opposed to just watching. We’re very happy and have already booked a 3 day boarding as we know she’ll be in great hands when we’re out of town.”

“Janet is the perfect person to give both myself and my little doxie a change of scenery! Since she takes small dogs, Honey is perfectly comfortable at Janet's house, and she loves playing with the other dogs. Janet is very knowledgeable about dogs, and has made a few good recommendations to me regarding food, vets, etc. I'm so glad to have a place to leave Honey for a day or for a week, and feel she is happy and safe!”

“Latte always receives kind and gentle care from Desiree. Could not recommend her more!!! I always enjoy seeing him play with her own two dogs, they seem to get along great 😊”

“Trevor did an outstanding job looking after my puppy! He not only kept me updated with awesome photos and regular updates throughout the day but also ensured my pup returned to me squeaky clean! My puppy was worn out and seemed to have the best day with Trevor. I couldn't be more pleased with his exceptional care!”

About: I have experience in my own home caring for 3 large dogs and a Maine Coon. I’ve had my animals for about 5 years now. I also have experience caring for friends and families animals, as well as experience volunteering with the humane society. I’ve recently started pet sitting here in tampa, and I love to care for and help animals! I am available all day everyday including holidays! I can do any of my services on any date or time and I take last minute bookings depending on the service! I walk my dogs multiple times a day as well as i clean out my cats litter box twice a day to avoid any odor. I enjoy taking the animals outside to play, and I have indoor cat toys I use for my cat since she’s a runner! I also feed all the animals twice a day, and go on runs with my more active dogs as often as possible!

“Debra is just amazing!! I was so nervous to leave my pup for the first time and she did everything to ease my mind. I will for sure be brining Ellie Mae back for the day! Thank you Debra!!”

“My dog had an amazing day, when we picked her up she was happy and full of energy, throughout the day, Keith sent us pictures and a message of how her day was going. We are very satisfied. We'll be booking again! :)”

“Anubis attended Daycare with Miriam for 4 days. She treated him very well and he was always excited to see her. He had the opportunity to play with other dogs and sunbathe. She is a great dog sitter and I highly recommend.”

“Loved the dedication and attention to care for each dog. Glad she was able to help my dog get more socializing skills/experience. I also loved the video updates she would send me. Overall happy with the whole experience”

About: I’m a stay at home mom with lots of time, attention, and love to give your pups. Dogs have always been a big part of my life and I love getting to know their personalities, routines, and little quirks. I’m happy to provide a calm, welcoming home where they can relax and feel at ease while you’re away :) I’m home most of the day with my son, so your pup will have plenty of company and attention throughout their stay. I'm able to take them out for longer walks if needed, provide exercise and play, and cuddles! :) We live in a calm, pet-friendly community with plenty of grassy areas for walks and a fenced dog park. Your pup’s safety is a priority, and I take the time to learn their personality, needs, and levels of comfort.
About: I love being around and playing with dogs. I will make sure to take the upmost care while being with your furbaby when you’re away. Rest assured that your dog will be having a great time at home while you are out. I look forward to hearing from you soon. I have a pretty open schedule that allows time to come and visit with your pet whenever works best for them. Keep me posted and I typically can help whether it’s early morning or late at night. I would prefer to come to your home to meet your dog where they are most comfortable. I am able in some cases to keep them at my house as well. Open to discussing you and your pets needs.
“Thank you Samantha and family for welcoming our 4-month-old puppy, Chewy, into your home! He was happy, well cared for, and came home tired from lots of playtime. We really appreciated the updates and feel so comfortable leaving him in such good hands. Highly recommend! 🐾”

“Donna is absolutely amazing with my dog!!! She treats him like her own. I know that I don’t have to worry when he is with her. She takes him on walks, and keep me updated on his activity. Not to mention multiple pictures and videos. We love and appreciate you Donna!!!”

About: I work from home and have a small dog. We are the best company for your pet! I have dealt with dogs since 2018 and the treatment I give to anyone else’s pet is the same that I expect when people watch over mine. We love cuddling, watching tv, going on walks and dog parks. I work from home, so my schedule can be very flexible! I can also work from your home if you prefer keeping your pet where they feel the safest. I live in a townhouse, and have a very nice dog park nearby and lots of places to go on walks. If I go to your home I’ll do my best to keep your pet in their normal routine to help and ease up the anxiety of being away from their owners.
“I knew I left Mason in excellent care!! Tahrena and family greeted us with such warmth I know Mason felt welcomed. Thank you so much Tahrena and family, I know Mason had an awesome day.”

About: I’m very comfortable around dogs and genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I have my own well-trained and socialized dog, and I’ve also worked with dog trainers, so I have experience with basic training, reinforcing commands, leash manners, and encouraging good behavior. I’m patient, attentive, responsible, and I always follow each owner’s instructions and their dog’s usual routine. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care. I’m available on weekdays and weekends and can adjust my availability depending on your pet’s routine and needs. Safety and comfort are always my priority. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, routines, medications, and house rules. I keep pets supervised, make sure their environment is clean and secure, and always pay attention to their individual behavior and needs.
About: Animals are my absolute passion, and I have a lot of hands-on experience keeping dogs and puppies of all sizes happy, safe, and loved. Through active volunteering and fostering, I’ve developed great instincts when it comes to animal routines and behavior. While I adore adult dogs, I have a massive soft spot for puppies! My foster background means I am completely comfortable with high energy, strict potty schedules, teething, and crate training. I also have a lot of experience raising young kittens and bottle babies. Because I have my own gentle dog and sweet cats at home, I specialize in taking care of dogs, puppies, and friendly young kittens who get along well with other animals. I'll treat your pets just like family! I am a college student and am currently not working, so my schedule is highly flexible. I have open availability night and day right now to give your pets undivided attention. Because I have plenty of free time, I can easily stick to your pet's exact feeding, medication, or potty routines without any distractions. I prefer boarding pets at my place so I can keep a close eye on them. I live in a large, green apartment community with a big retention pond and on-site dog parks for great walks. My home is shared with my large, incredibly gentle dog, Teddy, and my two very sweet, dog-like cats who love company. Because of my household setup, I am only able to board dogs, puppies, or young kittens who get along well with other animals. I want to ensure every pet stays completely safe, comfortable, and stress-free while staying with us
About: I have owned dogs since I was a little girl. I have doggie doors at my house that lead out to a large fenced back yard. I work from home and love taking dogs for small walks on my break or just sitting out back with them. We have doggie doors so they can have access any time or I can close them and keep them inside. I dog kennel my Abby when I leave the house but only because she is older and has had small accidents recently. I have doggie doors leading to a fenced in large back yard.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cheval
three dogs—Buddy, Lexi, and Bentley! This was the very first time I had ever left them in someone else's care, so I was naturally a little nervous. Donna made the entire experience so much easier. She kept me updated with pictures throughout the day, which gave me so much peace of mind and let me see how happy and comfortable they were. She is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and truly loves animals. She made sure they were fed, spent time playing with them, took them outside to enjoy the backyard, and even made cozy beds for them to rest. It was obvious they were treated like part of her family. When I picked them up, they were happy, relaxed, and clearly had a wonderful time. As soon as we got home, all three of them went straight to bed—they were completely exhausted from a fun-filled day! I can't thank Donna enough for taking such wonderful care of my babies. I would trust her with them again without hesitation, and I know Buddy, Lexi, and Bentley are already looking forward to seeing her again. I highly recommend Donna to anyone looking for a caring, dependable, and loving pet sitter! I think this kind of review would really stand out on Rover because it describes not only what Donna did, but also how safe and well cared for your dogs were.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
