“Adrianna was very punctual and kind. She followed all instructions in detail and got along very well with Bruno, which is worth mentioning since they had never met before. It was a great experience overall. I highly recommend Adrianna.”

About: An FFA (Future Farmers of America) member who helped with our doggy daycare program for a year ranging from medium to small dogs. I also regularly volunteer at Humane Society caring for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, bunnies etc. I have plenty of experience with dogs and cats of all ages! As a full-time college student, I make sure to be able to focus my time on caring for your furbabies! Please contact me so we can schedule around my classes! I highly recommend a meet and greet so the pet(s) gets used to me and I get an idea of their personality. I will also do a quick briefing on any health problems I should know before hand, certain procedures that are common place for your pet to ensure they're comfortable with me and make sure we are on the same page for care.
“Jamie is absolutely amazing! My dog absolutely adores her and she goes above and beyond to provide the best care. She is great at communicating and is incredibly professional. We have used her for dog walking services and I can't recommend her enough!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, hamsters, chickens, bunnies, guinea pigs and birds! I love animals and have been pet sitting for over ten years and hopefully many more. My vast experience with different species of pets helps me to adapt and problem solve in any situation. I’m happy to communicate with you and help care for your pets! I am a college graduate and I currently have one dog with my family; she is the highlight of our lives! We make sure she is in good health with her diet and veterinary visits. I have cared for many pets for my friends, family and neighbors throughout the years. I love to see animals thriving in their environment and when responsible, help out with that to the best of my abilities. In our home our porch is screened in for our dog to go outside and sunbathe, we take her for walks, and have specific food for her diet!
“Great job as always. Camron does exactly as we ask and sometimes more. She's intuitive and treats my baby like her own. She will work with you to agree on a schedule. She does her best to make her clients are happy!”

“Allison was great! Super friendly and communicative. My plans changed but she was super flexible and understanding and she was great with my hyper puppy. We would definitely have her back!”

“Cat is one of the best sitters we’ve ever had. She is so accommodating, communicates well, and really cares about our dogs. She even stayed longer than required to play with them and make sure they were happy. I would recommend her a million times over. Thank you so much Cat!!”

About: What sets me apart is my combination of hands-on animal experience, responsibility, and genuine love for pets. I have 10+ years of experience caring for animals and currently have a 4-year-old dog and two cats, including a senior cat. I’ve also rescued pets of my own, fostered cats, participated in TNR (trap, neuter, release), and volunteered with animal shelters. I also have experience with puppies, as I adopted my dog when she was just a two-month-old rescue. That experience gave me firsthand understanding of puppy care, including training, socialization, establishing routines, managing high energy, and supporting them through early developmental stages. My professional background has also given me experience in environments where safety, attentiveness, and responsibility are essential. I spent two years working at Two Shepherds Taproom, a dog park and taproom, where I was regularly around dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, personalities, and energy levels. Before transitioning careers, I also spent over six years as an elementary school teacher for Pasco County, where I was trusted with the safety, care, and well-being of 22–28 children every day. These experiences taught me patience, attentiveness, organization, communication, and how to stay calm when unexpected situations arise. I’m also a licensed real estate professional and understand the level of trust involved when someone allows you into their home. When I’ve pet sat or completed drop-in visits in the past, I’ve always made communication with pet parents a priority. I send updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and feel connected to them while you’re away. As a pet parent myself, I understand how important that reassurance is, especially when you’re traveling or away from a pet who truly is part of your family. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pets with the same patience, attention, affection, and care that I would want someone to give my own. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and needs time to warm up, or a senior who prefers a slower pace, I’m happy to meet them where they are and help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. Pet care is already a big part of my everyday routine! As a dog and cat owner myself, my days naturally include walks, feeding, playtime, enrichment, cuddles, and plenty of attention. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to plan my day around the pets in my care and provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I’m also happy to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including their feeding schedule, walks, medications, and any special care instructions, so they can feel comfortable and secure while their family is away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to keep their routine as familiar and comfortable as possible while their family is away. I carefully follow each pet parent’s instructions for feeding, walks, potty breaks, medications, playtime, enrichment, and any other individual needs their pet may have. For drop in visits, I make sure pets receive plenty of attention in addition to their basic care. Depending on their needs, that might include a walk, backyard playtime, enrichment, cuddles, refreshing food and water, cleaning litter boxes, or simply spending time with them so they have companionship during the day. For house sitting, I treat both your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would want someone to show my own. I’m happy to maintain established routines, provide regular updates and photos, and pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, or anything else that may seem unusual. Most importantly, I want your pets to feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their own environment while you’re away.

“When we're out of town for a short weekend, we usually have morning and night coverage for our baby. Wires got crossed and he didn't get the care we're used to. Enter Christine. Her and her husband went above and beyond. They cleaned an accident that happened after our usual walker didn't walk the dog accordingly because of the rain. Our poor boy, who never has house accidents, pooped inside. Again, Christine made sure our house was cleaned and even checked to make sure there were no further accidents. She communicated regularly and just gave us such ease while we were gone for the weekend. I can't say enough good things. We'll be booking with them again.”

About: I've loved and cared for animals as long as I can remember. I am a cat owner of a little one named Nibbles and my partner has a very loving rottie named Suki. I currently work from home and I pretty much have open availability. Please feel free to contact me further about anh availability preferences or needs. I have a backyard. It is not fenced, I live in a townhouse in a nice community. Its animal friendly and safe for all animals. My Suki has no problem going on walks or using the restroom in the area.
About: I have had dogs most of my life while also doing some pet sitting since then. I know how to create a safe, comfortable environment for dogs of all ages, ensuring they feel loved and secure while you're away. Whether it's playtime, walks, or administering medication, I bring patience, reliability, and a personal touch to every dog I care for. Your pup will feel right at home with me! With my current school schedule I am available Fridays and weekends, Monday and Wednesday before 9 am or after 12:30 pm Tuesday and Thursday before 3 pm after 5 pm When pet sitting at your home, I prioritize maintaining their routine to ensure they feel safe and comfortable. I will follow any specific instructions you provide, such as feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special care your dog may require. I’ll provide plenty of playtime, walks, and attention, making sure your dog stays active and happy. I also make sure to keep an eye on any special requests, like plant care or mail collection. Most importantly, I'll offer lots of love and companionship, ensuring your dog is well cared for while you are away.
About: I have experience caring for my neighbors’ dogs, helping with feeding, walks, playtime, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved while their owners are away. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. Whether your pup is energetic and loves playtime or prefers calm companionship, I provide patient, reliable, and personalized care. I’ll treat your dog like my own, keep you updated with photos and messages, and make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I have a flexible routine that allows me to provide loving and attentive care for pets. I work part-time and occasionally travel, but when I’m home, I spend most of my time taking care of my home and my two cats. Since I’m often home, I’m able to provide pets with companionship, attention, playtime, and a comfortable environment. I would love the opportunity to help other pet owners by caring for their animals when they need someone they can trust. I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe and happy while you’re away. I will provide reliable care, regular updates, and treat every pet with the same love and patience I give my own. In my home: I have a spacious home with multiple empty rooms and a fenced yard, providing a safe and comfortable environment for pets. I understand that every animal has different needs, so I can create a calm, separate space if needed. I have two cats of my own, and if they do not get along with a visiting cat, I can safely keep the guest cat comfortable on the second floor with a room, a window, and everything they need, while still providing plenty of love and attention. In your home: I will care for your pets while respecting your home and your routines. I will follow your instructions carefully and will not touch or use anything that I am not allowed to. My priority is to keep your pet comfortable, maintain their normal routine, and leave your home clean and respected.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cheval
Jacob has been coming to walk my dog while I work and has been a true lifesaver for my dog Nyla and I! He has been able to help me out on extremely late notice, and supplies a bunch of useful information on dogs as well. Super helpful and can tell he really has a passion for animals!

Soraya was fantastic with Odin today. He’s a blind dog with special needs, and she handled him with patience, confidence, and the right energy from the moment she arrived. She was punctual, attentive, and brought a calm but upbeat demeanor that made a real difference. It’s clear she understands how to care for dogs that require a little extra awareness. Odin was comfortable with her, and that says everything. Would absolutely book again.

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cheval. On Rover:
- 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
