“We recently hired Yaritza to walk our three Samoyeds—Cooper, Charlie, and Mochi—while we were away on vacation, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the service. Each day, she walked the dogs for an hour, and our mother-in-law, who was home at the time, mentioned that Yaritza was always punctual, reliable, and personable. The boys absolutely loved when she would arrive, and it was clear she had a great rapport with dogs. We also appreciated the communication and updates via text & app, including start/end times, pictures, and mileage, throughout the two weeks. It was such a relief knowing our dogs were well cared for, getting their daily exercise, and enjoying their walks. We would absolutely recommend Yaritza to any prospective clients. She’s professional, trustworthy, and truly cares about the well-being of the pets she walks. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our boys! We’ll definitely be booking you again in the future.”

About: I understand the need for in-home care for your fur babies. It’s hard to leave them and to have to worry about them being taken care of. I love to spend time with your dog(s) so they get the love they need when you are gone. I work full time but I am flexible for afternoon (lunch break) visits and evening visits. If morning care is needed, please discuss in advance to see if it will work for both of us. Weekends are also available any time of the day unless I am out of town. My in home service goes beyond just walking and feeding your dog(s). I enjoy having the time to play and provide extra love to your dogs while you are away. Most visits are 20-30 mins on average. I will take pictures and send updates to you so you know your fur baby is happy and cared for. I myself had my Chihuahua for 16 wonderful years and although I don’t have any pets right now, I really enjoy caring for yours! I also love caring for cats too.
“Camron is so very pleasant and friendly. She's a pleasure to work with, efficient and reliable. We've had our meet and greet with my cat, Tucker and my dog, Gabby. I hired her for some walks to get to know Gabby better. Honestly, I needed a dependable petsitter who is familiar with my pets and has access to them in case of an emergency or just the next time I need to hire them. I was looking to establish a relationship with someone I can count on wirh my Babies. I know I can count on Camron.”

About: My experience includes different breeds, sizes, ages-(puppy to senior) disabilities, and some temperaments but exceptions may apply. Understanding individual needs is my best quality. If you have questions please ask. I am a student currently- so I am pretty available unless appointments overlap which I give plenty of notice. It is a top priority of mine to be transparent in scheduling as the animals depend on me! In my care I emphasise accuracy in your routine, plus safety for both me and the pet. If your pet has special requirements for safety such as being known to swallow or chew on certain things, communication is key!
About: Hey there my name is Kristen, I have grown up with cats and dogs my entire life. Caring for animals has been something I have enjoyed for quiet awhile now, I am most comfortable with walking, feeding, and playing with your pets. Besides caring for my personal pets I use to volunteer/foster for an animal rescue back home in NC. I have dogs of my own from all different age and breed types. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask! I am more than happy to watch your fur babies while you are away! I did just move to the area and I live in an apartment, so I will not be able to care for your pet in my home. I do work a Full time job, but pet care is part of my daily routine. I set aside time each day for feeding, exercise, cleaning, and monitoring my pet's health and behavior. My dogs are my top priority, and so will your animals. :) For pet sitting and dog walking, I focus on maintaining each pet's normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. During visits, I provide fresh food and water, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention. For dogs, I offer safe, enjoyable walks tailored to their energy level, age, and needs. I also clean up after pets, refresh litter boxes if needed, and keep feeding and living areas tidy. I carefully follow all instructions provided by the owner, including medication schedules, dietary requirements, and any special care needs. I monitor pets for any changes in behavior or health and communicate updates, photos, and messages so owners know their pets are doing well. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate care while ensuring pets stay happy, safe, and comfortable in their familiar environment.
“Cat is one of the best sitters we’ve ever had. She is so accommodating, communicates well, and really cares about our dogs. She even stayed longer than required to play with them and make sure they were happy. I would recommend her a million times over. Thank you so much Cat!!”

“Allison was great! Super friendly and communicative. My plans changed but she was super flexible and understanding and she was great with my hyper puppy. We would definitely have her back!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cheval
Soraya was fantastic with Odin today. He’s a blind dog with special needs, and she handled him with patience, confidence, and the right energy from the moment she arrived. She was punctual, attentive, and brought a calm but upbeat demeanor that made a real difference. It’s clear she understands how to care for dogs that require a little extra awareness. Odin was comfortable with her, and that says everything. Would absolutely book again.

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cheval. On Rover:
- 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
