“Yaritza is so patient with my little girl, who's a big girl. She has some ptsd issues and definitely is afraid to be too far away me and home. We're trying to move across that I e little bridge there. I'm sure it's frustrating subconsciously or otherwise for Yaritza but she never shows it. It's all "let's fix this" with patience and understanding. Very genuine, fantastic personality to do this work with all these animals regularly.”

“What can I say ,Kristin was more than great.Kristin was not only a great communicator but she went above and beyond to make sure that our pups were given the attention and caring that they needed to feel secure while we were away.I would highly recommend her if you are looking for someone who is not only trustworthy ,but also has a genuine care and concern for your dog.I received updates and photos of our pups and that helped to reassure me so that I could spend my vacation having fun and not worrying about their care and if they were getting the attention that they needed. All In all the services that Kristin provided were A+ and I look forward to using her services in the future..”

“Meredith did a great job. We're relieved to have an engaged and reliable person taking care of our dogs. We are planning to continue using her, for sure! 5 stars all the way around.”

“Aryanna was very kind, great with communication, prompt with our meet and greet and the times to be with Raider. We had an unexpected event and she was able to help us out with short notice and on a holiday. Thank you so much for taking care of Raider!”

About: I am a 30 year old woman and have had pets my entire life. I have owned "aggressive" dogs like pit bulls, although I don't find them all that aggressive :). In the past 10 years my house has had 3 dogs and 3 cats. I also have experience working with pets who are diabetic. I am the friend who rolls on the floor to play with your dog and scratches your cats butt. I will simply love on your animal while you're away or I can walk/run them! I do work full time Monday-Friday 8-5. I can do morning and evening checks during the week and can do any schedule on the weekends. I am an adult who keeps a very clean and tidy home. I will treat your home better than my own and love your pets as if they are mine.
About: I have a strong love of dogs and have had them in my home for over 20 years. I have a large fenced in yard with 4 ft aluminum fence. My dog Abbie loves it! I work from home and I am able to step away, so I am in a great situation to watch your dog in my home. Spacious, one story home. Fenced yard. Swimming pool that is never left unattended when pets are out there. I have one large dog, Abbie, who would need to approve visitors in her home. She’s very friendly but a barker at first.
“Jess is awesome. She was wonderful with our two 50lb Labradoodles. She treats them like her own, and they just love her company. We will continue to use her on a regular basis. Her availability is also flexible and excellent. Very lucky to have found her.”

About: Dog parks, ball throwing, playing, these are all the great things that dogs should be enjoying. I look forward to meeting your best friend and having fun with them. I work from home full time during the weekdays. I am pretty open, we have a backyard and tons of trails to walk. If not we will find one by you. Love long walks and runs. Playing, picking and cleaning up, back yard runs with the ball, walking for exercise and fun, treats if able to have them, being an extension of you, with your loved animal and while you are not around reminding them how important they are is #1 focus.
About: I’ve spent my entire life caring with animals and I’ve also volunteered at a couple of pet places. I have experience with very loud and messy dogs and can pretty much clean any mess. Im available pretty much every day and on holidays so depending on what comes up I will take the pet with me if I can depending on the circumstances and if the owner gives permission. I’d spend my time playing with them and cuddling with them as well as taking them for short walks. Sometimes I’ll offer a dog human food so if that isn’t wanted just let me know.
“I hired Gabriella as a pet sitter and couldn’t be happier with the experience. She is reliable, communicates well, and took great care of our dog — who happens to be a very high-energy, mouthy, large pup. She handled him like a boss. I highly recommend Gabriella to anyone looking for a trustworthy and skilled pet sitter!”

About: our family is dog crazy, we will give your pup/s lots of attention. Our HOA does not allow pit bulls, sorry. We have always let our pet visitors roam the house as they please but if you are into cage / crate training we can easily support that as well. Our daughters (18, 16 and 6) will give your pup/s lots of love and plenty of energy expenditure. Hope your dog loves barking at birds and squirrels because we see lots of them all day! We have a large screened in lanai and spend most of the day outdoors. We can administer medicine if needed and have boarded dozens of dogs through the rover.com web site. When your pup/s stays they will be sure to have wonderful time for we provide clean cold filtered water, lots of walks and playtime, and a safe and comfortable home and community. Thank you for considering our home for your pup/s We work from home during the week and we are also here on weekends to give your pup lots of attention. When appropriate we can bring your pup to our weekend events like kid sports or trail walks. We are happy to reinforce any training regimens that you currently do. This includes eating rituals or other rules you might have about sitting or barking. Just let us know and we will oblige.
About: I’ve had animals since I was a little kid. There wasn’t a time when I don’t remember having a furry friend around! I have taken care of family and friends pets for years, dogs, cats, birds, lizards and other small animals. I’ve taken dogs into my home, and done drop ins for both dogs and cats. I love taking walks with dogs, playing and snuggling up! I am a teacher, so my schedule is very open in the summer! During the school year, I start my day taking care of my pup and bearded dragon (feeding, walking etc) and enjoy afternoon walks as well! For drop-ins visits, I would arrange with my client the best schedule/time for their animals. I know how to use coded doors and alarms and if necessary. I can clean cages and sweep cat litter/etc during my visits as well if needed.
About: I have been taking care of animals for 5 years and personally have a dog and leopard gecko. I have a passionate love for animals and want to get as much experience as possible to pursue my interest in animal sciences! I take care of my leopard gecko everyday & feed and walk my dog. I spend a lot of time with my animals and provide the care and attention they need :) Respect not only the pet and their schedule, but also respect the owner and their housing. I will make sure to follow the schedules of the pets and support them in every way I possibly can.
About: Hi, my name is Ashlee. I've been dog sitting for many years now. I love it so much, because it is just so much fun! My daughter and I get to play with so many different dogs! I currently have 4 cats in the house, but they usually stay out of sight when doggies are around. My daughter is in high school, and she is a big animal lover. I do have a full-time job, and WFH on everyday except Wednesdays. On Wednesdays I would be required to go into the office and therefore be away from my home for around 8-9 hours; however there is some flexibility with my employer. You're welcome to contact me for a meet and greet to see my home and yard to make sure you’re comfortable leaving your dog with me! It's always good to bring your own pet bed, crate, favorite toy, etc. Dogs are always more comfortable have something to remind them of home. If you don’t have a designated bed, they are welcome to sleep wherever they want in my home. If I do get the chance to care for your pet, feel comfortable knowing that they are treated like part of our family and not in a dog boarding environment! As a pet sitter, I spend all my free time with the animals in my house. Every morning the dogs and cats get fed before I even get my coffee. 🙂 I always make sure my house is tidy and I always keep an eye on the dogs when I let them outside in the backyard. Keeping the pets safe and healthy and HAPPY are my top priorities.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
