“Merideth is always amazing. She is always attentive and kind, extremely professional, and fantastic with the pups. She is attentive to their differing needs and always communicates excellently. I highly recommend her as your next sitter!”

“So apparently I didn't know my cat was skittish because we never needed to leave him to be watched by anyone but family. Even still, Yaritza hunted for him (he hid pretty well) and she figured out his hiding spots, which he never really hid before. And while it took the whole trip - she worked on him and got him to warm up to her right at the end there. I'm so thankful she really tried and spent her time with him trying to get him to. She took care of all his needs and cleaned up after him. She also brought in packages, which was just an added bonus. Especially when we had to leave everything in disarray due to personal circumstances, I'm grateful she took such good care of him in our home.”

“Wow, Kristin is just amazing! Very responsive to initial visit request. And after the visit she sent a detailed summary and plenty of pictures. Thank you for taking such good care of my babies!”

“Kelly did an amazing job! She was so great with our pups and took lots of pictures and kept us updated throughout our trip. I would definitely recommend her and use her again for future trips!”

“Tahrena was Awesome! We will definitely have her take care of our animals and house every time we go out of town! Her and her family are great and put us at ease on our vacation!!!”

“Wendy is terrific. She sent pictures everyday, and even my most skittish kitty came out to say hi and get some love. We took the dogs this trip, but next time would be very comfortable relying on her to take care of the whole brood.😊😊 Very reliable and easy to communicate with. Went above and beyond. Will definitely ask her to help with my pets in the future!!”

“Kristy is the BEST!! Many pics of fun with the furries and special attention is given to our Greyhound when extra luvs is necessary. She gives our Berner all the tugs and chases and our pups are never left wanting for anything. Super reliable, trustworthy, and an all around good human!”

“Tyson was excellent with our elderly pup. She was so happy every time he came by as shown in the many pictures he sent. He made our first time away very comfortable. He was always on time and spent 30-40 minutes with her each visit.”

About: I've worked at a few different animal hospitals as a kennel tech and receptionist. I grew up having lots of dogs and kitties. We also have a small family farm. We grew up taking care of goats, chickens, turkeys and any other farm bird you can think of. I've trained a few of my past dogs growing up. I also have experience giving animals meds, bathing, nail cutting and I love going on walks! Always respectful of your home and your pets and I have great references to back that up! :) I hope you pick me to care for your fur babies! I work in an office, Monday - Friday, from 8am to 5pm. I am free weekends. If your dog does need additional breaks in the day, I won’t be able to provide that as I will be at work. But I can walk them in the morning and when I get back after work. And I’m a homebody that enjoys crafting, watching movies and hanging with the animals. While I’m with your animal, I try to show them a lot of love and care because I know the stress it can cause when your pet is away from its owner. So I try to be extra caring and like to give a few extra treats and cuddles while you are away.
“Aryanna did such a great job watching our dogs and treating them as her own. She sent us updates and pictures daily! Our pups were so happy to have her attention while we were gone”

About: I am a great pet caretaker! I am a clear communicator, organized, flexible, and responsible sitter while giving your pet a loving and playful atmosphere! My animal caretaking experience ranges from Big Horses to small bearded dragons. I love all animals and admire their behaviors & cute quirks! I will ensure your pet receives the best care as I am attentive to detail to a pet’s needs. I also take any clients outside of Rover if preferred. I’m a newly graduated student! I will be going into college in the fall, but i am not staying on campus! I fit pet care into my schedule by filling up my free time whenever I don’t work or have an event. I treat pets with care, kindness, and love! I am flexible enough to pertain to a pet’s needs and looking to grow my experience profile! I’m a quick learner and eager to learn of the different types of care animals need! I have a dog of my own who i’ve taken care of since she was 2 months.

“Lisa is a great pet sitter - easy to communicate with, obviously loves dogs, very flexible and responsive. I had to make last minute plans for Sugar and Lisa worked with me and my uncertain schedule. She sent pics of Sugar each time she visited that showed what a good time he was having. Lisa was able to take Sugar on nice long walks which he really loved. I would not hesitate to request her again. I have found the Rover app not to be that user friendly - maybe they are still working out the bugs. There are differences between the app and the online account interface. It is not as easy to navigate as it should be. This problem with the app/website is no reflection of the professional and loving service provided by Lisa.”

About: I have a strong love of dogs and have had them in my home for over 20 years. I have a large fenced in yard with 4 ft aluminum fence. My dog Abbie loves it! I work from home and I am able to step away, so I am in a great situation to watch your dog in my home. Spacious, one story home. Fenced yard. Swimming pool that is never left unattended when pets are out there. I have one large dog, Abbie, who would need to approve visitors in her home. She’s very friendly but a barker at first.
“Jaritza was wonderful— she not only arrived early, but also provided updates throughout my puppy’s drop-in visit. Jaritza effectively communicated with me and ensured to keep me up to date with his activity. With this being our puppy’s first drop-in visit, she most definitely put our minds at ease.”

“We love being able to feel confident that our fur baby is in the best care with Kelly while we are away. She sends lots of pics and great notes on each visit and is very reliable.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Land O' Lakes. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
