“Donna is absolutely amazing with my dog!!! She treats him like her own. I know that I don’t have to worry when he is with her. She takes him on walks, and keep me updated on his activity. Not to mention multiple pictures and videos. We love and appreciate you Donna!!!”

“Adriana was so sweet with my senior pup, making sure he had plenty of water and outdoor time but respecting that he doesn't like to be out long in the heat. I really appreciated the regular photos and check-ins! I feel super comfortable leaving him with her.”

“My dog Nico really seems to enjoy going to Keith’s home for doggy day care. It has been very helpful to find someone who lives close to my job, is affordable, and takes care of Nico. Thanks Keith!”

“I’m always so nervous to try a new sitter for Niko - I spend hours researching and reading reviews and then worry all day usually when I drop him off haha. I chose Janet because of the amazing reviews and boy, I’m SO glad I did. I didn’t worry at all about him all day with all the updates and pictures Janet sent me, ensuring he was safe and having a blast. He’s been sleeping since he got home, he was so tuckered out from all the fun he had with Janet and his friends. I will DEFINITELY book again! Thank you!”

About: For the last 5 years, I co-managed a highly-rated Rover account and raised our family dogs for 7 years. Following a recent separation, I am starting fresh on my own profile. I deeply miss having dogs in my daily life, which means your pup gets 100% of my focus, a quiet home, and years of seasoned, professional pet-care experience! This fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I work from home full-time, meaning I am always here to provide constant supervision, companionship, and a structured schedule. Because I work a standard desk job, having a guest dog in my home acts as a quiet, natural companion in the background of my workday. Having co-managed a high-volume Rover account for 5 years and being a dog owner myself for 7, I am incredibly accustomed to balancing professional desk work with regular potty breaks, structured play, and affection without any disruption to my focus. Your dog will never be left alone, and my schedule is perfectly set up to treat them like a VIP member of my household throughout the day. I provide a calm, safe, and clean environment where pets receive plenty of attention and care. I follow each owner’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any medications or special instructions. Pets are never left alone for extended periods, and I make sure they always have fresh water, a comfortable place to rest, and regular bathroom breaks. I also provide updates with photos so owners know their pets are happy and well cared for. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, secure, and at home during their stay.
“Latte always receives kind and gentle care from Desiree. Could not recommend her more!!! I always enjoy seeing him play with her own two dogs, they seem to get along great 😊”

“I was visit from out of town for a medical conference. I couldn’t bring my dog to the conference. Laura was so understanding and kind. She understood I was not going to be a repeat customer. However she stepped up to help me and watch Peaches. She gave her medicine too.”

About: Hi, I'm Tricia! I grew up with a German Shepherd named Max, and a Golden Retriever named Peanut. I now have a husky that I have rescued so I also have experience with dogs that are shy/timid at first. I have been pet sitting for family and friends since I was in middle school and love to take care of any kind of animal. I have experience with many different sizes and ages of dogs, making me able to adapt to each dogs needs. I love to take dogs to the dog park to give them exercise and a chance to play. I work night shift three nights a week in the medical field, so I have a very flexible availability. I would love to meet your pet and take care of them as if they were my own, making both their experience and your experience a positive one! My schedule can fluctuate, but with working only 3 days a week it is fairly open. On days I’m not working I spend it playing with my dog and taking him on adventures. I have a fenced in yard with a privacy yard making it hard for any escape artists. Pets are allowed on furniture and will have endless access to food and water unless they require a set meal schedule.
About: I have been a dog sitter for many years. I love spending time with dogs and enjoy meeting new ones whenever I can! We have plenty of room to house your fur baby. I work remotely and am widely available. There are no other pets in the home. We have a large fenced in yard perfect for dogs to run around in. We are in a great neighborhood with many other friendly dogs in the area. I work remotely from a home office and have plenty of time to give lots of personalized attention to animals staying in our home with us. I give lots of attention and care to when I go to a client’s home caring for their pets. My goal is to make the pets feel as happy and comfortable as possible!
“Trevor was great. He was calm and reassuring with my girls on their first visit, communicated well about all aspects of the visit, and offered lots of doggie toys and ample spaces for doggie play.”

“Taylor and James watched out pup for day care. They sent pictures and updated us throughout the day and he came homes thoroughly tired so I know he had a great time, this boy is a ball of energy always!! We will definitely be asking for help with Goose again!!”

About: I’m a stay at home mom with lots of time, attention, and love to give your pups. Dogs have always been a big part of my life and I love getting to know their personalities, routines, and little quirks. I’m happy to provide a calm, welcoming home where they can relax and feel at ease while you’re away :) I’m home most of the day with my son, so your pup will have plenty of company and attention throughout their stay. I'm able to take them out for longer walks if needed, provide exercise and play, and cuddles! :) We live in a calm, pet-friendly community with plenty of grassy areas for walks and a fenced dog park. Your pup’s safety is a priority, and I take the time to learn their personality, needs, and levels of comfort.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Citrus Park
three dogs—Buddy, Lexi, and Bentley! This was the very first time I had ever left them in someone else's care, so I was naturally a little nervous. Donna made the entire experience so much easier. She kept me updated with pictures throughout the day, which gave me so much peace of mind and let me see how happy and comfortable they were. She is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and truly loves animals. She made sure they were fed, spent time playing with them, took them outside to enjoy the backyard, and even made cozy beds for them to rest. It was obvious they were treated like part of her family. When I picked them up, they were happy, relaxed, and clearly had a wonderful time. As soon as we got home, all three of them went straight to bed—they were completely exhausted from a fun-filled day! I can't thank Donna enough for taking such wonderful care of my babies. I would trust her with them again without hesitation, and I know Buddy, Lexi, and Bentley are already looking forward to seeing her again. I highly recommend Donna to anyone looking for a caring, dependable, and loving pet sitter! I think this kind of review would really stand out on Rover because it describes not only what Donna did, but also how safe and well cared for your dogs were.

Vanessa took great care of my dog, Cherish. I really appreciated the consistent updates and photos, and it gave me peace of mind knowing she was in good hands. Cherish is very shy around new people and places, but Vanessa and her family made her feel right at home. I also appreciated Vanessa accommodating me on short notice. Thank you again!

Thank you Samantha and family for welcoming our 4-month-old puppy, Chewy, into your home! He was happy, well cared for, and came home tired from lots of playtime. We really appreciated the updates and feel so comfortable leaving him in such good hands. Highly recommend! 🐾

What an awesome experience I have had with Justine! She was super sweet and took both of my girls together without an issue. She provided me with frequent updates and was very accommodating when we were late for pickup. I am happy to have found her and will definitely make her my official dog sitter from now on!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
