“Ashley was absolutely amazing with my babies. My original boarding was fully booked so I was hesitant to use Rover, but she made me feel at ease. She provided lots of updates and photos - will definitely be using her again! :)”

About: Hello! I’m Stephanie and I love dogs of all breeds, sizes, and age. Each dog has their own quirks and personality, and as a dog sitter I respond accordingly. Playtime, cuddles, long walks, whatever your dog needs, I’ll be glad to provide. I live in Westchase, but I am willing to travel to dog sit or walk your dog. I have a very flexible schedule and accept one day advance notice. I am attentive and patient, giving your dog the love and care they deserve while in my watch. I can provide your pet with everything they need or want from medication, walks, and entertainment.
“Stephanie was wonderful with Ares! She arrived 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled time, took him on several walks and to the dog park, and made sure he ate and stayed active with a couple naps in between. She practiced his commands and sent multiple updates throughout the day, keeping me informed the whole time. She even filled out a short report with detailed notes at the end of her visit. Overall, a wonderful experience and we truly appreciate her care! Thank you Stephanie! 😊”

“Mariana was absolutely amazing taking care of my two dogs during my 12-day vacation! She handled their daily medications, strict feeding routines, and regular walks with absolute care and professionalism. I received wonderful daily updates and photos that gave me total peace of mind while away. My dogs were happy, relaxed, and well-cared for when I got home. I couldn't have asked for a better sitter and will definitely book with her again!”

“Isabella did a great job taking care of my two dogs and my home while we were on vacation for a week. My dogs were happy when we got home. Isabella made sure the house looked great too! I would recommend her without hesitation!”

“Chris is Very communicative and patient with timid dogs. This was the first time I had pet sitting at my house and was nervous about the entire process his communication and willingness to follow the directions I provided really made it easy to trust him in my home and with my dogs. I have a Doberman and a Yorkie, the Doberman is still very new to me as he is a recent rescue and Christ provided him the space he needed to naturally warm up to Chris. I recommend and would reschedule.”

“Mariana was an absolute gem! She cared for our two dogs in-home and immediately made them feel comfortable with her warm, friendly, and loving energy. She kept us updated with adorable photo check-ins and her communication was always clear and prompt. Our pups were happy and relaxed when we returned—it’s clear she treated them like her own. I’ll definitely be booking her again!!”

“Lucas did a great job caring for our lab. He engages well with the dog and seems to genuinely like caring for him. He was very respectful of our home and communicates well. Lucas is very responsible and trustworthy. Highly recommend him!!!”

About: We had a family dog for 5 years as older child to early teen. We have had our own family dog, three different ones, for our three children over the past 28 years and currently. Have taken care of neighbors dogs sometimes over the years. If not already booked, always available. Am very flexible. Very experienced. Perfect dog atmosphere. You will not regret booking with me and love all dogs. I am in a smaller side by side two units apartment with a fenced in backyard and screened in porch. I am very short walking distance walking to the upper Tampa Bay trail.
About: I've been taking care of dogs ever since I was a child, and I currently have one that I'm taking care of now! If your dog loves to go outside, take walks and play, or even if your dog likes to rest and receive pets and cuddles, I'm happy to provide the same level of care as I would for my dog! I currently work from home off of a laptop, and my schedule is very flexible! I'll be able to provide your fluffy friend the proper care they need and give them all the attention they want! I'm happy to ensure that your home remains a safe environment for your pet while you are away! I'd also be happy to take pictures throughout my stay to provide peace of mind that your pet is happy and healthy!
“My animals love KC. She takes wonderful care of them while we’re gone… maybe a little too well because they don’t seem to miss us! Lol. I love receiving pictures of them all cuddling on the couch and on their daily walks. We hope to rebook in the future during our next trip!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Dog Care Experience with Michael! Michael is truly amazing! From start to finish, he was professional, kind, caring, and so attentive—everything you could hope for when leaving your beloved pet in someone else’s hands. He kept me fully updated throughout the day with photos, videos, and detailed notes on my dog Yoshi’s behavior, walks, bathroom breaks, hydration, and even bedtime routines. The level of communication was outstanding and gave me so much peace of mind. He even provided a full report card, showing exactly how the day went—from their long morning walk to Yoshi’s training progress. His updates were not only thorough but filled with genuine affection and humor, which reassured me that Yoshi was being loved and understood while I was away. What really sets Michael apart is his background in dog training—such a valuable bonus! Not only did he care for Yoshi with love and patience, but he also incorporated training into their time together, offering structure and reinforcing good habits. Vacations can feel a little uneasy when you’re worried about how your pet is doing—but thanks to Michael, I was able to relax and enjoy my time away. Knowing Yoshi was in such caring and capable hands meant the world to me. I can’t recommend Michael enough. He’s passionate about what he does, treats your dog like his own, and provides not just care—but connection. We’re so lucky to have found him, and I’m looking forward to more visits and training sessions in the future.”

“Keyla was wonderful with my golden retriever Freja. She let me know when she was there and took pictures to show how happy Freja was with her. When I got home Freja was happy as can be and not stressed that I had been gone for the weekend.”

“Suzanne was wonderful! She was very communicative, punctual, kind, and made me feel comfortable knowing my dog was in good hands. I also really appreciated the thoughtful card she left for me, it was such a sweet personal touch. I would definitely recommend Suzanne and would happily book her again! ❤️🐾”

About: As a lifelong dog lover and owner for 10 years, I’m now embarking on a new chapter after 24 wonderful years in Chicago. Following a long career in advertising sales, I’m seeking a slower-paced, more fulfilling path — one that lets me combine my reliability with my love for animals. At 49, I bring maturity, responsibility, and genuine care to every pup I watch, ensuring your they are looked after as if they were my own. Also, the doodle you see in some pics is my amazingly chill, gets along with every living thing, sidekick Lambeau. So please note your dog(s) must be okay with other dogs. I'm currently taking some time off and won't be going back to remote work until the fall '26, at the earliest. So I'm very flexible with my time at the moment. I live in an apartment complex (2 bed / 2 bath) with a huge unfenced grassy area off my lanai, that Lambeau and I call our own backyard. I also live across the street from John Chesnut park, in the Tarpon Woods area so Lambeau and I spend lots of time at that huge dog park and/or exploring the various trails. So if you're open to that as well, I'll gladly take your pup(s) over there for some adventures.

If you’re looking for a top-tier dog sitter, hire Rico! He set up a meet-and-greet beforehand so everyone felt comfortable, sent daily updates with a cool report card, and left our house completely spotless. He didn't just watch our dogs, he gave them the full babysitter treatment, taking them out and having fun with them the whole time. They had a blast, and we felt 100% confident with them in his care. Highly recommended!

As always, when I leave Pretty Kitty in Sami’s care I have complete peace of mind while I’m away. Sami sends me pictures and tells me of the funny antics they experience together. Sami also is very respectful of my house and tends to the kitty’s daily routines, including giving meds as prescribed. I highly recommend Sami as a very professional, compassionate pet sitter.

Sarah stayed with my dog for 11 days in my home. She is a lovely person and a wonderful caretaker!. My dog was happy and serene when I got home and my house was immaculate. I hope Sarah is available the next time I go away - in fact, I may plan my travel around her availability!

Rylie looked after our two dogs over the 4th of July weekend. Between the fireworks and the constant thunderstorms they were two very anxious dogs, but Rylie took great care of them. We really appreciate how well she takes care of them - we never have to worry anytime we go away ❤️

Crystal was an absolutely wonderful housesitter and dogsitter! She took great care of our senior dog and our home, and was also great about communicating and providing updates (and we loved that she sent plenty of cute photos and videos too). We highly recommend her!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Citrus Park on Rover is $54.5 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 4,236 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Citrus Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Citrus Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Citrus Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Citrus Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Citrus Park. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
