“Keyla was wonderful with my golden retriever Freja. She let me know when she was there and took pictures to show how happy Freja was with her. When I got home Freja was happy as can be and not stressed that I had been gone for the weekend.”

“We love having Katherine pet sit. She gives the menagerie a ton of attention and we really appreciate the photos and videos that allow us to know everything's good so we can travel with peaceful minds. :)”

“Jordan was fantastic! She arrived promptly and sent us photos of the pups to let us know she was there and the pups were well :). She continued to send us photos (and she got some great shots) in a way that was comforting and just the right amount. The house was in great shape when we got home. It was such a relief to know that our dogs were in their own environment. We are all looking forward to our next opportunity to have Jordan do a drop in visit or stay when we travel.”
“I wish I could book Rylie every time we traveled. Are pets are so loved and cared for and we came home to a picked up house, mail brought in, a cleaned out litter box, and happy kitties and a puppy. She sends great updates/pics, and truly has my animals best interest at heart. This is our 2nd time booking her and would 100% use her again.”

He sent frequent updates with pictures, videos and even went above and beyond to give Koda a bath. He was very responsive and made me feel so at ease. I will definitely book with him again!”

“David was great with my dogs and cat while I was away for a few days on vacation! Treated the dogs as if they were his own. He even cleaned up before he left! 10/10 would recommend and would book him again in the future. You can tell he really loves the animals!”

“My Ruby girl had an excellent time with Rhonda, getting spoiled with walks and extra love over Christmas. Rhoda went above and beyond the call of duty and even took care of some household stuff. She communicated with me often and sent lots of pictures. I had such peace of mind knowing that Rhoda was caring for Ruby so well. I cannot say enough good about her!”

About: As a child I inherited my mother’s absolute adoration for dogs. We always had several at a time having loved them all to the fullest. Have plenty experience with dogs of all ages including puppies, and elderly! I specialize in dogs with anxiety, as well as high energy dogs. I work in the mornings, so ideally I’d be able to walk them before work, and then spend evenings with them! Whether that is just a walk or quality time! Making sure that they have all their needs met is incredibly important. Giving them time to eat, play, and relax. Also cleaning up after pets.
“Carolyn did an incredible job!! She was very easy to get in touch with, sent a ton of updates, and took care of our girls like they were her own. I can’t wait for her to watch our dogs again. She’s amazing.”

“I can’t even begin to explain how amazing Rico was during our 2 weeks away from our beloved pup. I’ve read reviews saying “my dog might like Rico more than me” and I agree😂 Our dog definitely built a strong bond with Rico. He would send updates, report cards, and pics/videos DAILY! He didn’t just dog sit but he spent time training, nurturing and caring for our boy. He was very thorough and even asked questions that I didn’t think of! Very trustworthy, reliable and professional. 100/10 recommend (but beware your dog may not want you to come back😂) !! Signing up for training sessions ASAP. He’s awesome!”

“Mark was incredibly helpful with my dog Wrigley. My dog had gotten sick the night before I left, and Mark kept me up-to-date on how my dog was doing. Mark was also very patient with my anxious pup. I would 100% recommend Mark as a pet sitter!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Carrollwood
Keyla was an amazing petsitter! She was proactive and coordinated in advance to meet me and the pets prior to the petsitting days. Keyla, without hesitation, took one of my dogs to the veterinarian to help address an unexpected situation. She was an excellent communicator and kept me informed of how the pets were doing.

Madison has sit for us many times. She just finished 9 nights here and my house was left in great condition but more importantly so were my animals. She administered daily medication and was able to get more for me when I unexpectedly ran out. Huge help!!! Thank you soooooo much

Emma did an amazing job taking care of our two German Shepherds, Lily and Stella! From the moment we met her, we felt confident they were in great hands. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure they were comfortable and well cared for while we were away. She kept us updated, gave them plenty of attention, and we came home to two happy dogs. We highly recommend Emma to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable dog sitter. We wouldn't hesitate to have her watch Lily and Stella again!

My animals love KC. She takes wonderful care of them while we’re gone… maybe a little too well because they don’t seem to miss us! Lol. I love receiving pictures of them all cuddling on the couch and on their daily walks. We hope to rebook in the future during our next trip!

We hired Madie for a trip that another person canceled on us last minute. We needed a house/pet sitter. It was very stressful but Madie came in, did a great job with our pets and was very respectful to our home. Would hire her again in a heartbeat!! She gave us updates and pictures multiple times per day.
We are so glad we found Julia & Eric. Communication was excellent throughout our time away, and we always felt informed and reassured. Loved all of the photos & video updates. Knowing Gracie was in good hands allowed us to relax and enjoy our trip. Will definitely be booking with them again!

Mark took great care of our senior dog, Milo, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. He communicated regularly, kept us updated, and followed all of our instructions carefully. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about the pets he looks after. We felt comfortable knowing Milo was in good hands. We would definitely book with Mark again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive pet sitter.

I can’t even begin to explain how amazing Rico was during our 2 weeks away from our beloved pup. I’ve read reviews saying “my dog might like Rico more than me” and I agree😂 Our dog definitely built a strong bond with Rico. He would send updates, report cards, and pics/videos DAILY! Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Carrollwood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Carrollwood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Carrollwood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
