“Erin was absolutely outstanding! She was arrived on time and was extremely communicative, sending us updates daily complete with adorable photos and videos of our babies. She even went out of her way to bathe our two big pups before we returned from our trip, stripped the guest bedroom sheets, and I’m pretty sure she vacuumed for us! One of the most stressful parts of retuning from a long trip is coming home to a dirty house and dirty puppers. She made the transition home seamless and couldn’t have taken better care of our two dogs and two kitties while we were out of town for 5 days! We will definitely be booking with Erin again for our next trip!! 😊”

About: Hi y’all! I’ve been caring for dogs and other animals since I was 10 years old. I grew up on a farm for several years of my life and I got to care for many different animals! Cats, dogs, chickens, goats, pigs, rabbits, and a pony. I’ve also helped family and friends with their farm animals and pets as well. Friends, neighbors, family, and some strangers have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and care for their pets while they were away. I have experience with dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities, including energetic puppies and senior dogs who need extra patience and attention. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always prioritize their safety, comfort, and happiness. I’m reliable, attentive, and happy to provide updates and photos so pet parents can have peace of mind while they’re away. My last dog Buddy was actually 15 years old and I learned to take care of him very well. He has since passed away but my experiences and memories with him has made my love of animals grow even more! Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I work during the day, but I am available for drop-in visits, dog walks, and pet care before work, after work, and on weekends. I do my best to be flexible and accommodate each pet’s needs while providing reliable, consistent care and attention. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, and routines to help pets feel comfortable and secure. During walks and visits, I stay attentive to my surroundings and your pet’s behavior to ensure they remain safe at all times. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
“Victoria did an amazing job with my 2 puppies. They absolutely loved her and had a great time. She sent updates though the afternoon/night with pictures and it was amazing to see them calm and sleeping ir playing and eating. Will absolutely recommend her!”

About: Having worked in the pet industry from my past work experience has allowed be to gain knowledge on how to deal with various situations that would relate to your pet. Some of these situations include: Basic behavioral techniques, reading basic social cues and/or body language, applying basic commands (dogs), socialization, walks, and appropriate food distribution. Volunteering at pet shelters has also provided me with knowledge on handling pets of different ages (puppy/kitten-senior). Not to mention, I am also a Social media Influencer hoping to provide my dogs with the best life possible. Working from home would allows me to practically never leave your pets side during boarding or sitting (boarding preferably). My dogs and I create fun/informative videos on different social medias (YouTube, Instagram, and Tiktok) and are alway happy to invite other pet owners to participate! To check us, just type in our Channel name: LifeWoofPaws on any of the social media platforms. Aside from my favorite hobby, I have done pet sitting for friends and family that range from a variety of different animals 🐶🐱🐹🐢🕸️🐠🐇🦔🦜 Currently I work from home full-time, so I can be present with your furbaby more often than not whether that be for pet sitting or boarding (boarding preferred). If your pet is more of an outside fur baby, I have a large fenced backyard with a patio for he or she to escape the sun when needed and a glass sliding door for your dog be in eyes view. If more of an inside pet and potty/crate trained, no area if off limits to roam. If not potty/crate trained, I have a play pin that will allow them extra space to still move around and play with puppy pads in it. Having my own pet, I have plenty of toys and a playmate for your fur buddy to interact with if he or she is friendly. If not socialized, my home is spacious enough to keep your pet inside with me, while my pet (dog) stays outside where he is 85% of the time (or vice versa).
“Rhoda is such a kind and reliable sitter! She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. My pup was well cared for and I will continue booking with her.”

About: If you’re looking for someone to prioritize your animals needs I’m the gal for you! I have a few pets of my own that I care for and gained experience in training, walking and following a strict routine. I love making sure that your animals feel loved while their owners are away. I’m a fast learner and am able to stick to any routine your animal requires. I am experienced with watching multiple dogs at a time and dogs that don't get along with other animals. I have watched neighbors and friends dogs for multiple weeks at a time while working a full time job. Im used to taking them out every four hours and taking them for walks if needed. I have also given medication to some of the dogs I’ve watched. I am also experienced with puppies, senior, and bigger dogs. I’m currently a student at USF and have classes in the mornings from 9:30- 12. Other than that I have no other obligations and would spend most of my time with your pets. I am looking to do housing sitting and drop ins. I can play, walk, feed, cuddle, give mediation and crate your dog when needed. The longest I would have to leave your dog would potentially be 4 hours. If I have no other obligations I can be there to take care of them most of the day.

About: I've been caring for animals my entire life, as I wanted to be a veterinarian growing up. I have 5 years of professional pet sitting experience and am skilled in puppy training basics (housebreaking, crate training, basic commands). I love working with shy or fearful pets and have endless patience helping them come out of their shells. My clients say I have a natural gift for reading animal body language and making pets feel safe and loved. I work part-time as a court reporter, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability to care for your pets. I can accommodate morning, midday, evening, or overnight visits, whatever works best for your pet's routine. My remote work setup means I'm often home and can provide extended visit times or last-minute care when you need it. I'm also available on weekends and holidays when finding reliable care can be challenging. I offer flexible care options depending on your pet's needs and your preferences. Whether visiting once daily or staying overnight, I prioritize your cat's comfort by maintaining their exact routine in the familiar environment of your home. I'm conscientious about home security, keeping doors locked, preventing escapes, and never advertising my or your absence. I'm also respectful of your space, keeping everything clean and following any household guidelines you provide. Daily updates with photos give you peace of mind while you're away.

Lindsey was amazing to work with! She house sat while we were on our trip for the weekend, and provided multiple updates throughout the day. Our dog Arlo has pretty bad separation anxiety- and she did an incredible job with taking care of him and his needs while we were away. I’d highly recommend her!

Meredith is amazing! She took such great care of my pup and kept me updated with pictures throughout the stay. When I got home, everything was exactly as I had left it, clean, organized, and well taken care of. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing Lucas was in such good hands. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her!

Marie is INCREDIBLE! My home and pets are safe and so well taken care of when Marie house sits. She manages multiple cats (who don’t get along😊), and a sweet dog with health issues-and she manages it all like a pro! Communication and photos are so nice to receive from Marie, too. Thank you!!!!

Charlotte was amazing! She provided daily updates and pictures of all of our pets. From our first meet and greet we could tell she clicked with all of them and we were able to relax and enjoy our trip knowing they were in good hands. 10/10 and will be booking with her again

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Temple Terrace on Rover is $43.05 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 4,519 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Temple Terrace. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Temple Terrace walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Temple Terrace maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Temple Terrace choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
