“Erin was absolutely outstanding! She was arrived on time and was extremely communicative, sending us updates daily complete with adorable photos and videos of our babies. She even went out of her way to bathe our two big pups before we returned from our trip, stripped the guest bedroom sheets, and I’m pretty sure she vacuumed for us! One of the most stressful parts of retuning from a long trip is coming home to a dirty house and dirty puppers. She made the transition home seamless and couldn’t have taken better care of our two dogs and two kitties while we were out of town for 5 days! We will definitely be booking with Erin again for our next trip!! 😊”

“Christian is absolutely WONDERFUL! He’s such a pleasure - he’s kind and you can rest easily knowing he’ll treat your pup like they’re his own 🥹 He’s so polite and respectful and keeps in touch. I felt very comfortable with him and he and my pup are new best friends!!!”

She sent pictures of our pets throughout the day and we could tell that they were having a great time with her and very comfortable. She was very polite and left with all the food and water bowls full and our home clean and as it was when left. We will definitely be using her in the future!”

“Amanda took the worry out of leaving my puppy (I mean, my 60# bundle of joy) for a weekend away with my family. She patiently listened to dozens of my details about Schatzee's schedules, habits, likes, dislikes, foibles, our neighborhood, and on and on. Amanda didn't miss a beat! She's detailed, professional, and super-nice! I recommend Amanda.”

“Met Angela through Rover, she is absolutely incredible, I was nervous leaving my senior dog, as he is typically at home or with close friends. She handled him with warmth, compassion and expertise. I came home to calm and happy dog. She skillfully handled my trip emergency definitively recommend her!”

“It is always hard to leave my pets but Julia was so diligent about keeping me updated with pictures and videos that it made it easier. It was so nice to see how the fur babies were doing everyday. I'd feel confident having Julia back to house sit any time.”

About: Having worked in the pet industry from my past work experience has allowed be to gain knowledge on how to deal with various situations that would relate to your pet. Some of these situations include: Basic behavioral techniques, reading basic social cues and/or body language, applying basic commands (dogs), socialization, walks, and appropriate food distribution. Volunteering at pet shelters has also provided me with knowledge on handling pets of different ages (puppy/kitten-senior). Not to mention, I am also a Social media Influencer hoping to provide my dogs with the best life possible. Working from home would allows me to practically never leave your pets side during boarding or sitting (boarding preferably). My dogs and I create fun/informative videos on different social medias (YouTube, Instagram, and Tiktok) and are alway happy to invite other pet owners to participate! To check us, just type in our Channel name: LifeWoofPaws on any of the social media platforms. Aside from my favorite hobby, I have done pet sitting for friends and family that range from a variety of different animals 🐶🐱🐹🐢🕸️🐠🐇🦔🦜 Currently I work from home full-time, so I can be present with your furbaby more often than not whether that be for pet sitting or boarding (boarding preferred). If your pet is more of an outside fur baby, I have a large fenced backyard with a patio for he or she to escape the sun when needed and a glass sliding door for your dog be in eyes view. If more of an inside pet and potty/crate trained, no area if off limits to roam. If not potty/crate trained, I have a play pin that will allow them extra space to still move around and play with puppy pads in it. Having my own pet, I have plenty of toys and a playmate for your fur buddy to interact with if he or she is friendly. If not socialized, my home is spacious enough to keep your pet inside with me, while my pet (dog) stays outside where he is 85% of the time (or vice versa).
“Shea was wonderful, she watched my dog in my house and took good care of the house and my dog. She was also able to accommodate a day of last minute holiday weekend booking and made the boarding work with her schedule. She sent updates throughout the stay and I would definetly recommend her and use her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Del Rio
We can’t recommend Angela enough! We hired her in a pinch before a trip, and she was so accommodating and easy to work with. She took amazing care of our dogs, loved on them like they were her own, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We even came home to a house that was cleaner than when we left! She truly went above and beyond, and we’ll definitely be using her again.

Erin followed my dogs' schedule exactly as instructed. I was very happy with the care she provided, giving them plenty of attention, cuddles, and love while I was away. We had bad weather that weekend, which makes one of my dogs very nervous, but Erin was always home with them, making sure they felt safe and cared for. I truly appreciated her dedication and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you Erin!!!

Meredith is amazing! She took such great care of my pup and kept me updated with pictures throughout the stay. When I got home, everything was exactly as I had left it, clean, organized, and well taken care of. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing Lucas was in such good hands. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her!

Victoria was amazing during the stay with our dogs. She followed our instructions and was great at communicating and sending picture updates! She is very skilled which eased our minds as we were away for a few days. We would definitely book again in the future !

Bryson stayed at our house to watch our GSP for the weekend. He kept us updated throughout his time with our dog and took great care of him. Our dog is very high energy so it was great to find a sitter that is used to all types of temperaments. The house was clean when we got back home and he even washed the sheets. We will definitely be asking Bryson to watch our dog again in the future!

Alina was absolutely fantastic overnight with my Sadie!!! Sadie has some GI and joint issues and Alina was wonderful about accommodating everything and sending me tons of photos!!! She even sent me a photo of Sadie’s food so I could verify she had all her supplements!! As an anxious dog mom she made me feel very at ease and I will 100% be using her again!!

Kristina was great! Her first time staying with the dogs and she was able to manage both my large dog (who is apprehensive with people) and small dog (who requires medication including insulin). The house looked better than when we left it and both dogs were happy and well taken care of. We will be using her again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Del Rio walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Del Rio maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Del Rio choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
