“Alina is reliable and she is great with Pablo. She treats him like family and cares for him exceptionally. She communicates promptly and openly. She’s a trusted sitter and someone I know I can count on to care for my baby.”

“Jennifer gave me complete peace of mind while I was out of state for my cat! She gave awesome updates in rover, spent time trying to get to know my very shy kitty, and left my apartment very clean. Great communication and super sweet person. Couldn’t recommend more”

“We had a great experience! Our two dogs were well taken care of, and it was nice getting updates during the visit. Everything went smoothly, and we’d be happy to book again. Thanks for taking such good care of them!”

“As always, Emma was fantastic with my girls. She went above and beyond when Snap and Pompom broke something (100% my fault) and made sure it was well cleaned so they wouldn't get glass in their paws.”

“Excellent and thoughtful care for my pup who needed some special treatment while recovering from an injury. Amanda really was attentive and engaged - they seemed to enjoy each other's company which made it a much more rewarding experience to book. I hope to contact Amanda in the future, I'm sure my dog will be very happy that I did!”

About: I grew up taking care of puppies and dogs of all types. I tend to gravitate in any situation towards animals first. While I have no formal training in dog training, I have learned quite a bit throughout my years. My schedule sometimes varies through out the week but it is 99% night shifts, so 3pm until about midnight at the latest. I am available anytime during the day. I live alone with just my 4 year old cat in a decently sized 1 bedroom apartment. I am on the second floor with no elevator. I will be very respectful to your home and your pets, just as I expect someone to be in my home. I pay attention to details and will make sure to take great care of your fur babies.
“Tina was wonderful. Took good care of my dog and left excellent updates with helpful notes and photos 😊 I felt at ease knowing that my baby was well taken care of”

“Kailia was so nice and flexible with her schedule. We made our booking last minute and made a further last minute reservation change. Kailia stepped up and really made our time away from home feel special as we knew we had someone truly reliable to take care of our girl.”

“Rebecca was very nice and punctual. She took my dogs out a couple times in prep for watching them for a weekend since my one dog is very scared and needs some prep with strangers. Her dog, Pawprint, loved my dogs and they all had fun playing!”

“Isabel was amazing. She came over to meet my cats before I left and they were instantly in love with her, which is not their norm. Usually, my older cat is skittish and standoffish, but he loved her immediately. She took such amazing care of them, cleaning up messes, and playing with them. I came home to no anxiety from my cats, which is super rare. 11/10. My partner and I are going to call her every time we leave town.”

“Erin was great with my boy! She was super attentive to and provided updates throughout our time away. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for excellent care for their dog while they’re away from home.”

“Sophia is so wonderful! She is professional, kind, and was very attentive with my puppy. I’d absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for quality pet care!”

“Annaliese was wonderful. Very responsive and great with communication. She made notes of Lola’s issues/care. She provided detailed updates. She put forth her best effort with Lola. Will definitely use again.”

“First-time Rover user and first-time finding a pet sitter for my new rescued dog! Bekah was a referral. My sweet 5-year-old PomChi mix, Ginger Riley, I knew, would be a bit scared, skittish, and possibly sassy, as I had only rescued her six months ago and we were still getting adjusted to each other. I’ve also never left her for more than a few hours, and now I would be gone for 7 days on a cruise I booked long before I adopted her! To say I was stressed and worried was an understatement. I was worried about staying in contact during my time away, whether Ginger Riley would be okay, and if Bekah would have everything she needed, etc. I knew it would take a day or two for Ginger Riley to warm up and fully trust Bekah. I knew I needed someone who could be responsible, patient enough to build Ginger Riley’s trust over the first few days, and gentle enough to reassure her that she was safe with this new person and not going back to the shelter, as she had so many times before I adopted her. Although Bekah was referred to me by a friend, my friend's dog and mine have VERY different personalities. We had a meet and greet, and I felt Bekah was the one for the job, and Bekah was FABULOUS!!! By the end of the third day, Ginger Riley couldn’t wait to see her come in the door! No hesitation by Ginger Riley, coming near her and getting the harness on, Ginger Riley was something Bekah had mastered! Bekah was sweet, gentle, kind, and went above and beyond to ensure my sweet girl was well cared for and received lots of extra cuddle time... just what she needed while I was away! Bekah was always timely each day; her messages were extremely detailed, sweet, funny, and the pictures and videos just warmed my heart! I looked forward to them every day! Everything she did while I was away just eased my mind, allowing me to relax and enjoy time with friends. I couldn’t be more thrilled, and the handmade gift she made for Ginger Riley, which I found upon my return, was the kindest thing I had ever seen! Melted my heart! I honestly think Ginger Riley was hoping Bekah would be walking in with me upon my return, as she now misses her new friend and keeps looking for her. I can’t say enough good things about Bekah, and I will most definitely be using her services again in the future! I hope we can continue with even short visits and/or walks to keep their bond strong for future times when I travel. I hope this review helps other anxious pet parents find the right fit for their pet, like I did with Bekah. Thank you so much, Bekah. You truly are a wonderful person who has a very special gift with dogs like my sweet Ginger Riley! We hope to see you again soon! :)”

Alina thought of everything while dropping in on our dog & cat while we were away! Both our animals and our home was well taken care of by Alina we were so grateful to have her doing check-ins, we had great communication and our fur babies received plenty of love and treats!

If you love your pets.. BOOK WITH KATIE! She is 5 stars for a reason! I was so worried about leaving my cat for a few days but Katie made both me and my cat feel the most comfortable. Katie is extremely thorough with her level of attention and care, super friendly, and went above and beyond with caring for my house as well. My cats toys got lost in our move, and she even offered to bring her own. I can’t say enough good things!
Jennifer gave me complete peace of mind while I was out of state for my cat! She gave awesome updates in rover, spent time trying to get to know my very shy kitty, and left my apartment very clean. Great communication and super sweet person. Couldn’t recommend more

We are truly grateful for Hillary's wonderful care of our cats. She was so attentive to every detail we asked for and quickly gained their trust. We genuinely appreciate her helping us feel at ease while we were away. Hillary also shared very helpful information every single day.

Victoria was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly communicative, sent lots of updates and pictures. She was so sweet, thoughtful, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. I could tell she genuinely cared for my cat, and I will definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!

Sophia has cat sat for me twice now, and she’s been wonderful both times. She is very communicative, attentive, and clearly cares a lot about the animals she watches. She took great care of my cats, followed their specific food needs carefully, and made sure to spend time playing with them as well. I always felt updated and reassured while I was away. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Del Rio. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
