She's very caring and considerate about all the little quirks and needs of a pet. She was very proactive with the updates, she had video calls to help me talk to my pet. She kept my house spotless, I would 100% recommend her to anyone and hope that she is able to care for my pupper again.”

“Mariana was an absolute gem! She cared for our two dogs in-home and immediately made them feel comfortable with her warm, friendly, and loving energy. She kept us updated with adorable photo check-ins and her communication was always clear and prompt. Our pups were happy and relaxed when we returned—it’s clear she treated them like her own. I’ll definitely be booking her again!!”

About: Dedicated pet caregiver for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I prioritize safety and clear communication, ensuring every walk includes; •fresh water •paw checks •real-time updates for owners •treats. Whether it’s a high-energy hike for a young pup or a slow, patient stroll for a senior, I tailor every outing to the dog's specific health needs and personality. My daily routine is highly flexible, allowing me to provide attentive care throughout the day. I’m a stay at home mom, I can offer frequent check-ins and mid-day companionship that fits perfectly into a dog's natural rhythm of rest and play. My weekly schedule is designed to accommodate both recurring walks and last-minute needs, ensuring that your pet never has to wait long for a bathroom break or a bit of love. • Security First: Strict adherence to key handling, alarm codes, and gate safety to keep your home and pet secure. • Health & Hygiene: Muddy paw cleanup, fresh water at every visit • Home Maintenance: I’m happy to bring in the mail, water a few plants, or rotate lights to keep your home looking lived-in while you're traveling. • Communication: Real-time updates via text or app after every visit, including 'report cards' and photos.
“Could not have asked for more from Patrick! He was extremely easy to work with and did a fantastic job watching my dog Koda for 8 nights. He sent frequent updates with pictures, videos and even went above and beyond to give Koda a bath. He was very responsive and made me feel so at ease. I will definitely book with him again!”

About: Growing up, I’ve always been and loved being around dogs, whether they were my neighbors, friends, or my own! I have years of experience taking care of pups of all sizes, and i’m a proud chocolate lab/pitbull mix owner! Before graduating college, I used to volunteer at the humane society every month, which is where I adopted my own, Cooper! I am currently working part-time, and available during the week, but can still pup sit on the weekends if necessary! My schedule is very flexible!! I love long dog walks to stay active, and I do have a lab that loves other dogs, but prefer to pup sit at the clients’ houses
“Ashley was wonderful! My cat was completely comfortable with her right away. It was also nice to know that she's a vet tech so she's experienced with animals. She checked in with me and sent pictures. She stayed overnight a few nights and took great care of my home - even took out the trash. :)”

About: Hi! My name is Lindsey, and I love caring for animals. I have experience raising and caring for my own 3-year-old chocolate lab, who is very friendly and loves to play with other dogs. I have been neighborhood dog walking since elementary school and have helped my friends/family with their pets as long as I can remember. When caring for your pet, my top priorities are safety, consistency, and communication. I will follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible, make sure they get plenty of exercise and attention, and ensure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for. Whether it’s walks, playtime, time at the dog beach, or relaxing at home, I want your pet to have a fun and stress-free experience. I work full-time in person, so I’m typically available in the mornings for drop-offs, pick-ups, and meet-and-greets, as well as most weekends. I can be booked for early mornings, late nights, and weekends. On weekdays I'm available 5AM-7AM and 5:30AM-11PM on weekends (with notice). I have pretty open availability with enough notice and would love to help you out and spend time with your animals! I treat every animal as if they were my own and will always keep you updated for peace of mind. I currently work a typical full time job. I leave for work around 7:15 am and get home around 5:30. I go on a mile walk in the morning and long walks every evening. Sometimes we even go to the dog beach to play some fetch :) No matter where they are cared for (your place or mine) I ensure pets are comfortable, safe and get plenty of hugs! I like to stick to their usual routine as much as possible to ensure low stress.

I’ve had cats, dogs, lizards, turtles, etc! everyone around me knows my love for animals and asks me questions about their own pets if they don’t know something. My dream is to have a huge farm filled with a bunch of animals. Animals will always be part of who i am :) I currently have a full time job from Tues-Sat so I am available mornings those days, Sunday and Monday all day to care for your babies :) I always treat peoples pets as if they were my own, giving them the care they need if it’s food, cuddles, or walks! whatever the precious pet needs!
“Jaden is so amazing!! My dog Daisy loved her so much and I cannot wait to book again. Also my apartment was left so clean and I received a bunch of photos throughout my trip which really eased all of my anxiety. Would 10000% recommend Jaden!!”

“Katie was the best sitter ever!! She was so reliable and took such good care of my three dogs. She didn’t just let them out for a quick potty, every time she stopped by she spent lots of time with them keeping them company. She also sent so many photos that made me feel really secure about their well being. I will absolutely use Katie again! If you’re protective about your pets and want the best care possible- book with Katie!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! Nikki was absolutely amazing from start to finish. From the moment she arrived, I felt completely at ease leaving my dog in her care. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure he felt comfortable and safe in his own home. Throughout the day, Nikki kept me constantly updated with messages and the sweetest photos, which honestly meant so much to me. I could tell my dog was relaxed, happy, and getting lots of love and attention. She followed all of my instructions perfectly and made sure his routine stayed consistent, which I really appreciated. Rylie looked after our two dogs over the 4th of July weekend. Between the fireworks and the constant thunderstorms they were two very anxious dogs, but Rylie took great care of them. We really appreciate how well she takes care of them - we never have to worry anytime we go away ❤️

The boys really love Jasmin! They did really well w/ a meet and greet, and immediately took to her. For the overnight stay, she was a great communicator with the updates and pictures. My boys, who are normally hesitant about strangers, had fun with her, and get excited when I say her name. Look forward to booking Jasmin again, as she’s a very kind, sweet and responsible person. She eases the anxiety of leaving your babies overnight.

I can’t even begin to explain how amazing Rico was during our 2 weeks away from our beloved pup. I’ve read reviews saying “my dog might like Rico more than me” and I agree😂 Our dog definitely built a strong bond with Rico. He would send updates, report cards, and pics/videos DAILY! He didn’t just dog sit but he spent time training, nurturing and caring for our boy. He was very thorough and even asked questions that I didn’t think of! Very trustworthy, reliable and professional. 100/10 recommend (but beware your dog may not want you to come back😂) !! Signing up for training sessions ASAP. He’s awesome!

This was our first time booking with Rover and with Kristy. We booked her for over a week of overnight stays and she was incredibly compassionate and kind to our very shy & timid cat. We felt very secure being out of town knowing Kristy was at the house taking caring of it and our cat as if it was here own. Highly recommend.

Sam is a Godsend. She is responsive, reliable, and takes such excellent care of my little girl. I hesitate to leave her this glowing review - not because she doesn’t deserve it, but because I don’t want her to get so busy that she won’t always be available when I need her. 😂 Faith and I just love her.

Christine is always great with Cole - She did a great job with staying overnight with him. It was the first time we have left him since we adopted him. I was not worried at all while we were away and appreciate all Christine did to take the best care of our sweet Cole.

Casey was absolutely amazing with my dogs, Hank and Lola, while I was out of town for Thanksgiving. He was reliable, attentive, and clearly loves what he does. I felt completely at ease knowing my dogs were in such great hands. He followed all care instructions perfectly, kept me updated, and went above and beyond to make sure Hank and Lola were happy and comfortable. I came home to two very content pups, which says it all. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Casey again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!

Jacee was amazing with Jax and Daisy! She gave plenty of updates and photos, which made me feel so at ease while I was away. She followed all instructions and was flexible! It’s clear she genuinely cares and goes above and beyond to make sure pups are comfortable and happy (and me). The pups were relaxed and well cared for. I would definitely book with Jacee again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and kind sitter!

I reached out to Megan the day before a work trip (after usually sitter cancelled). Not only did she respond quickly, but she made herself available to meet that same day. While I was gone she took great care of both my pup and my house, and based off the pictures I think my dog was more excited to see her than he is with me 🤷♂️ Point being - Megan is reliable, trustworthy, and has a huge heart for animals. Thank you again!! 🫶🫶

AnneMarie & Elyse did an excellent job! This was my first time to use Rover and have someone house sit and they put my mind at ease from the start. AnneMarie went above and beyond the call of duty. My dog and house were found in excellent condition upon my return home. I would definitely use them again if they were not returning to school.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Town 'n' Country on Rover is $53.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 4,478 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Town 'n' Country. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Town 'n' Country walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Town 'n' Country maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Town 'n' Country choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Town 'n' Country. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
