About: We love animals very much, but we don't have any of our own. That’s why we look after our friends' pets. They leave their beloved animals with me for a week when they go on vacation, knowing they are in safe, loving hands. We have a camera in our apartment so we always are able to check your pets, even when we go to supermarket. I work from home, so I can give your pets plenty of attention. I can take them for walks more often than usual, play with them throughout the day, and shower them with love. I follow all feeding instructions. We are available on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. We live in an apartment with minimal furniture, safe for your pets, but we also have a large community area and a bark park. We allow sleeping on the sofa. About: For the last 5 years, I co-managed a highly-rated Rover account and raised our family dogs for 7 years. Following a recent separation, I am starting fresh on my own profile. I deeply miss having dogs in my daily life, which means your pup gets 100% of my focus, a quiet home, and years of seasoned, professional pet-care experience! This fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I work from home full-time, meaning I am always here to provide constant supervision, companionship, and a structured schedule. Because I work a standard desk job, having a guest dog in my home acts as a quiet, natural companion in the background of my workday. Having co-managed a high-volume Rover account for 5 years and being a dog owner myself for 7, I am incredibly accustomed to balancing professional desk work with regular potty breaks, structured play, and affection without any disruption to my focus. Your dog will never be left alone, and my schedule is perfectly set up to treat them like a VIP member of my household throughout the day. I provide a calm, safe, and clean environment where pets receive plenty of attention and care. I follow each owner’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any medications or special instructions. Pets are never left alone for extended periods, and I make sure they always have fresh water, a comfortable place to rest, and regular bathroom breaks. I also provide updates with photos so owners know their pets are happy and well cared for. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, secure, and at home during their stay.
About: I have volunteered at pet shelters, boarded and babysat dogs, and have encountered all different types of behaviors. All of them need love and attention. I’m working part time remotely and have plenty of time to take care of pets. I am available everyday of the week to follow any schedule or routine that your pet might need. I can take pets on short or long walks, spend time with them, and adhere to any routine that your pet finds comfortable. I can keep you updated on your pets day as well.
“AJ has been wonderful with our dog Josie! He has been so patient and kind with her and let her go at her own pace. She has had several visits and is getting more comfortable each time. AJ, Trish, and Goose are tremendous hosts. AJ is the bomb! I strongly recommend him and his family for doggie daycare.”

“10/10 recommend! Athena and Richi took care of my pup for a few hours while I was at an event, and they did a very good job. They were also very responsive prior to booking and very responsive up until the day of camp. I received a ton of pictures and felt calm that my dog was in such good hands while I was gone.”

“Shannon and his family were so welcoming and kind to the both of us. I was sent pictures and videos of him while he was in their care. For this being his first sitter experience he was a bit shy at first but they made sure he was comfortable and had a great time with lots of pets😊 His dog Poppy was also a sweetheart for taking Maui under her wing to ensure he felt safe around the other dogs as well. Thank you so much for creating a safe & fun place for my pupas!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Westwood Lakes
Our pup received the warmest welcome at our meet and greet. Laura definitely has a knack with fur babies and it is easy to tell she has years of experience with them. We looked forward to scheduling a daycare date. Thankfully, she was available during the time of my Mom's visit which enabled the two of us to enjoy our day of shopping. (Mom is fussy with her granddog and fully approved of Laura's care admiring the way she looked after him.) We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found Laura and her family. We appreciated the photos throughout the day (adored the ones with belly rubs from her sons) and up-to-date communications. Thank you, Laura.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
