About: My love for animals has shaped so much of my life. For as long as I can remember, lost and stray animals have had a way of finding me, and I’ve made it my mission to help them get safely home or receive the care they need. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to spend a year volunteering with a street-animal rescue organization in St. Maarten. The number of stray dogs and cats throughout the Caribbean is heartbreaking, and the animals arrived in many different conditions. Some were feral and needed to be safely trapped, socialized, and rehabilitated. Others were orphaned puppies and kittens requiring hand-feeding, while many were former pets who had been abandoned, malnourished, or injured. I helped care for these animals and prepare them for foster and forever homes—either on the island or, with the help of volunteer escorts, in loving homes around the world. It was challenging, deeply meaningful, and the most rewarding work I have ever done. My last pet was the love of my life, Sophie, a Tibetan Spaniel who was by my side for almost 17 years. She traveled with me by plane, sailboat, and RV and experienced more places and adventures than many people do in a lifetime. I miss her every day and remain incredibly grateful to have shared my life with such a special soul. Now that I’m settled in Palm Harbor, Florida, I’m not quite ready to welcome another pet of my own. Instead, I’ve chosen to follow my passion by helping care for yours. Because I work remotely, I have the flexibility to provide attentive, dependable care and plenty of companionship. I would be honored to care for your pet with the same patience, affection, and devotion I gave Sophie. I look forward to meeting you and your beloved companion.❤️❤️ I am currently self- employed, working from home with a very flexible schedule. I am available 7 days a week to care for your beloved pet. You pet's safety is my highest priority, and I will love and care for them as if they were my own. I am very careful while pet-sitting/walking. No escaping on my watch. I will always have your pup on a leash while in my care. That is a must for me. While I no longer offer daycare in my home, I provide personalized house-sitting services in your pet's familiar environment to ensure their comfort and safety. I would like to know all about your preferences in order to make the stay to your liking. My goal is to create a comfortable and soothing environment for your pet while they're with me in your home. My experience includes administering various types of medications, making me proficient in caring for dogs with special medical needs. Whether your dog is a playful puppy, a senior needing gentle care, or has a specific temperament or medication requirement, I have it all under my belt.

“Lana took exceptional care of Oliver. Her home is very clean and perfectly comfortable for a pup to play, rest, and visit with Lana's 3 year old. (Who was very sweet to Ollie) The surrounding neiborhood is very nice and full of green space for picturesque walks. Lana is a wonderful communicator and a talented photographer, she took an awesome picture of Oliver which my husband promptly made his profile picture. In my opinion anyone would be lucky to have Lana babysit their pet.”

About: For the last 5 years, I co-managed a highly-rated Rover account and raised our family dogs for 7 years. Following a recent separation, I am starting fresh on my own profile. I deeply miss having dogs in my daily life, which means your pup gets 100% of my focus, a quiet home, and years of seasoned, professional pet-care experience! This fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I work from home full-time, meaning I am always here to provide constant supervision, companionship, and a structured schedule. Because I work a standard desk job, having a guest dog in my home acts as a quiet, natural companion in the background of my workday. Having co-managed a high-volume Rover account for 5 years and being a dog owner myself for 7, I am incredibly accustomed to balancing professional desk work with regular potty breaks, structured play, and affection without any disruption to my focus. Your dog will never be left alone, and my schedule is perfectly set up to treat them like a VIP member of my household throughout the day. I provide a calm, safe, and clean environment where pets receive plenty of attention and care. I follow each owner’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any medications or special instructions. Pets are never left alone for extended periods, and I make sure they always have fresh water, a comfortable place to rest, and regular bathroom breaks. I also provide updates with photos so owners know their pets are happy and well cared for. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, secure, and at home during their stay.
“Adriana was so sweet with my senior pup, making sure he had plenty of water and outdoor time but respecting that he doesn't like to be out long in the heat. I really appreciated the regular photos and check-ins! I feel super comfortable leaving him with her.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Westwood Lakes
Our pup received the warmest welcome at our meet and greet. Laura definitely has a knack with fur babies and it is easy to tell she has years of experience with them. We looked forward to scheduling a daycare date. Thankfully, she was available during the time of my Mom's visit which enabled the two of us to enjoy our day of shopping. (Mom is fussy with her granddog and fully approved of Laura's care admiring the way she looked after him.) We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found Laura and her family. We appreciated the photos throughout the day (adored the ones with belly rubs from her sons) and up-to-date communications. Thank you, Laura.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
