About: I have always had a pet, even when I was a child. When my dog of 17 years passed away I began fostering dogs. I could not stand not having one around to take care of. Now that we have adopted a dog I love pet sitting. Its something I have always done for my friends and family. Fostering gave me a lot of experience with different personality types. I have also gained experience with seniors and puppies. I am currently a stay at home Mom so I have plenty of time to take care of your pet. I am home most of the time and can let them out every couple hours. I love taking walks as well. I have a backyard but it is not fenced, so I will let them out on a leash. I have a 1 year old minature poodle who is obsessed with other dogs. I have two young children who are very respectful of dogs from our time fostering.
“This was the first time using this service, better yet the first time I left my canine children with someone other than my family or trusted friend. I picked the right person for the job. Emelina is the best. She came in and took great care of my babies. From the pics she sent, everyday, they were happy with the pick as well. I will definitely use Emelina again.”

About: My experience includes dog walking, overnight pet sitting, feeding schedules, playtime, and making sure pets feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. I also have experience for bearded dragons and other reptiles, including feeding, habitat care, and handling routines. As a pet owner myself with both a dog and a lizard, I understand how important it is to give pets patience, attention, and proper care. I’m reliable, responsible, and able to carefully follow any instructions to make sure every pet gets the best care possible. Pet care fits perfectly into my schedule because I had just graduated and will have a very open and flexible availability. Since I’ll have extra free time, I’m able to be dependable, responsive, and give pets lots of attention and care throughout the day. I regularly walk and care for my own dog, and spending so much time with him has definitely made me his favorite person in the house.
About: I have spent the last 10 years caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Friends, family, and neighbors have always counted on me for walking, feeding, bathing, and specialized attention. My vet tech training gives me a deep understanding of animal behavior, wellness, and safety. Whether your dog needs high energy play, precise medication administration, gentle senior care, or just a quiet companion while you’re away, I treat every pet with the highest standard of individual care. I prioritize clear communication and regular photo updates so you can enjoy total peace of mind. Pet care is a seamless part of my daily routine! I structure my days around consistent feeding, potty breaks, play sessions, and walks. Because my work schedule offers strong flexibility, I am able to give pets full focus, adhere strictly to your routine, and provide frequent status and photo updates throughout the day. Safety is my top priority. My vet tech background allows me to spot subtle signs of stress or illness and maintain a secure environment at all times. When caring for pets in your home, I strictly follow all entry, security, and feeding instructions while keeping your space tidy. If hosting at my home, pets enjoy a safe, supervised, and comfortable environment with plenty of structured care and attention.

About: I have been a dog parent for over 25 years. As retired Air Force member, I took my dogs with me wherever I was stationed from California to Portugal. One of my favorite dogs was one we rescued and had to train because he didn’t even know his name. I did that through the PetsSmart program. He thrived and we became the best of friends. I took him to open fields to run knowing he was disciplined enough to come running back. I’d love to be able to care for other dogs in the same way I did my own. Both my wife and I are now retired and have plenty of time to care for the pets in our home. We are also empty nesters and can give all of our attention to them. I have a small fenced in yard, but still walk dogs a few times each day. Most of the time the dogs in my care are close by inside of my home.
“I couldn’t be happier with the care Jaritza provided for my dog! She went above and beyond to ensure my pup was comfortable, happy, and well taken care of. I received plenty of pictures and updates, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that my dog was loved and treated like family. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter. Will definitely book again!”

“Thanks so much for coming through when really need too. You can tell Akita was well taken care of. No worries at all if he worried or concerned he contacts you. Thanks will definitely rebook”

“Sarah has become a regular in our lives! She is so great with my pup and takes such good care of her. I feel such a relief knowing Sarah spends time with our girl and I don’t have to worry about her while I’m gone. And Sarah always goes above and beyond if her schedule permits — to the point that I had her just hang out with our puppy for two hours for no other reason than to keep an eye on her because our pup had to wear a onesie. 😂”

“Michelle did a great job with Nikki, playing with her and greeting her right away and really persisting on engaging Nikki. Nikki had a great time with her. Thanks, Michelle!”

I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, making it easy to provide consistent care throughout the day. I always prioritize safety by keeping doors securely closed, using proper leashes during walks, and staying aware of their behavior to prevent any potential issues. My goal is to provide a caring and secure experience that helps pets feel safe, happy, and loved.
“Veronica was very great at communicating with us while we were away and she took care of our buddy. He is an anxious boy and that makes us even more anxious when we’re away from him. She definitely made it easier on us!”

“Patrick watched our dog while we were out of town for a few days. He was wonderful! Perfect communication, always on time, and went above and beyond! He was gentle and kind with our dog and took special care when our dog was scared during thunderstorms. We will definitely be using Patrick's services again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wesley Chapel
I feel so lucky to have found Abigail! She is so sweet and clearly an animal lover. She's very professional. She came to the house before my trip to meet the pets and see what she'll need to do while I'm gone. Every day she let me know how the pets are doing as well as any updates for the house. My cats are extremely shy and Abigail spent extra time sitting quiet near them and very slowly earning their trust to the point they ended up coming to her for pets and treats by the time my trip was over. I hope to be able to book Abigail for all my future trips!

I had a last minute work trip and was very hesitant as a 1st time Rover user. Especially, since I have a kitten and a senior cat with different personalities and needs. Angel was absolutely the best and kept excellent communication with me. Both cats were well taken care of, she was able to get pics of my shy senior under my bed and alerted me when 1 of my water foundations stop working. Incredibly thankful to have found her on Rover.

Avery was a fantastic choice to look after our 4 month old puppy while my wife and I were at work. She is punctual, followed our directions and instructions closely and with care for our puppy, and took wonderful care of our girl. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for help with their furry family members!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
