“When our Jed met Jaritza, it was love at first sight. Our Jeddy knew she was there to take good care of him as she did. I felt very comfortable since the day they met and she did a great job making sure he had his play time and a long walk. She went above and beyond by agreeing on my daughter’s request of putting some milk and cookies for Santa 🎅 on Christmas Day 🎄. Thank you Jaritza for your kindness.”

“She was recommended to us by our previous pet sitter who moved away, and we couldn’t be happier. She was able to accommodate a same-day drop-in when we were in a pinch. She did everything we asked and went above and beyond, and she sent lots of lovely pictures! We will definitely be using her again in the future.”

“Elizabeth takes such good care of our cat and we appreciate her so much! She is caring, kind and you never have to worry when she’s taking care of your pet. Thank you so much for watching our boy - he was so happy to see you again!”

About: What sets me apart is the amount of time and attention I can give each pet. Since I work from home, pets in my care receive frequent potty breaks, companionship, supervision, and plenty of affection throughout the day. I understand that every pet has unique needs and routines, and I take the time to follow owners' instructions carefully, so pets feel safe, comfortable, and love while they're away. I pride myself on being reliable communicative and treating every pet as if they were my own. I have experience with my own pets, from their puppy stage until their current senior years. In addition, I have administered daily oral, intravenous, and eye medications to my pets. I currently work from home, so your pets can sit with me all day. They will have consistent supervision, frequent potty breaks, regular walks, and plenty of companionship throughout the day. Pet care fits naturally around my workday without interfering with my job and will rarely be left alone. Pets will receive attention, exercise and care from morning through bedtime. I have a fenced yard, an older male Shih Tzu, and a young male Tuxedo cat. I am reliable and will communicate with pet parents as requested. Frequent updates and photos will be provided. I have experience with my own pets with giving medications, recognizing signs of illness, and reading pet body language.
“I feel so lucky to have found Brittany to check in on our cat, Wilson, while we were away! Great communication with lots of pictures and videos. Wilson was well loved and the house was tidy when we returned. Highly recommend Brittany for your pet sitting needs!”

“Kaitlyn is great! She did a good job helping with my babies when I had a long day away. I will definitely be using her services again in the future. Thanks Kaitlyn!”

About: My name is Trey. I have loved animals as long as I can remember. I have a large variety of experience taking care of animals ranging from dogs and cats to rabbits and guinea pigs. I try to be attentive to owner requests and pet needs and I would be honored to take care of your furry friend. I am currently home for the summer until I head off for college in the fall. This means my schedule is very flexible and I can work around your pets' needs. I currently have one dog and one cat. I help administer medicine, care for their needs and clean up after them. I love playing with them and giving them extra attention whenever I can as well.
“Kelli was awesome with the dogs. She visited them twice and gave them long walks and a little jog. She also gave us updates of her visit and how the dogs were doing. We will definitely use Kelli again and we highly recommend her!”

“Alayna is amazing with our two cats - she’s the best sitter we’ve ever had! Trustworthy, punctual, reliable, and really great with them! I know they’re excited to see her when she drops in for her visits! Thanks so much as always!”

About: I have over 2 1/2 years of experience as a trusted pet sitter in my previous community, where I cared for a variety of pets with different needs. What sets me apart is my dedication to providing personalized care and attention to every pet, ensuring they feel safe and loved while you’re away. I have experience with everything from energetic puppies to senior pets, tailoring my approach to their specific routines and needs. My top priority is always the safety, comfort, and happiness of the pets in my care. Pet sitting fits perfectly into my schedule because I work full-time with a flexible, hybrid setup. I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, making it easy to provide consistent care throughout the day. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, I go into the office only for half days in the mornings, which still leaves me plenty of time in the afternoons and evenings to care for your pets. My job allows me the flexibility to ensure that your pets receive the attention and care they need, without any disruptions. When caring for pets, whether in my home or my client’s home, safety and trust are my top priorities. In my home, I create a comfortable, pet-friendly environment that is free from hazards and provides plenty of space for pets to relax and play. I ensure that they are supervised at all times and follow their normal routines to minimize stress. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I maintain the same level of care and attentiveness. I make sure to follow any specific instructions provided by the owner, ensuring their pets feel comfortable in their own environment. I always prioritize safety by keeping doors securely closed, using proper leashes during walks, and staying aware of their behavior to prevent any potential issues. My goal is to provide a caring and secure experience that helps pets feel safe, happy, and loved.
About: I've had dogs since I was a kid and currently have two beautiful doggies, tiger and Hazel and they are super friendly! We have a 5 acre fenced property with a pool so they will enjoy their stay with us! My hubby says I cannot have any more dogs so I am now offering to sit and walk other friendly dogs. My two dogs love having friends and play dates at our house! Daily I wake up at 6am and let them out and feed them and let them hang out until I leave for work around 9:30am and when our teenagers get home around 2pm they get let out again and hangout until I get off at 6 or 7pm. They get fed again and have playtime and then bedtime is around 9pm. My doggies do great on that schedule and they are very active and love to hangout with us on the pool deck area. I have three kids, Karin is 21, Natalie is 18 and Gus is 16 and they all love animals! We also have chickens and goats and we all take care of them as a family. I care for my pets inside of our home, we also have a huge kennel we built that has a built in water spout and a fan. The kennel has a roof and is shaded year round. We also let them inside and on the screened in pool deck. They have crates also which I will use from time to time but for the most part I let them free roam in the kitchen or living room and use a doggie gate to section them off so they dont get into anything. They usually just follow me around and watch me cook dinner. :)
About: Dogs are people too..... At least that's how I have always felt and our furry friend gets most all of the attention in our home. My husband and I just moved to Florida from Arkansas. Most of our neighbors there we met through our dogs and thought this could be a great opportunity to take advantage of my love of the outdoors and meet some new dogs - I mean people. I have trained & cared for my own doggies from puppy stage to end stage and have had the privilege to care for other's furry family members along the way - how can you not love those faces? I can be available for morning and or evening walks around your neighborhood and visits so I can spoil your dog (almost) as you would. I work from home so I can be somewhat flexible with you and your pet's schedule, making sure they get lots of attention and quality care! I will make sure your pup stays safe while walking the neighborhood or playing in the yard. Or that they get quality attention while you are away.
About: My experience includes dog walking, overnight pet sitting, feeding schedules, playtime, and making sure pets feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. I also have experience following detailed care instructions for bearded dragons and other reptiles, including feeding, habitat care, and handling routines. As a pet owner myself with both a dog and a lizard, I understand how important it is to give pets patience, attention, and proper care. I’m reliable, responsible, and able to carefully follow any instructions to make sure every pet gets the best care possible. Pet care fits perfectly into my schedule because I’m graduating soon and will have a very open and flexible availability. Since I’ll have extra free time, I’m able to be dependable, responsive, and give pets lots of attention and care throughout the day. As a reptile owner, I understand how important strict care is for animals like bearded dragons, including feeding, lighting, and habitat care. I also regularly walk and care for my own dog, and spending so much time with him has definitely made me his favorite person in the house.
About: I have cared for pups big and small, young (8 weeks) and old (13 years), sassy and chill! I love them all, and so far - they all love me too! I am also a photographer, so what better than receiving stunning photos of your babies while you are away! Self proclaimed belly rub expert! With two school aged children - week days between 9:30am-3pm are the best for my schedule at the moment. Available most weekends! I like to spend a fair amount of time with my clients because I believe social interaction and comfort is so important! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, so creating a safe and comforting environment comes naturally to me. I make sure my furry friends always have fresh food and water, clean spaces, and plenty of attention while also respecting their individual personalities and boundaries. Some pets love immediate cuddles, while others need time to feel comfortable, and I’m happy to meet them where they are!!
About: My lifelong experience with dogs has provided me with a deep understanding of their needs and behaviors. Growing up surrounded by six Labradors, a Golden Retriever, a German Shepherd, and two Yorkshire Terriers, I've gained invaluable insights into caring for dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments. What sets me apart as a sitter is not only my extensive experience with dogs but also my innate understanding of their individual personalities and requirements. Whether it's providing specialized care for seniors, or simply offering companionship, I approach each furry friend with dedication and empathy. I am committed to providing the same level of care and affection to your pets as I do to my own, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and loved in my care. As I’m now med student I’m doing to return to do ROVER when I’m back home for winter or summer break. I will have my schedule fully open to be with you bestie ensuring that get the necessary exercise and attention. For now I’m not going to have onboarding or day care options available but that can change de pending the situation. Feel free to reach me out! When I stay with pets they are just part of family. I ensure they receive plenty of love, attention, and activities to keep them happy and engaged. Whether it's playing, going for walks, or simply cuddling up together, pets are treated as cherished companions. I understand the importance of companionship, especially during weekdays, which is why I prefer not to leave pets alone during my care hours. Your pet's well-being and happiness are my top priorities, and I strive to provide a nurturing and enriching experience during their stay. When caring for pets in their own homes, my availability and level of care remain consistent. I prioritize creating a safe and comfortable environment, following any specific instructions provided by pet owners to ensure their pets receive personalized attention and care. I feel so lucky to have found Brittany to check in on our cat, Wilson, while we were away! Great communication with lots of pictures and videos. Wilson was well loved and the house was tidy when we returned. Highly recommend Brittany for your pet sitting needs!

Kristi is always so good to my baby Cheddar! She always allows her to warm up to her first before she forces her to do anything. Kristi always keeps me updated of how she is doing or if she has any problems. I appreciate her and her updates on my girl. She even did my dishes from my sink this time! Thank you so much Kristi.

Madlen is great! Highly recommend! She is knowledgeable on care for dogs and is very accommodating to any request needed. Oakley immediately felt comfortable with her which left me at peace. I will definitely be using Madlen frequently for my dog sitting/walking needs.

Alexandria was a godsend in a very dire situation. Our friend was badly hurt in a motorcycle accident and I reached out with an immediate need and she stepped up big time. I can’t recommend her enough. She was truly our angel of mercy. I am beyond grateful to her and how she handled the situation. I give her a 1000 star rating. She is who you want taking care of your fur babies.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
