“Larrielle was amazing with Remi! She is consistent and always on time. Not just someone that walks your dog but looks to actually build a relationship with your pup. She handles with care and love. She is also understanding - I got a bit busy and wasn’t able to let her in the house for a few. She sat patiently and sent a gentle reminder that she was there. So kind! I would 10 out of 10 recommend to everyone and we will absolutely only be working with her going forward with Remi. Thank you so much Larrielle!”

“Meagan was absolutely incredible! She needed almost no instruction and instantly put me at ease while we were away. Not only did she take amazing care of our cat, but she also handled an unexpected AC repair situation without any stress on our end. She kept everything spotless and sent thoughtful updates so I always knew our fur baby (and our house!) were in great hands. Truly above and beyond—Meagan is fantastic, and we’re so grateful for her! Highly recommend!”

“Tiffany was AMAZING!! She cared for our kittens and was so careful with the doors so they didn’t get out. She kept in touch with pictures and texts! Will be calling in her for our next trip!!”

“Such a great cat sitter. Kelli provided lots of communication and updates on my cats while I was away giving me such peace of mind. She was timely and considerate. I definitely will use her again in the future!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jaritza was absolutely AMAZING with Bentley while I was on vacation. She took incredible care of him, kept me updated, and made sure he was happy, comfortable, and well loved the entire time. We came home to a relaxed pup and a house that was in great shape, which says everything. It’s clear she genuinely cares and takes her responsibilities seriously. Trustworthy, kind, and reliable — I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. Highly recommend Jaritza to anyone looking for someone you can fully trust with your pet and your home!”

About: I have cared for pups big and small, young (8 weeks) and old (13 years), sassy and chill! I love them all, and so far - they all love me too! I am also a photographer, so what better than receiving stunning photos of your babies while you are away! Self proclaimed belly rub expert! With two school aged children - week days between 9:30am-3pm are the best for my schedule at the moment. Available most weekends! I like to spend a fair amount of time with my clients because I believe social interaction and comfort is so important! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, so creating a safe and comforting environment comes naturally to me. I make sure my furry friends always have fresh food and water, clean spaces, and plenty of attention while also respecting their individual personalities and boundaries. Some pets love immediate cuddles, while others need time to feel comfortable, and I’m happy to meet them where they are!!
“Arianna is amazing!! We have a reactive pup. She took the time to meet and greet Bear THREE times to make sure he was comfortable first before she did his drop ins. She is super gentle and very knowledgeable of doggy behavior. Would recommend 100%. We look forward to using her services again in the future!!”

About: I have 5 years experience in the animal field professionally. I have learned animal behavior and signs, I have learned patience and understanding, how to build a bond, and so much more. I am currently working 4 days a week. I have three days a week I can fit your pet care needs into schedule. I can also possibly schedule times around my job the other 4 days as I work a swing shift. I have two separate fences on my property and a secured dog room that leads to the year fencing area with AC, dog bed, access in and out, fan, access to water at all times inside with an automatic water bowl outside. I have a friendly, Neutered male Golden Retriever to keep them company if preferred, or there is plenty of space to keep them separate. None smoking and no small children. For your home visits, I would respect your space and rules as well as accommodate all your needs and request a n your home.
About: I work from home for my Fiance's business and have plenty of extra time. I have watched both cats and dogs before for friends, but am looking for more clientele. I work from home and have full availability and plenty of time to play with your pets! Let me know their favorite things to do! I'm able to let the dogs out as often as they need. “Once again, Mindi & Scott did an excellent job! They were very communicative, keeping me posted on my babies. I came home to happy, relaxing pets. I totally trust and recommend them for all fur babies”

I will take your dog out constantly and play fetch. I’ve taken care of dogs all my life and dog sitted for many people in the past. I enjoy caring for animal and would be happy to lend a hand when needed. In other homes I’ll treat your home and pet like my own. I’ll make sure to follow your pets schedule and any other instructions given.
“Melissa was an excellent sitter. She wrote me a thoughtful and detailed report of her care for my cat and included a lot of photos. Reyna needs her meals split into 4 portions and spaced out because she eats too fast and Melissa did a great job feeding her, loading her auto feeder, keeping the litter box and food tray clean and giving her love and attention. I felt comfortable with Melissa right away after meeting her. I highly recommend Melissa for any type of pet care needs! She has a lot of experience working with animals in the medical field as well as general pet care and is very personable and professional.”

About: Growing up, I always had dogs, cats, fish, turtles, lizards, you name it. Being around animals is what makes me happy. Now, I have a happy household of 5 cats, 3 outside kitties, and one blind pitty. I love my babies more than anything and I look forward to meeting and loving your babies as well. My philosophy is that I’ll take care of yours as if they’re mine. I’m currently a high school teacher on summer break and so my schedule is wide open. I have full availability and can work around any schedule. I have over an acre of land (fenced in) that my dog is able to enjoy and sun bathe in. I check water/food frequently as well as go outside and go on walks often to ensure my pup is entertained. I love playing tug of war with my boy, as he can’t see for fetch. As far as with my kitties, they have plenty of cat trees, toys, and feathers galore that they can chase and play with to their hearts content. Some may say that my babies are spoiled, I would agree with them whole heartedly.
“Elizabeth's patience with very shy kitties is beginning to pay off! They're starting to trust her. I'm grateful to have you taking care of my girls. THANK YOU!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
