“Alycia is AMAZING with our Georgia girl 🐶! She is one of the few I can trust with our fur baby. Alycia is reliable, caring, and keeps me updated with photos and messages while I am away. Georgia loves her dates with Alycia! She is happy, comfortable, and clearly well cared for the entire time. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing Georgia is in such good hands. I would absolutely recommend Alycia to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter!”

“Kate was amazing! Her introduction a week prior to our needing her was key. She is chill, honest, reliable and so loving! I’m pretty sure our Forty loves her more now! I should also mention she watched our house as well and left it spotless! Mad respect! We will be using Kate again! Thank you so much Kate!”

“We love and appreciate Heather so much for taking the best care of our fur baby! This was our first time having someone stay at our house while we went out of town and Heather did such an amazing job. She asked lots of questions and was very communicative with us. We will definitely ask her to watch our baby again in the future!”

“Blaise and Kendall were great with Betty. This was our first time using them after a recent move to a new part of town. It was comforting finding someone so close to home. They left our home in great shape. The bread and treats were a great gesture also. Will be using again.”

“Larrielle was absolutely wonderful with Reggie and Kona! Our boys have their quirks — Reggie with his independence and his medicine routine, Kona with his big personality in a little body — and she handled everything without skipping a beat. Multiple days of overnight stays - she is definitely 5 STARS!!! We came home to two happy, well-loved dogs and a house just as we left it -- if not cleaner. We felt completely at ease the whole trip knowing they were in such good hands with constant photo updates. We'd have her back in a heartbeat!”

About: Growing up, my family nicknamed me "Elly Mae" because I’ve always had a love for animals—From dogs and cats, to rats, rabbits and guinea pigs I’ve cared for just about every kind of creature you can imagine (domestic or slightly non)! As a mature, responsible caregiver, I come with a lifetime of hands-on experience, I’m comfortable with animals of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I’ve provided daily care, socialization, and even medical support—including administering oral and topical medications, giving insulin shots, and helping special-needs pets stay comfortable and happy. Whether your pet has fur, feathers, or legs galore, they’ll be in loving, capable hands with me. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life. I’m flexible and strive to work with your pet’s routine to ensure they feel safe, seen, and cared for. I care for most pets in the comfort of their own homes, where they feel safest and most secure. I always respect each pet’s routine and space, and I take the time to build trust—especially with shy or anxious animals. I'm gentle, patient, and attentive to their individual needs, whether it's medication, playtime, or just quiet companionship. For small, caged pets or very small dogs, I may be able to offer care in my home under special circumstances, with a clean, safe, and cozy environment ready to welcome them.

“Ashley is truly amazing with Ares! She not only arrives on time, but immediately jumps into caring for him — taking him on multiple walks, heading to the dog park first in the morning, play time, and keeps up with his scheduled routine. She also sends me multiple videos and photos throughout the day with important updates. We absolutely love having her watch our puppy!🩵”

“David was an excellent dog sitter for our two dogs. When he sent photos they looked so relaxed which is such a plus when you are leaving your dogs with someone. Thank you again for taking care of them!”

“I can’t recommend Tyler enough! He took such wonderful care of my pups while I was away. From the moment we met, I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in caring and capable hands. He went above and beyond—sending daily updates, photos, and making sure all of my pets' routines were followed to the letter. When I came home, my pets were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It’s such a relief to have someone I can trust 100% with my furry family members. If you’re looking for a reliable, kind, and attentive pet sitter, look no further than Tyler! Thank you again for everything—you’re a lifesaver!”

“Jayden enabled us to travel across the state to attend our grandson's high school graduation. It is obvious our pups love her and we had peace of mind while away. She left our home in perfect condition! I will definitely rebook Jayden when the need arises.”

“Maggie was great with our pups and made sure to send pictures and updates. She was especially carinh with our pup Bruce who gets extremely nervous and upset with thunderstorms. Definitely Recommend Maggie for all your pet sitting needs and we have already rebooked her.”

About: Ever since I was a young girl, I have always grown up with pets! I quickly realized how much love pets can bring. It was more than just dogs and cats. We had/have tortoises, fish, aquatic turtles, rabbits, birds, and bearded dragons! Animals provide unconditional love and it is the best thing ever! Now, as I'm older, I foster and rescue animals, such as cats/kittens and dogs/puppies. Actually, I kept some of those fosters! I love my pets so much. I have so many of them, I consider them my little family. I'd describe my personality as exciting, nurturing, and outgoing. I like working with animals because it brings a sense of peace from the outside world. They love unconditionally. I actually work for a dog boarding/doggy daycare business. It it seriously the best job ever. In my spare time, I like to go to theme parks, travel, foster and rescue animals, take my dogs to the dog park, and clean up all of the messes that my animals make! I am a full-time vet tech in the Wesley Chapel/Zephyrhills area! I have also worked at a boarding/doggy daycare business. I wake up next to my pets, and then go to work surrounded by animals. It is my favorite thing in the world. Other than that, I am taking care of my animals at home. Being a pet sitter, pet care taker, pet walker, etc. will be my priority! I have many fur babies! I also have birds and reptiles. My yard is fenced in with tall fencing and a nice yard that is shaded but also has sun. I take care of my pets and others like my life depends on it!
“Laura was excellent with our two dogs! She is pleasant, conscientious, genuinely cares about our dogs. They fell in love with her the first time they saw her! We will be using her in the future whenever we need someone. Thanks again Laura!”

About: I provide in-home boarding in a calm, cozy environment where your dog can truly relax and feel at home. I grew up surrounded by animals, so caring for them comes naturally to me . I’m very empathetic, patient, and genuinely attentive to their needs. My home is quiet and intentionally never overcrowded. I typically care for only 1–3 dogs at a time so I can give each one the attention they deserve. I’m also very thoughtful about which dogs stay together, making sure personalities match so everyone has a safe, stress-free experience. Every dog is different, and I take the time to understand their routine, personality, and preferences so they feel secure while you’re away. Pets are free to roam around the home and are never crated unless necessary — for example, if I step out briefly and they’re not used to being alone or tend to be a little destructive. My goal is always to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I have a beautiful, fenced outdoor patio where we spend a lot of time. Dogs are always supervised and get to enjoy fresh air, whether we’re relaxing, sunbathing, having a barbecue, or just letting them safely explore and play. If your dog enjoys walks and the weather allows (not too hot or rainy), I’m happy to take them out. I usually do walks in the mornings and afternoon after my work hours, keeping things calm and tailored to their pace. Dogs unde my care are treated like family, and honestly… a little like my own babies 🤍 I know how much your pet means to you, and I care for them with that same level of love, attention, and respect. I’m home most of the day running my business, so your pet will have consistent supervision and companionship. My entire household is made up of animal lovers, and we all make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for at all times. I’m also certified in Cat & Dog First Aid through the American Red Cross, so you can feel confident knowing your pet is in knowledgeable, capable hands. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind and give your pet a safe, loving place where they feel completely at ease. *****IMPORTANT****************************************************************************** For safety and comfort reasons, I kindly ask that all pet owner profiles and pet profiles be completed with clear photos and accurate information prior to booking requests. This helps create a safe, transparent, and comfortable experience for everyone involved — including myself, your pets, and my home environment. In some occasions, I may also require a meet & greet in a public place prior to confirming a booking, especially for first-time clients or when additional information is needed. Thank you for understanding and helping me maintain a safe and positive environment for all pets in my care ********************************************************************************************** Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and I’m here all day. I’m able to give frequent attention, potty breaks, and supervision. My home is spacious and never overcrowded, and I even have a spare room dedicated just to pets where they can relax, nap, or enjoy quiet time. With a fully fenced patio, safe playtime is part of our everyday rhythm. Caring for pets is part of my lifestyle, not just a service. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, pets are always supervised, and I maintain a calm, clean, and structured environment. Small pets enjoy a fully fenced patio for safe outdoor time, and I have a dedicated pet room where they can rest, eat, or decompress without stress or overcrowding. I follow each pet’s routine closely and make sure they always have fresh water, secure spaces, and gentle handling. I communicate often with owners and send regular updates so you always feel confident and connected while your pet is in my care.
“We were in Iceland for over a week and Morgann took great care of all our corgis and the tortoise. They got spoiled and I felt peace of mind when we were half a world away from them. Excited to use her again for future trips.”

“Ivette arrived early and sent videos throughout the day of my fur baby. I enjoyed receiving them and seeing how he enjoyed his time with her. I felt comfortable leaving him with her. I would recommend Ivette to petsit your fur baby. Thank you! April”

Arianna was absolutely phenomenal with our babies!! She kept us updated and sent pictures regularly! We have absolutely zero concerns and will absolutely use her for any of our family trips! Arianna thank you thank you for taking such good care of our zoo!! ♥️♥️😀😀

Brian really went out of his way to make sure our huskies had a fabulous time while he was pet sitting for us. Not only did he offer to do a meet and greet beforehand to make sure they would both be comfortable with him staying with them in our home while we went out of town, but he was also very sensitive to and accommodating towards our dogs’ separation anxiety and took extra time with them to make sure they were feeling lots of love and security with us out of the house. He truly is a top notch pet sitter and he also has quite a gift when it comes to photography! The photos he sent us throughout his time watching our pups were studio quality and you can really tell that he has a passion for what he does. Not only did he take wonderful care of our dogs but he also even fed some of the neighborhood birds that usually come visit our backyard throughout the day. His calming demeanor was perfect for our anxious pups and his attention to detail in following all of our instructions both in terms of medication management for the pups and special considerations for the house as a whole were second to none. You can rest assured that if you are looking for a great pet sitter that you need not look any further than Brian!!! You might even find that he goes the extra mile by feeding your neighborhood crows, putting your trash/recycling cans out when he noticed it was collection day, and bringing in packages from outside your front door. Plus he is very neat and tidy which is a huge bonus when he leaves the space looking better than he found it in every room he walks through. Definitely a 5 star rating if I have ever seen one!!!

Sarah was amazing. This was my first time leaving my dogs with a pet sitter and I was apprehensive. I had no reason to worry. Both dogs were very comfortable with her and I have one dog who has anxiety, and even he was at ease with Sarah. I received updates on a daily basis and Sarah was very communicative with letting me know how they were doing. And, my house was cleaner than when I left. Kiddos to Sarah. Will use her again.

Heather was amazing! After moving to Florida recently it has been hard for me to find someone that I trust with my dogs. Since day 1 of meeting Heather she was someone who I instantly felt I could trust. She was great with the dogs and remembered many of the details from our meet and greet. She is now my go to sitter for my babies when I have to travel!

Amy is, without a doubt, the best dog sitter we’ve ever had. We have a puppy and an older dog, and for a number of reasons, we don’t like boarding them at a facility or even sending them to another house. Amy brought her adorable pup with her and stayed with our dogs for five days, sharing pictures and check-ins that made us feel comforted and assured the entire time. Will book her again in a heartbeat!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Zephyrhills on Rover is $67.71 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 2,856 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Zephyrhills. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Zephyrhills walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Zephyrhills maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Zephyrhills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Zephyrhills. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
