“Alycia is AMAZING with our Georgia girl 🐶! She is one of the few I can trust with our fur baby. Alycia is reliable, caring, and keeps me updated with photos and messages while I am away. Georgia loves her dates with Alycia! She is happy, comfortable, and clearly well cared for the entire time. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing Georgia is in such good hands. I would absolutely recommend Alycia to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter!”

“Asja was absolutely incredible taking care of our two cats, Diesel and Nyx, and our English bulldog, Harley, while we were away in Europe. During her stay, Harley developed anxiety that caused her to get sick, but Asja’s attentiveness saved the day. She noticed right away that Harley was not feeling well, kept us fully informed with clear communication despite the distance, and handled taking her to the vet seamlessly. She stuck directly to the vet treatment plan and managed giving Harley her new medications without any issue. On top of managing Harley’s health, Asja went completely above and beyond when Harley had a few carpet accidents. She brought her own carpet cleaner and cleaned everything up so thoroughly that when we walked through the door, the house was spotless. It literally looked like no one had even been there. Being all the way in Europe could have been stressful, but we had zero stress about our animals because of how wonderful Asja was. If you need a sitter who is observant, reliable, communicative, and will care for your pets like her own, book Asja. We could not have asked for better care and will definitely be booking her again!”

“Larrielle was absolutely wonderful with Reggie and Kona! Our boys have their quirks — Reggie with his independence and his medicine routine, Kona with his big personality in a little body — and she handled everything without skipping a beat. Multiple days of overnight stays - she is definitely 5 STARS!!! We came home to two happy, well-loved dogs and a house just as we left it -- if not cleaner. We felt completely at ease the whole trip knowing they were in such good hands with constant photo updates. We'd have her back in a heartbeat!”

About: I have taking care of my own pets, friends and family for 5 years. I have experienced with puppies and their high energy levels to seniors who just want to chill and relax. Also, I have experienced with pets with anxiety, dogs and cats who just have surgery and are in need of recovery. I can administer their medications, give them their food, water and treats. I can chill on the couch, play, run, go in walks and give them full attention. I love every dog and cat and I treat them with the love and respect they deserve and as if they are were my own. I also feed my dog raw food so I am very comfortable with measuring and handling raw food. My schedule is flexible since I work part time from home and I have full control of my schedule so I can fit in your furry babies needs I have a fenced in yard so my dogs can freely roam around and use the bathroom. I also have two crates with beds and blankets to keep them nice and comfortable. I have a feeding schedule, I give a treat in the morning, some little healthy snacks in the afternoon and I serve dinner at 6pm. I take my dogs out to potty and we go on a walk in the afternoon or we do some running around in the yard or in the back. I try to keep the dogs calm and happy as much as I can.
“What an awesome sitter. Zeus and Holly adored her and usually when we are gone, she won’t eat. But with Makayla she was eating and being herself. We received pictures and updates, house was perfect. Will definitely be using her again and again and highly recommend her!! Thank you!!”

“Emma took great care of Archie while we were away for a long weekend. Her communication and energy were great. I got daily photos of my boy doing what he does best. Emma accommodated me for a last minute booking, which was much appreciated! Thanks Emma!”

“Kendal was an absolute dream. She was incredibly attentive to our fur babies, very communicative, and eased my anxiety of leaving one of our older cats who I haven’t left since she started her medication. All four of our animals have different personalities, schedules, and quirks, and she went out of her way to ensure they all didn’t miss a beat in our absence. I will definitely be rebooking with Kendal every time we’re in need of pet care.”

“This was the first time we ha Elizabeth watch our pup. Although it was only an overnight stay, our pup seems happy, all directions were followed, and she left the house with everything neat and clean. I would definitely give her a 👍thumbs up!”

“Jasmine was honestly such a blessing… I didn’t have to worry about my dogs at all and they were absolutely loved as if they were her own. I got constant updates and I felt very comfortable that I didn’t have to worry. She was super reliable and a pleasure I would definitely book again.”

About: i have always had a family animal, and i ended up being the one to care for it. i had kittens, cats, puppies, dogs, and bearded dragons, one time even a snake! All of which received amazing care up until they passed. Im currently working part-time about 32 hours on average a week. On days that i work i would come before im scheduled, on my hour lunch, and also when i get off work. Ive had to work with animal sitting around my work schedule before and will have no problem doing it for your animals as well. I am very observant and will make sure that absolutely nothing happens to your animals. And that they are cared for to my fullest extent.
“Kelly is absolutely amazing! She took such wonderful care of my very needy cat while I was away. From the beginning, she demonstrated a truly professional and thoughtful approach—following clear procedures and making sure every detail was handled with care. What I appreciated most was how consistently she sent me updates and photos, which really gave me peace of mind and made me feel connected even from afar. Knowing my cat was in such good hands let me relax completely during my time away. I couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter. Highly recommended!”

“Tonya took care of our house and our two dogs for 10 days. She was super responsive and attentive, making sure we aware when several unexpected issues arose. Our dogs adore her, and they received much better attention and care than boarding. We came home from vacation to happy, unstressed pups and we were able to vacation without anxiety about their care. Highly recommended!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Dade City North walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Dade City North maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dade City North choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
