“Melanie was fantastic with our Australian shepherd. She provided many updates throughout her stay, making us feel reassured he was in good hands. She followed our instructions and gave him lots of love. Will definitely have her sit him again!”

“Kyle did an amazing job taking care of our two dogs. They can be a handful, but Kyle was able to handle the task. He stayed in our home while we were on a business trip. Kyle kept us informed via text and videos. That was comforting to know what was happening daily. We will definitely be using Kyle’s services again on our next trip.”

“I'm totally speechless. Where do I even begin?! Wowwww🤩 I can confidently say you will have a very very hard time finding anyone as good at caring for your pup and your home than Jaedyn. She is so attentive, consistent and cares for your pup just like you would maybe even more. She ensures your dog and your house are clean! Your baby will have fun and be cared for 100% of the time. She keeps you updated with how they're doing, what they're doing, and sends you beautiful pics that are true masterpieces you will want to hang on your walls. I couldn't recommend her more. She truly lives for this and is extremely loving and experienced. Go see yourself! I've never been more comfortable having a stranger in my home let alone leaving my baby with someone I don’t know. She cares about you and your pet and is so considerate! My only regret is not finding her sooner🥹 SHE IS AMAZING!!!! 🥰🫶🏼🐾 5 stars for a rating feels like I’m insulting her! She deserves at least a 100 star rating💕 Thank you Jaedyn, you are forever my go to girl anytime I need a sitter!”

“Marla does a great job with all 3 of our pups and we love how much time she spends with them and the love and attention they get while we are away. Our house is always the same as hen e left and we love the fact we get a house and dog sitter all in one. Great communication”

“Adriana was amazing! Our dog is very nervous and has separation anxiety, and Adriana took the extra time and care to make sure she felt safe and well looked after. “As newcomers to the area, we were nervous about leaving our dogs with someone we didn’t know. Ashley put our minds at ease by sending regular updates and photos so we knew they were in great hands. When a few severe thunderstorms stressed one of our dogs, she reached out right away, asked all the right questions about how we normally would handle it and made sure our pup was as comfortable as possible. We appreciated her thoughtful communication and care she gave our dogs!”

“This was the first time we ha Elizabeth watch our pup. Although it was only an overnight stay, our pup seems happy, all directions were followed, and she left the house with everything neat and clean. I would definitely give her a 👍thumbs up!”

“Kate was amazing! Her introduction a week prior to our needing her was key. She is chill, honest, reliable and so loving! I’m pretty sure our Forty loves her more now! I should also mention she watched our house as well and left it spotless! Mad respect! We will be using Kate again! Thank you so much Kate!”

It was clear that Lucy was well cared for and received lots of attention and affection. I truly appreciated Neida’s professionalism, communication, and the love she showed my pup. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. Thank you, Neida! 🐾💕”

“Carola took wonderful care of our animals while housesitting for us! Our fur babies got to stay at home where they are comfortable, and we got to go on our trip and come back and not have to worry about dropping off or picking up our animals from somewhere else. Carola sent pictures every day and it was so reassuring to know everything was just fine and all of their needs were met.”

About: Growing up, my family nicknamed me "Elly Mae" because I’ve always had a love for animals—From dogs and cats, to rats, rabbits and guinea pigs I’ve cared for just about every kind of creature you can imagine (domestic or slightly non)! As a mature, responsible caregiver, I come with a lifetime of hands-on experience, I’m comfortable with animals of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I’ve provided daily care, socialization, and even medical support—including administering oral and topical medications, giving insulin shots, and helping special-needs pets stay comfortable and happy. Whether your pet has fur, feathers, or legs galore, they’ll be in loving, capable hands with me. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life. I’m flexible and strive to work with your pet’s routine to ensure they feel safe, seen, and cared for. I care for most pets in the comfort of their own homes, where they feel safest and most secure. I always respect each pet’s routine and space, and I take the time to build trust—especially with shy or anxious animals. I'm gentle, patient, and attentive to their individual needs, whether it's medication, playtime, or just quiet companionship. For small, caged pets or very small dogs, I may be able to offer care in my home under special circumstances, with a clean, safe, and cozy environment ready to welcome them.

Aleisha is a great pet sitter. She has dog sat for us numerous times and is always reliable and trust worthy. She sends pictures and updates daily. She is able to provide my dog his meds with ease. We were able to have our dog at our wedding because she offered transportation and dog sat during our ceremony. My dog loves her and we will miss her greatly❤️. 10/10 recommend

Elaina has taken care of Riley a few times now and she is just the absolute best. From our last minute requests to trying to plan in advance, she always makes it work. Riley loves Elaina so much we joke that she’s the favorite, but she truly takes care of her like she is one of her own. 100/10 recommend her!

Blaise was available pretty last minute and did an awesome job watching our 2 dogs and 2 cats! One of our dogs is diabetic and requires insulin and she asked all the right questions and knew exactly what to do with her injections! Our pets felt very comfortable with her and she communicated with us throughout her stay. She took great care of our house as well. Will definitely be rebooking 😊

Kalee was an exceptional sitter. She was punctual, kept me informed with multiple updates, and meticulously maintained our puppy’s schedule. She incorporated multiple walks, park visits, and included a progress report at the end of the visit. We have no complaints and are incredibly grateful for the level of care and attention she provided. We look forward to more at-home sittings with her! 🩵

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wesley Chapel South walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wesley Chapel South maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wesley Chapel South choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
