Because I’m not juggling another full-time commitment, I’m able to accommodate a variety of schedules, including weekdays, weekends, early mornings, evenings, and last-minute bookings when possible. Your pet’s needs will be a top priority, and you can feel confident knowing they’ll receive consistent, attentive care.

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs, medical conditions, allergies, routines, or unique quirks I should be aware of. The more I know, the better I can provide personalized, attentive care. It’s also very important that I’m informed of any history of behavioral concerns, including anxiety, reactivity, resource guarding, or aggression toward people or other animals. This helps ensure the safety and comfort of both your pet and myself. Open and honest communication is key. My goal is to create a positive, stress-free experience for everyone involved, and that starts with transparency. Please help me help you by sharing anything that will allow me to care for your pet confidently and safely.
A typical day
Animal enrichment is incredibly important to me. I want every pet in my care to feel happy, safe, and both mentally and physically stimulated. For dogs, our day will include a nice walk around the neighborhood where they can explore, sniff, and enjoy fresh air. We’ll also incorporate playtime with their favorite toys, light training reinforcement (if desired), and plenty of affection and attention. I tailor activity levels to each dog’s age, energy, and personality. For cats, enrichment looks a little different but is just as important. I love using interactive toys like laser pointers and feather wands to encourage movement and play. I’ll also make sure they have calm cuddle time if they’re affectionate or give them space if they prefer to rule the house independently. As we all know, cats have their own agenda, and I respect that. My goal is always to keep your pet engaged, comfortable, and cared for like they’re my own.

With over five years of professional zoological animal care experience, I’ve worked with a wide range of species of animals, including reptiles, birds, and both large and small mammals. In addition, I have over two decades worth of experience caring for domesticated animals like dogs, cats, hamsters, etc. Animals have always been a part of my life; as an only child, my childhood dog was my best friend & I was hired for the first time by my neighbor to pet sit her cat when I was 8 years old. Caring for animals is my passion. While I had to leave my zoo job to pursue a more stable career, I’m eager to fill that void by spending time with animals whenever I can! Whether they have fur, scales, or feathers, I enjoy hanging out and getting to know their personalities all the same. From training puppies and bottle-feeding newborn kittens to deworming goats and nursing elderly animals, I’ve done it all. No matter the species, size, or stage of life, I’m your go-to animal expert!

Katelyn is responsive and helped me out in a last minute favor to stop by and walk my dogs. We have used Katelyn a handful of times with dog walking and will leaving my dogs with her for 7 days and know they are in good hands.
Kate is great with my dogs and my dogs love her! You can tell how much of an animal lover she is! I highly recommend her.
