“I am truly impressed by the care and love you show to animals. Our dog, North, absolutely adores you and always enjoys his time with you. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of him!”

“Jaritza was great. She made sure our anxious husky felt comfortable during her care and gave us updates throughout the day. I’ll continue using her services in the future so I’ll definitely recommend her.”

“It’s our first time leaving our dogs, and had no worries since they would send pictures and text to let us know how they were doing. I would highly recommend pet sitting and boarding with them.”

“Even though the stay was only a few hours, it was clear that Monica was very attentive and observant. Chira has a slight shake in her right leg, and the fact that Monica noticed it really showed me how closely she pays attention to the dogs in her care. I am glad Sunny allowed Chira to occupy some of her space. Will definitely be back - this time for an overnight stay. Thanks to Monica and family”

About: I have been a dog parent for over 25 years. As retired Air Force member, I took my dogs with me wherever I was stationed from California to Portugal. One of my favorite dogs was one we rescued and had to train because he didn’t even know his name. I did that through the PetsSmart program. He thrived and we became the best of friends. I took him to open fields to run knowing he was disciplined enough to come running back. I’d love to be able to care for other dogs in the same way I did my own. Both my wife and I are now retired and have plenty of time to care for the pets in our home. We are also empty nesters and can give all of our attention to them. I have a small fenced in yard, but still walk dogs a few times each day. Most of the time the dogs in my care are close by inside of my home.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was about 15 and when I went off to college I was a dog walker/watcher for a few of the employees while they worked. I have watched 6 dogs at the same time before and all of my friends & family trust me to watch their pets. I work from home full-time so I am readily able to help with anything the pets need. Since I can work from wherever watching from my home or the pet owners home wouldn’t change anything in my normal routine. I have a fenced in yard and three very friendly, playful pups in the house. Plenty of space inside and outside for all pets to play around or even just relax. I love to play and snuggle all pets and am always on top of feeding or potty time.
About: I have 20 years of experience caring for dogs, from playful puppies to wise adults. Additionally, I’ve worked with a cat rescue, welcoming countless kitties into my home. As a mom of four (now all grown up) and a nurse, I know a thing or two about providing excellent care! 😊 My husband and I are home and have plenty of time to play with your pups. You're welcome to board any day of the week. We have a friendly senior dog ready to keep your furry friend company! Our spacious home features plenty of room to roam, toys to play with, beds to relax on and we have sidewalks perfect for enjoyable walks. If you have any special requests or needs, just let us know—we're more than happy to accommodate!

I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos, because I know peace of mind matters just as much for pet parents too 🐾 I work from home full-time, so I give pets in my care lots of attention, love, companionship, supervision, and regular potty breaks throughout the day. I treat every pet like family and do my best to create a loving and low-stress environment. I’m attentive to routines, feeding schedules, potty breaks, and each pet’s individual personality and needs.
“Elizabeth took the BEST care of our doggy. Biscuit is a senior dog and she was so attentive to his needs. Lots of photos and updates. He loved being on a farm and being able to have playtime with his new friends in the large fenced yard. He looked so relaxed and happy in every photo and video and I know he can’t wait to spend time there again. Highly recommend Elizabeth!”

“Julianne was amazing with our 9-month-old puppy! He spent three days in daycare at her apartment, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Julianne was fantastic with him — attentive, caring, and clearly comfortable with puppies. One of the highlights was that Kobe got to spend his days playing with her adorable dog, Molly, which he absolutely loved. Julianne also sent multiple updates and photos throughout each day, which I really appreciated. It was so nice being able to see my puppy while missing him and know he was happy and having fun. She gave us so much peace of mind knowing Kobe was not only well cared for, but also enjoying himself. I would highly recommend Julianne to anyone looking for a reliable and loving sitter, and I will definitely be using her again on my next work trip!”

“My puppy went to daycare today with Sarah. She took amazing care of him. I was updated throughout the day. I also got the cutest pictures. When he got home he seemed so happy and relaxed. I would recommend anyone needing a sitter to contact Sarah! She will love your pet as much as you:)”

“Carlos is clearly a dog lover. Not only watch our dog while we were away but also hung out with our Snowie treating him like his own. I’m super impressed and super happy to have found Carlos.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a great experience with this sitter! She took amazing care of Aspen over the two days and kept me updated, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Aspen can be a little particular at times, but she was very patient, attentive, and made sure she was comfortable. When I picked her up, Aspen was relaxed, happy, and clearly well taken care of. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. I would definitely book again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy sit”

“Amazing! This was my first time using Rover and it was last minute on my part. Gerard was responsive, kind, and accommodating. The dogs were in great hands. If I lived in the area, I would rebook without hesitation!”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Wesley Chapel South commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
