“Best experience! My dog had a great time she made it easy for him to settle in. Send lots of photos and even provided a bath bc she saw him itching!! Definitely rebooking!!! And you guys should book too!!!!”

“Mindi and Scott took really good care of Argus. They were able to accommodate my last minute request despite of a busy weekend. They gave me continuous updates on how Argus is doing and am pretty sure Argus had a good time with them too.”

“My flight got delayed several times and Trevor was very accommodating. He also sent updates regarding our pup who is still learning basic training skills. We appreciate his patience and care. Our pup had a blast at his house!”

“This was my first time leaving my dog for a couple of days with someone other than family. Janet was responsive and sent messages and pictures of my dog daily. I definitely recommend her.”

“Attikus had a wonderful stay at Rachelle’s house. She sent us lots of pics of our pup and was very kind to him.... He came home a happy dog ? . Would def book again ;).”

“We are so happy we found Jessica! Bella and Brutus had a wonderful time. The pictures sent to us were evidence of how well they were cared for. We are pretty picky when it comes to our baby and after a few interviews with other care givers had lost hope. Jessica and her family were the perfect fit.”

“Shirley was great! This was my first using rover for boarding, so I was nervous but Shirley made sure to communicate with me regularly and send photo and video updates. She also responded so quickly if I ever messaged her. I felt reassured that my fur baby was well taken care of and loved on in her home. I can tell that Khloe had a great time with Shirley. I will definitely be booking again in the future!”

“Miriam did a wonderful job taking care of our fur baby Prince. She sent lots of photos and had a great response time. There is no doubt that Prince was fully taken care of and made to feel as though he was right at home. We will definitely be booking with Miriam again! Thank you so much!”

“Nora and I loved Roxanne! Definitely using again. She went out of her way to meet Nora ahead, despite being last minute. Understood that Nora has some rescue quirks and took time to truly learn about her. She gave regular updates and pictures of Nora’s antics. Found the humor when Nora discovered how to open the front door and take her dog for a walk. Took her for outings too. After making sure it was ok. I felt so comfortable leaving her and know she was happy.”

“I cannot say enough great things about Kathy and her family. Our elderly pup had top notch love and care while we were away out of the country. Kathy sent us daily updates and pics and really put us at ease. When we picked our puppy up it was evident that she had been cared for and thet she had felt at home with Kathy. Thank you soooooo much.”

“I couldn't be happier with the love that Sunny got during his stay with Somer and her beautiful family! The pictures and updates i got daily truly kept my mind at ease that Sunny was getting the one on one care and attention that i give him. I highly recommend their services. Thank you Somer and Garrett! We will be back❤️”

“Neida is amazing ! I am very picky when it comes to leaving my girl, when I go out of town. But Neida hands down has been the best sitter I have left Chiquita with. I am beyond happy with the care my dog received. Neida was so attentive and truly treated my dog as if she were her own. I felt completely at ease knowing my dog was in such loving and capable hands, especially with having an issue with a cancellation of my flight back home, Neida did not hesitate on being able to stay with Chiquita a few more days till I came back home. I will absolutely be booking with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter.”

“Giovanni was fantastic! They were responsive, sent daily (sometimes multiple times per day) photos and videos, and even offered a grooming service so the dogs came home looking and smelling great. The backyard is such a great space for the dogs to play and get their energy out too.”

“Claudia and her family were amazing with Teddy! They treated him like their own, comforted him when thunder was scary, and gave him lots of outside play time and walks. Also communication was great. Highly recommend Claudia!”

“Pascal was in great hands! Right away she held him and made him feel safe. I got to see pictures and that was wonderful! He was in great spirits when we came to take him home.”

“Tina and Bill are awesome. My dog is very old and Has diabetes. He has stayed with Tina and Bill twice. They send me updates and pictures everyday. I’m very happy to have found a great place for him to stay when I’m away. My dog Scruffy has never stayed with anyone except family before and feels very at home with Tina and Bill. Julie & Scruffy”

Chelsie and her husband were absolutely amazing for my girl’s first time away from home. She kept me updated with photos and messages about how Luna was doing, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that my girl had a wonderful time and was well cared for. I would definitely book with her again without hesitation!

Tina was very proactive in sharing pictures, videos and updates on a daily basis. Juno was well cared for with his hygiene, daily walks and he was given his medication on time. I am very happy with the care she has given for my golden doodle. I am impressed with her quality of work and would love to take her assistance whenever our Juno needs to be taken care during our absence. She is very approachable, has eye for details and followed everything that was informed to her and much more. While picking up Juno, he was so happy to see us but he did go to Tina wagging his tail as if he was thanking her for being there for him before leaving with us. He has never done that before with anyone else. I could see the bonding they created with each other. She genuinely cares and has love for pets.

Nichole is an Amazing sitter! Great communication, lots of updates and pictures, and our pup looked so happy and well cared for. Usually when we would pick him up from a sitter he would just pull to get to the car to go home but, this time he jumped up on Nichole’s husband before we left which I believe was his way of saying thank you for taking good care of me. He seemed to feel at home with Nichole and her family and he was happy and himself when he got home. Highly recommend!

Rawle was great with GingerBread. He took good care of her and we would definitely use him again. He sent photos and gave updates regularly to put our mind at ease so we could enjoy our vacation. If you are looking for a good sitter while you are away, Rawle is your man!

Romina was absolutely phenomenal with my Pomeranian, Coco. From the very beginning, she was patient, attentive, and genuinely caring. She kept me completely at ease with frequent photo and video updates, while I was on my family cruise, which meant so much. Coco looked so happy and comfortable the entire time and the extra cuddles were clearly his favorite part. It’s rare to find someone who treats your dog like their own, but Romina truly does. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again! Thanks for making Coco feel at home!

This winter break was fantastic for Forest. He had the best time with Raven and friends. Gerard went above and beyond as a host, kindly welcoming Forest for an extended stay when our flight was cancelled and we couldn’t get home for days. The peace of mind of knowing our boy was safe, happy, and well cared for meant everything to us.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
