“Rawle and Lorraine are great! I can tell how much they love dogs. Communication was prompt, all directions were followed. I appreciated the follow up questions which affirmed that they are attentive and cared. They never left the house, which surely wasn't one of my expectations at all but it was nice to know they stayed and were fully present just in case of anything. I look forward to when I need them again!”

“Giovanni and his wife took great care of my elder dog while on a short trip. She never really leaves our home because we usually have some one come over to our place but this time we choose this place and we are so happy to have found this option! We will definitely be booking again ☺️”
“We had such a wonderful experience with Nastassia caring for our dog, Frankie! We felt completely comfortable leaving him in her care! She was incredibly communicative throughout his stay and kept us updated with frequent messages and adorable photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious Frankie was happy, comfortable, and so well cared for. Nastassia truly treated him like he was her own, and that meant so much to us. You can tell she genuinely loves animals and goes above and beyond to make sure they feel safe and loved. We are so grateful for how attentive and kind she was with Frankie and would absolutely trust her with him again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Scott and Renee were wonderful! Not only were they prompt in communications, they sent regular pictures of happy puppies! My girls look forward to staying with them again soon- they didn’t want to leave. :)”

“This was our second time leaving Oscar with CeCe, and he had an awesome time again! I loved getting daily videos of him playing with his friends while we were away. Thank you, CeCe, for taking such wonderful care of Oscar and always going above and beyond. We appreciate you so much! ❤️”

“Carolina was excellent. Sent pictures and daily updates. Rascal needed medication each day and she was very helpful. I would definitely recommend her as well as use her again.”

“My puppy loved staying with Dessire! She had lots of play time with her pup which she loved. Thank you so much for taking care of her, we look forward to next time!”

About: Loving Home Away From Home for Your Furry Family Member 🐾 New to Rover but eons of experience otherwise I've been raising and caring for dogs since I was 13 years old and have personally raised six dogs over the years. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I truly enjoy spending time with them, getting to know their unique personalities, and making them feel safe, happy, and loved. Your pup will have plenty of room to play in our large home and spacious fenced yard. Whether they love running around, playing fetch, going for walks, or simply relaxing and getting cuddles, they'll receive lots of attention and affection during their stay. My high school-aged son, who has been around and helping care for large dogs since he was 7 years old, is also a big animal lover and assists under my supervision. Together, we provide a caring, attentive environment where your dog will be treated like part of the family. Whether you're away for a day, a weekend, or an extended trip, you can relax knowing your furry friend is in good hands. We understand how important your pet is, and we'll make sure they're loved, exercised, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. We can't wait to meet your fur baby! I’m home most weekdays and weekends, so your furbaby will never be left alone for long. I have a friendly 2-year-old Malinois mix who loves company and can be a great companion for your pet during their stay. 🐾 Can play safely and enjoy plenty of outdoor time. Don’t worry—I’m very mindful of the weather and won’t let them stay outside when it’s too hot. If your dog is crate-trained or you prefer crate time, I’m happy to accommodate that as well. The choice is completely yours!
“This was our first time ever leaving our Rhodesian Ridgeback and our kitty with sitters. We were very nervous and therefore we took several months researching and finding the perfect sitters. Mary and Jerry are the perfect sitters. Every day we received photos and videos and updates on how our pets were doing. Mary and Jerry have a big fenced in yard where the dogs (ours, theirs and other visitors) could run and play and get really good exercise. Our kitty was very comfortable in their home as he had lots of places to perch or hide away if nervous. We would highly recommend Mary and Jerry as sitters and we know that our pets would feel comfortable to go back if there if we need sitters in the future. Thank you Mary and Jerry.”

“Another great stay with Elizabeth and her family. Our dog seems to do better each time she's there and Elizabeth helps to make sure it's the best stay possible.”

“Shirley was amazing! This is our first time using Rover and leaving our Frenchie with someone besides family and friends. We were a bit concerned about the process. However, once we met Shirley and our dog met her all those worries went away. She communicated extremely well. She sent us pictures and videos throughout the entire boarding. You can tell that she really cares about pets and provides great care. We will definitely book with her again.”

“Laura was absolutely wonderful! She took such excellent care of our dog, Jax, treating him like he was her own. I could tell he was happy, comfortable, and loved the entire time I was away. She sent regular updates and photos that gave me total peace of mind. It’s clear she truly loves what she does and goes above and beyond for the pets in her care. I seriously didn’t think he would want to leave when we picked him up! I can’t recommend her highly enough — we’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Best experience I ever had with any type of service. No wonder they have so many good reviews. I appreciate the daily updates and photos and how honest they all are. My flight got delayed and they were more than understanding regarding my situation. I had peace during my entire trip because I knew my dog was in good hands. He came home happy and I could tell he was very well rested.”

“Tina and Bill are awesome. My dog is very old and Has diabetes. He has stayed with Tina and Bill twice. They send me updates and pictures everyday. I’m very happy to have found a great place for him to stay when I’m away. My dog Scruffy has never stayed with anyone except family before and feels very at home with Tina and Bill. Julie & Scruffy”

“I was very happy with Janet’s personality and spirit. She truly loves the dogs. She walked me around her home and told me a story about each one. It was refreshing and comforting to leave my Koda with her while I worked a stressful shift. I highly recommend and will be using her consistently.”

“Mariangel did a great job taking care of our dog Stitch. He has separation anxiety, and she gave him lots of attention while we were gone. She sent me updates about how he was doing. I appreciate all the care she provided him.”

Elaine took good care of our dogs while we were gone. She responds so fast and updates daily with pictures. The kids enjoyed that. I ended up leaving a day early and getting back later than intended. Elaine accommodated me on both occasions. Thanks for the worry-free vacation! Will book again!

If you want your pup to feel like they are just visiting their second home away from home, look no further than with Julianne!! She took the best care of my dog, truly treating him as if he were her own. He got along so well with her and her sweet pup too, it was so sweet to see the daily updates and pics while we were away. I was just able to rest easy knowing he was in such good hands and felt so comfortable with her. I will always be reaching out to her whenever we have to go away on long trips. Thank you Julianne and Molly!!!

Nichole was such a great person to watch our puppy! She sent updates and pictures and defintley gave us reassurance while we were away that our puppy was in good hands. So nice and communicative and would 10000% recommended her to our friends and family and would rebook.
Monica was excellent with taking care of our dog Faith. She was prompt with communication and pictures and was very responsive. You could tell our dog was well looked after when we picked her up and we hope to use Monica again in the future. I highly recommend booking with her.

Romina was absolutely phenomenal with my Pomeranian, Coco. From the very beginning, she was patient, attentive, and genuinely caring. She kept me completely at ease with frequent photo and video updates, while I was on my family cruise, which meant so much. Coco looked so happy and comfortable the entire time and the extra cuddles were clearly his favorite part. It’s rare to find someone who treats your dog like their own, but Romina truly does. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again! Thanks for making Coco feel at home!

This winter break was fantastic for Forest. He had the best time with Raven and friends. Gerard went above and beyond as a host, kindly welcoming Forest for an extended stay when our flight was cancelled and we couldn’t get home for days. The peace of mind of knowing our boy was safe, happy, and well cared for meant everything to us.

Dani is by far the best pet sitter i have had and is ow exclusively the one I use. Not only is she professional in the way she handles everything she provides a service of love. My dog Shadow was very well taken care of. He loves spending all day and night with Dani. I recieved pics and notifications throughout the day. My little guy got to play, got to run around got treats and even got to relax and watch Hamilton on TV. I know he's looking foward to going back. Dani isnt a 5 star service she is 10 Mega sized Star Service. 100% best in Florida

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
