I work full-time from 7:30–4, but my husband works from home all week, so there is typically someone home with the dogs throughout the day. We are both home most evenings and weekends and have plenty of flexibility for walks, potty breaks, playtime, and snuggles! We’re happy to maintain your dog’s usual feeding, walking, and sleep schedule as closely as possible so they can feel comfortable and at home while they’re with us.

Communication is key! We try to respond to booking requests the same day so you’re not left waiting to make plans for your pup. For daycare visits, we’ll send photos and an update with each visit. For boarding stays, you can expect at least one photo and update each day, and we’re always available for questions or additional updates! We want every dog in our care to feel safe, comfortable, and at home. We have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time and always feed dogs separately to avoid any issues around food. We’re happy to follow your pup’s normal feeding, potty, walking, sleeping, and medication routines as closely as possible. If your dog is crate trained, we’re also happy to crate them according to their usual routine or at your request. We have a friendly, low-energy dog of our own and are mindful of each dog’s individual personality, energy level, and boundaries. We take introductions slowly and make sure everyone has their own space and downtime when needed.

Information Lauren J. would like to know about your pet

Please let us know about your pet’s typical routine, personality, energy level, and any special needs or quirks we should know about! We’d also like to know about their feeding schedule, medications, potty habits, sleeping preferences, and how they typically interact with other dogs. Since we have a dog of our own, it’s especially important that we know about any history of reactivity, aggression, resource guarding, or anxiety so we can make sure everyone is safe and comfortable. The more we know about your pup, the better we can make their stay feel like home!

A typical day

A typical day with us includes plenty of potty breaks and playtime in our fenced backyard, walks around the neighborhood, and lots of snuggles and downtime inside! Since my husband works from home, the dogs get plenty of company throughout the day. Depending on your pup’s energy level, they can play with our dog Peanut, hang out with us around the house, or curl up and relax. We’re happy to incorporate your dog’s favorite activities and will always do our best to maintain their normal routine while they’re with us!

Pet care experience

I am a psychologist and firmly believe in the healing power of furry friends ✨ My husband and I both grew up with dogs and cats and currently have our soul dog, Peanut—a rescued puggle! She loves making friends and playing, but is also low-energy and happy to chill if your dog gets overwhelmed easily. We were Rover sitters throughout my time in grad school and loved getting to know so many different dogs and their personalities. Now that we’re settled and expecting our baby boy, we’re excited to open our home to furry friends again! Rover is such a fun way for us to stay active, spend time together, and enjoy the company and healing nature of dogs. We know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and we want every dog in our care to feel safe, comfortable, and at home with us.

Our pups loved Lauren! She went above and beyond to make sure they were loved while we were out of town. Lauren even cleaned up an accident that one dog left in the house. Will definitely be rebooking her for our next rover need. Highly reccomend!
